Staff were friendly and helpful (helped us carry out luggage to the front entrance) only downside is that there is an escalator or stairs that you must take to the hotel lobby where the elevator is. I don't know if it's convenient for people with accessibility issues however there is a sign to call for staff support if you are in need. Rooms were clean and relatively spacious, but the bathroom was a bit small (standard for Japan I suppose) Good location, close to everything (shopping, restaurants, Shibuya Scramble).

Expensive but great location. Great breakfast, noisy though because mostly foreigners staying here. Staff can speak English. Drinking water machine on each floor was convenient. I guess they get used to dealing with mostly foreigners as this was a rare hotel here where the staff most of the time didn't greet me when walking in.

Great location close to Shibuya station with access to all the places you want to visit in Tokyo - Shinjuku, Ginza, Naka Meguro, and any easy 15-20min walk along Cat street to Omotesando and Harajuku. Like that they have laundry (washing machine and dryers) and vending machines on 5th Floor. Ice making machine also came in handy. Wish Smart TVs with YouTube were in every room but are only in higher grade ones.

The room was smaller than I expected and smaller than it appeared in the photos online, but it had everything we needed, and we made it work. For the price and location, this place is hard to beat. The Wi-Fi was fast. I appreciated the free umbrellas available in the lobby for guests to use. The front desk staff were also very accommodating and they arranged two rooms next to each other for us, while other hotels on our trip had placed us on different floors. A few minor downsides: the trash bins in the room were quite small and filled up quickly. The shower was very compact, and the shower head was positioned quite low, which made it a bit uncomfortable for people of average height. Dryers in the laundry room were not efficient as our clothes were still wet after.

Excellent central location. Great transportation links. Hotel was really clean. Staff accommodating and friendly. All you can eat breakfast for a reasonable price, plenty of selection both asian and western options. There was also a selection of free products for guests in the hotel lobby (razor, tooth brush etc) Smoking pods with zero smell - which as a none smoker i found great. Comfortable room and beds. Would recommended Bad point (sorry) - there was a laundry room with 2 dryers, 2 washing machines, and a 3rd with both. Dryers didnt dry very well. But staff did give us more hangers for our room.

Staff very nice lent us umbrellas one morning. Location is excellent, in the middle of everything. McDonald’s next door, Mega Don Quixote 5-10 minute walk. Shibuya station 5 minutes away. The room was typical size of a Japanese hotel. Most of the reception spoke English so check-in was easy. We did not use the laundry or have the breakfast. The room and bathroom was slightly rundown but still clean. I notice crevices where there was dust that could use a deeper clean. Bed and bedding were very comfortable and had an excellent night’s sleep. Centrally located so very convenient.

Rooms are very small granted it is a Japanese hotel bathtubs are very small. My biggest issue was you don’t have dinner at your restaurant you have breakfast and lunch but no dinner no bar nowhere to sit and have a drink

Excellent location and amazing service. The hotel is so well located, just steps away from the main station and Shibuya Scramble. They offer free coffee/tea, packaged snacks and soft drinks from 3pm onwards. It’s such a great service for a weary traveller.

Had some issues staying here, particularly in the cleanliness department. Hotel showers stalls in the room are yellowed with tar from smoking in the bathroom. The tar could be easily scrapped off with a tissue and firm pressure from your finger, makes me wonder if the tub is ever truly cleaned beyond a wipe down. The hotel is advertised as non-smoking, however our first room in the 11th floor smelled terrible of cigarette smoke. I am very allergic to cigarette smoke, and we had to ask the front desk to see the room smell for themselves and they could smell it too. We showed one of the staff the tar yellow film on the shower and showed him how we were able to easily scrape it off and he agreed that it was dirty in both rooms it was the same issue. They don’t clean. They only make the beds, and change the towels that’s it.

They also kindly held onto our luggage until our taxi pickup after we checked out. This location is very close to the Shibuya station which makes it easy to travel to other tourist attractions. It is only couple blocks from Shibuya crossing which is great for shopping and dining. We found the bed sheet was dirty. We called the front desk and the staff changed it right away. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this location.

Location was great. Right next to metro station and the shibuya crossing. But the rooms were tiny and not as clean as I was expecting; my non smoking room smelled of smoke. Overall it was not bad. Had a queen bed that fit myself and my 2 teenage daughters

Not worth the money. Room was unclean with stains on the carpet and stains on the sheets. Parts of the carpet coming up and furniture falling apart. Cups in the bathroom appeared to be dirty as well. Bathroom reminds me of a cruise ship bathroom. Room is small but gets the job done. Room is also very hot and you can’t adjust the temperature below 68 degrees. It didnt feel like 68 degrees it’s felt like 80 degrees. Happy I only stayed one night. Staff were nice though

Good location as in close in Shibuya, lobby is nice but the rooms are super outdated and the bathroom is beyond tiny, like being a cruise ship or caravan. Our window also faced out to another building so we were looking at a wall. Next time I would spend a little extra money for a nicer place and be way more comfortable overall. I think staying in Shibuya is also the equivalent of staying in surfers paradise on the gold coast and not thinking it’s very nice… it’s just super touristy and busy - there are way better places to stay which for a short walk or train trip are a much nicer overall experience (speaking as an Aussie)

This was a great room for our last night in Japan as we came back to Tokyo before flying home. The location is so incredibly convenient. You are a block from Shibuya station and there are tons of great restaurants and bars only minutes away. The only downside of a that the rooms are very small. It was a very tight squeeze for two people so I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a longer stay.

