3泊しましたがとても快適でした。明洞の中心にあるので、ちょっとした時間でも買い物や食事に出る事ができ、とても便利ですし、手前の道まではすごく賑やかなのですが、ホテルの前は明洞大聖堂になるので、急に落ち着いた雰囲気になり、夜も静かでした。ラウンジサービスがついており、21階の景色は素晴らしく、コーヒーも美味くカフェ代わりによく利用させて頂きました。 4人部屋でしたが、全員がキャリーケースを開く広さは十分にあり、過不足ありません。スタッフの方にもとても良くして頂きました。Uberでのタクシー配車がうまくいかず困っていたところ、スタッフのキムさんに助けて頂き、色々教えて頂き無事目的地に辿り着く事が出来ました。あえて難点をあげると、明洞駅から向かう際、あまりに人が多く、この中をキャリーケースを引いて歩くのかと、ちょっと躊躇したくらいで、他には思いあたらないです。本当に素晴らしい時間を過ごさせて頂きました。良い思い出をありがとう。

Being an English speaker it was very easy to communicate with the whole staff. From check in to dinning the cleaning staff and security. Perfect location for see all the sights near by Just steps away from shopping and night market. Everyone was kind and helpful. It felt very welcoming and safe. The breakfast buffet was great with wonderful views of the city. Great afternoon tea and light snacks. We were in town 10 days. Two of which were spent in Busan. They stored our extra luggage during that time until our return. Very convenient.

Very pleased on the location, options on the lounge were great. Breakfast was very good. Would highly recommend, however , our room was given to us one hour earlier than check in and unlike other hotels I have stayed at all my life , we were charged a fee. Never seen that before.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and the location was simply unbeatable. Right outside the front door are the bustling shopping streets of Myeongdong, and by night, the area truly comes to life. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the chance to experience the lounge on the top floor this time, but it's definitely on our list for our next visit. The gym was well-equipped and a pleasure to use. One standout moment during our stay was when we were about to miss our KTX train, and no taxis were available. Three employees—MK Choy, St Lee, and Iw Hwang—went above and beyond to assist us. Their dedication was incredible, and the Operations Manager even drove half of our party to Seoul Station on his way home from work. I cannot thank them enough for their kindness and exceptional service. These individuals deserve high praise, and I look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel!

Very impressed by this 4 star hotel and it was money well spent. The size of the room is spacious with 35sm for triple beds. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable for a good night’s sleep. Good quality toiletries were provided as well and housekeeping service was excellent. Concierge and front desk staff were eloquent in English which makes communication a breeze. The gym was well equipped and clean too.

I enjoyed the proximity to all that happens on the Walking Street. I was a bit disappointed when I walked into my room and noticed all of the stains on the carpet. I have to honestly say, that it put me off immediately. The staff were great. The room was cleaned daily. There were many guests staying at the hotel during my visit, which caused for longer waits to get an elevator.

A non smoking room and saw the warning notice of fine KRW 300,000. But we smelled the smoke from the 1st time we opened the door. Never got better until check out. Should have asked for a change, but were busy for our plan. Room 1408 needs to be cleaned again with the smell

The Hotel was nice and clean. However it was a warm March weekend and the hotel didn’t have its air conditioning on. Our room was 27 degrees C (78 degrees F) the entire stay. It was absolutely terrible to try and sleep. They offered us a standing fan which was something, but it didn’t help.

Overall we had a great time. Great location, close to everything. The rooms were fairly clean. The only complaint was the stained floors. We liked that it was near everything but also along the outskirt of Myeongdong strip, still easy access for taxi’s. The staff were overall very helpful and friendly. As it was still in the Myeongdong strip, it was not noisy at all from the rooms. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

I stayed here quite a few times alr. This time I recommend it to my family and we booked 5 rooms, however we took almost 3 hours to check-in, as the staff was unsure of the details and are not able to see our booking on their side. We could only have 2 bottled water a day as said by the front desk. Another thing is the staff was not very good at English, therefore we struggle when communicating. One of the staff/managers even showed attitude as we were at the front desk for long (But it was due to their side, where they cannot see our booking), the only way we solved is to call Expedia to tell the hotel about our booking, and they could find it after. Staff attitude was not very good only when we met with issues during check-in. Hope they can handle such problems better in the future with the right attitude

My recent & 2nd time experience staying 4 nights at this strategically located hotel was alot better than the previous one ! My daughter & I had a wonderful stay, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Check-in & check-out was quick and easy, our room was beautifully appointed and well-maintained. The housekeeping service was impeccable. We especially appreciated the warm welcome note left in the room. Our daily requested for extra towels, toiletries delivered promptly including front desk receptionist, bellhop's assistance with our luggage & taxi booking to airport. Breakfast was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. We'll definitely be back again soon !

This hotel is situated right in the heart of the tourist area full of restaurants and shopping. Easy access to the subway system. I was reading a lot of reviews stating the issues other guests had with the temperature being hot but I didn’t have that issue at all. Breakfast buffet selection was plentiful with both western and korean options (same options everyday) Staff were polite and helpful. Location is a bit harder for taxis to get to due to the high foot traffic in the area, it might take longer than usual for an uber but never had an issue finding one. Overall it was a pleasant stay and will stay again on my next visit.

Royal Hotel Seoul is situated at a prime location smack right in Myeongdong shopping district. Shopping & dining options are wonderful with lots of options. Convenience is surely there! The only con is during weekends, taxis are not willing to pickup in this area as the human traffic jam is too much and too time consuming for them. So taking the public transport works better during weekends.

Location was perfect. Easy to walk to metro and to get about. The night market is 2 mins walk away. Cathedral is pretty and less than 5 mins walk. Lovely hotel. Super clean. Excellent breakfast with Asian and western selection. Th restaurant is Michelin star and amazingly good and not expensive.

The Royal is in a fantastic position in the the thick of all the action in Myeongdong. It is in a quiet position just above the street action. I don’t know where to start. I’m a solo black American female traveler, and I’m always worried about traveling alone and how well I would be received. Mun hee sun and Kevin were amazing! It felt like a home away from home. They surprised with a birthday cake and every day checked in on. I could almost cry with how well they treated me. I didn’t want to leave the hotel. I never wanted to leave the hotel. The service is amazing. Get club access, too. I will be back! I can’t rate them high enough.
