The parking garage access is odd when you arrive and the front gate by hotel is closed. I was driving for 8 hrs prior and did not see any additional information in email. Limited signs in the parking garage made finding the check-in (the bar) confusing PLUS have to go up/down stairs with luggage. The elevators are super confusing. There's no buttons in the elevators. instead a touchscreen in the lobbies and room keycard required to access the floors with rooms. It also doesn't acknowledge the floor selection was successful so you may retry a few times thinking it didn't work. Everyone we ran into had the same feedback. Hotel is trendy and very nice. Service was great. Rooms were super clean and comfortable. Note, there's no microwave/fridge in room. If I had noticed that ahead of time, I would probably have booked elsewhere. Pay the extra for the unlimited parking pass if you plan to drive anywhere. Location is ideal if you want to be downtown and easily walk to shops/restaurants/bars. Overall a nice stay, just included a lot of confusion at times.

Loved the hotel vibe, and rooftop pool area was so nice! My only issue was the complexity of the elevators, and everyone we saw had the same problem! It became a standing joke. But I would definitely come back here!!! Loved the rooftop patio and restaurant, Wildwood. Staff was wonderful, too! Perfect location and an easy walk to everything. Thanks for a great stay 😉

New trendy hotel, downtown Asheville. Next door to and connected to the Aloft so great south slope location. Check in is in the lobby bar... which is a great amenity. Given 2 drink tokens at check in. Staff thruout was excellent. Also is a very nice rooftop. We had a standard king room, it was a small tight space. Bath sink/mirror is in the walkway as you walk in the room is kinda weird, in the way, small sink and not much counter space. Just a 1 nite stay and was adequate. I wouldn't book that if we were staying for a few days. I would stay again.

I booked this last-minute over a holiday weekend and cringed when I hit pay because it was a stretch for my budget. Therefore, I was expecting a $300/experience — and it really wasn’t. The staff were friendly, the location is great, the room/bed/bathroom were clean, and you got a free drink ticket and a ticket to an Orange Peel show when you check in. But the common areas are so full of stuff (games and art) and the seating is so casual that it was a challenge to enjoy doing work in the hotel, which I’d hoped to do on my stay. PLUS, what they don’t tell you is that your hotel entities (pool, parking, bar, restaurant) are shared with the Aloft next door and so I felt like I should have just booked there for less. Also, no fridge in my room was kind of a bummer. Parking is $15, but easy access to hotel.

Would have given this property a 4/5 if it weren’t for the noise until 1am in our room. We were located on the 6th floor - I’m assuming right under the restaurant. There was loud noise until 1am from above us that sounded like moving furniture/jumping/banging. Other smaller issues were the cleanliness of the shared water refill station on the floor and the smell in the hallway on our floor. Our room itself was great. Location is AMAZING - walking distance to everything. The lobby / bar area is great. The view from the rooftop bar is unreal. Will stay again, but request a lower floor option.

Nice property in a good location. However, we experienced some maintenance issues as the shower handle kept coming completely off & the latch on the barn door leading into the bathroom was broken so the door would not stay closed. Not certain if we would stay here again.

Absolutely stay at the Moxy Asheville! Highlights…1. Stunning views from the restaurant/lounge upstairs. The hostess was fine with us walking out to the porch to take in the views. 2. So many free games on the “upper lobby”. Shuffle board, arcade game and tons of board games. 3. The room is small but super clean and modern. And the shower was awesome. 4. You get “Moxy bottle caps” when you check in that you can use towards free drinks during your stay. 5. We were staying to be close to the Orange Peel for a concert, and could not have been more convenient. We pre-gamed in the cute lobby/bar area, ate a Few slices of pizza from a carry-out pizza joint (Manicomio) only three door up, used our bottle cap free drinks. The lobby served as a cool hangout spot. Corey was super helpful at check-in. The hotel may cost a little more than others, but totally worth it. Parking was only about $15 and right next to the hotel.

Rooms are very small. Barely any space between the bed. Bathroom sink area is crazy small. No space to put toiletries. Shower is awesome! No room to move in the room. Items do not stay on hooks because they slope slightly. Found my belongings on the floor several times. Hotel is modern and clean. Parking ramp is attached to the hotel.

Location was great. Room was immaculate and hotel was fun. However, rooms were tiny!!! Not a bit of storage, no nightstand and sink was so small that it was impossible to wash my face without getting feet wet. Did not like that sink was not in bathroom. Nix the chair and get a dresser. Also don’t like that there was no mini fridge or coffee maker.

This was great place to stay! Well located and a nice 2 story lobby facing the Main Street. Games and activities in the lobby and areas to spread out was great. The rooms are small but very well designed. Only minor complaint is they seemed understaffed in that empty glasses in the lobby area spread across tables stayed there all day! Very minor but worth noting.

We booked this room just as we arrived in Asheville, NC. We were just going to be in town for one night so we didn’t want to spend a fortune. At $223 this was about the best we could do if we wanted to be in the city center area. Our reservation included parking which is important when stay in a main city area. Moxy is a Marriott property. The lobby was very nice. They gave us 2 drink tokens and had live music from 6-8pm. The elevators are quite unique. You select your floor before you enter. There are no buttons once you get in. Seems like a nice security feature. Our room was very small. It’s kinda weird, the very small sink is in the room and not the bathroom. We had to fight to get our free parking. It was clear on the reservation that self-parking was included. The garage next door had a huge sign showing hotel guests where to park. The receptionist kept insisting that only self-parking was included. I said several times that we did self-park but she said we were in the city garage which is the one that has the hotel parking sign. She finally got angry and validated our ticket. I still don’t understand her point. And to be clear, we did confirm with the desk clerk when we arrived that we had parked in the correct garage. The one with an entrance to the hotel.

The Moxy is in a great location in downtown Asheville. It was difficult to find the parking garage and when we did the sign said full. We didn't know until we checked in that even if it says full that there are spaces for hotel guests. The rooms are small with no fridge or coffee maker. Coffee is available downstairs. The clerks and bartenders were great except for the one on Monday morning when we checked out. She did not speak or tell me I was good to go.

Very hip hotel with cool, boho vibe. Very good and interesting restaurant on 7th floor with beautiful view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. I had reserved a small king room but was given a double queen room. Bathroom is very cool. Bedroom feels like a cramped college dorm room but was okay for 1. Welcome cocktail was nice touch. It’s connected to the Marriott Loft so facilities can be shared. Parking was difficult. Great central location.

Appreciated the location and friendliness of the staff. Welcoming drink was a nice touch. The arrangement of the beds was odd, one offset from the other, but beds were very comfortable. There is no in room coffee, but there is complimentary coffee in the lobby. Rooftop bar was absolutely fabulous.

Modern looking property with great customer service, a freebie (cocktail or mocktail), access to gym, and option to purchase breakfast through Aloft. The room was clean, including the bathroom/shower. The showerhead was waterfall-like, which was just what I needed. I suffer from allergies and after the stuff night my nose was stuffy and my eyelids were swollen. Took a pill for allergies and didn't worry about it again. The only two (2) downsides - there's no working desk and there's no mini fridge. There's a seat with a super tiny desktop attached to it which is pretty uncomfortable to sit on and work at. And since there was no mini fridge, I couldn't keep a yogurt or anything that needed refrigeration with me. Overall it's a great stay for leisure but certainly not for business. I'm aware they do have a community-centered table on the first floor but it's not the same as having a dedicated workspace in your room. Overall it's a great hotel and I would come back again just for leisure.