Shibuya Tokyu REI is ideal for anyone who wants to stay in central Shibuya, as it’s only a 2 minute walk from both Shibuya Station and the Shibuya Scramble Crossing. However, the room is amongst the smallest I’ve experienced in Tokyo. The air conditioning doesn’t seem to work because despite setting the room’s thermostat to 20 degrees celsius / high setting, the room was always quite warm and stuffy for our entire stay. This was made worse by the fact that windows in the room cannot be opened. All that hotel staff could offer was a rotating fan for the room, which helped a bit, but then also created the issue of pushing dust into our faces as we slept, as the room was not dusted properly. The staff are lovely though, and always helpful. The hotel also has a laundry room which is handy and well priced, however the washers didn’t seem to do a great job at cleaning our clothes, with dirt still visible on all of our socks and garments. Overall, our stay at Shibuya Tokyu REI was ok; not great, but not terrible.

Excellent service from all the staff. Extremely helpful when shipping our luggage to the next destination. The rooms dont get particularly cool. I am menopausal and was very hot. That is my only issue. Everything else is perfect! Super easy to check in and out. We stayed twice so far. Will be back in the fall too.

We had a great stay at Shibuya Tokyu Rei hotel. Location was perfect. Close to the train stations, Shibuya scramble crossing and Shibuya sky. Harajuku was just a 20min walk away. Staff were so friendly and always willing to help with directions and recommendations. We had a lovely stay and would stay here again.

Beside being near Shibuya station, NOTHING much about the hotel is nice, staff stand around talking to each other, not greeting the guests even when they walk passed them. I mean if the hotel doesn't welcome foreigner guests then the hotel should not take in any of them. Why make the paying guests uncomfortable? If the hotel need the money from the foreigner then it is better to do the hospitality job as trained in any hospitality school, unless the staff has NEVER under go such training. I will not recommend this hotel & the room is also very dusty even it is clean daily.

Excellent service and location. My Japanese is.. non existent but they understood my english and were great to cater to all my needs for my stay. Room is small for american standards but its Tokyo so its expected. Bed is comfortable and the projector TV was great after navigating through to the Youtube app. Great location right across from Shibuya Crossing and couldnt ask for a better place. Will be there again definitely

Great hotel with friendly staff and fair prices. Highly convenient to everything in Shibuya, including the scramble crossing, Harajuku, transit, etc. As a tall person (6’3”), the room I received took some getting used to. The bed was comfortable enough. The bathroom was tiny though. The building was pretty quiet during my stay. My room faces the street and it wasn’t very loud. The hall and neighboring room were quiet as well. All in all, this hotel is very good and I would stay here again.

I have stayed in many hotels on many trips to Japan. This was by far the worst staff service. It took us an hour to check in because they did not have our reservation. Then the clerk requested an expedia search from the back office and they brought a print out with our reservation but the clerks continued to claim they did not have our reservation. Expedia should make sure the hotel honors our reservation with the rooms reserved. We did not get the rooms we reserved. When we checked out, we asked the clerk to make a dinner reservation for us and she refused saying we had already checked out. We had checked out 1 minute earlier and also had paid for another room for a family member who was staying one more night but she was not willing to make the phone call. We will never stay at another Tokyu hotel.

Staff was super helpful - received our luggage that was lost by the airline and kept it safe until we arrived at this hotel 2 days later. They allowed us to check in early and helped us ship our luggage forward once our cruise got delayed and we had to move hotels. Very friendly! Easy location to find and to travel to/from.

I love the buffet breakfast, enough variety that i did not eat the same everyday. Room is snug (not unusual for Japan and Europe) but intelligent designed so that you have all you need and extremely clean; I could not find dust! Staff are so genuine and attentive. Literally steps from Shibuya Station, cannot ask for more. Thank you fir a wonderful stay.

If you want to stay in Shibuya for a reasonable price look no further. This location is perfect, right next to Shibuya crossing. Literally 30 second walk. Has everything you need nearby. The hotel is clean and modern, with all amenities and a nice breakfast. Rooms are not spacious but not extremely small either. Perfect for 1-2 people.
