Everything was great! The only minor issues are 1. The parking lot is in pretty rough shape. There are several sizable potholes. 2. This is a really minor one, there are no usb outlets in the room, so if you son’t bring a usb wall charger, you aren’t charging your phone, or tablet etc in the room. Luckily there’s a walmart around the corner where i ran to grab one. Also, you can’t stream to the tv, so if you’re watching tv, you’re watching direct tv.

The outside of the hotel is in really poor condition but they are working on it. Thankfully the rooms have been all renovated and are very nice. The breakfast was great, good variety. The maintenance/laundry guy was awesome and a hard worker!

The rooms are recently renovated and nice. The pool was closed during our stay but should be open next year. Its a convenient location to Bar Harbor and Bangor. Breakfast was decent. Staff not very friendly.

Staff were pleasant and helpful and made check in fast and easy. Rooms were recently renovated and very large and clean. Housekeeping was on request. It is across the parking lot from a Hannaford, which was very helpful with the kitchenette in the room. Pool was closed, but no big deal because we were too busy hiking nearby in Acadia. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.

Overall, the hotel was nice. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very well kept. The only issue is that it does not have an elevator so keep that in mind. The free breakfast did not have very many healthy options, but it was not bad by any means. I could see it being a good option for other families just not for our needs.I do like how they had coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours. The service was great. The location was good too because we weren’t too far from Acadia national park. We would definitely stay there again.

Friendly and professional staff. Enjoyed seeing the manager's dog in the lobby. He was a Friendly dog.Our room appeared to be recently renovated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Adequate offerings for breakfast including hot breakfast sandwiches. It took about 25 minutes to drive to Acadeia and Bar Harbor, a tad further than I expected.Grocery store within walking distance. Sufficient parking. On the downside there is no ramp or elevator to the second floor. And 3 steps to enter first floor rooms from the lobby

My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our dog to visit Bar Harbor. The staff were all super friendly - really couldn’t have been nicer. The reason for my low review is because we found a live bedbug on our second night. I captured it and took it to the front desk and Sam took it very seriously, acted immediately, and moved us to a different room at the opposite end of the hotel, after she personally inspected the new room to ensure it was clean. They also refunded our stay. This can understandably happen after a busy season with so many travelers but this bug was full grown and just chilling on my pillow, telling me their pest control policy may not be up to par. We would have left and found another hotel but it was 10:30pm and we were traveling with our dog. We inspected the new room and didn’t find any evidence of bugs. The room was clean and comfortable.

My room was not ready at 3pm and I did not get in until 3:45. The room was filthy—hair stuck to the shower walls, dog hair everywhere, stains, and even trash left in the freezer. The heating unit’s buttons were broken and it barely worked. Water damage on the walls and ceilings had not been repaired. Overall, the room was unsanitary, poorly maintained, and far below expectations. I’ve requested a refund.

We checked into the first room and it was awful, the front desk person was very nice and found another room for us. The second room was better but not to the standard that I am use too. Our two night stay there was over $500 and the manager only refunded me $75 for the poor conditions of the first room, which included mouse droppings, a dead bug, and chips on the floor between night stand and bed. Needless to say we will never stay at another Wyndham Property again.

The staff was friendly and the extended say room has great amenities, however the place itself was outdated and the hallways were dark and uninviting. The room did not meet my expectations as far as cleanliness, which to me is a huge issue. The furniture had noticeable dust, the dishwasher had odor from food particles left from use and the floor left our sock dirty and with someone else’s pubic hair. We hadn’t even removed our clothes or used the bathroom when we found the hairs on the socks, so the hairs certainly did not come from us. We did ask the front desk to have housekeeping do a thorough job of sweeping and mopping which was done. We understand the pressure and demands of staffing and running a hotel but cleanliness MUST be a priority in this type of establishment.

King bed kitchenette had no couch or other chair to sit on, just two table chairs. Very small room. No extra pillows or blankets in room. Kitchenette was nicely equipped. Hannaford’s next door- no need to bring food.

The bed is on noisy box springs. You can't sit or moved on them without them making a loud noise and the mattress is not comfortable. Everything else is very nice

The room was spacious, having a recently renovated kitchenette was nice to have--if we stayed longer, I'd definitely take advantage. The hotel is about 30m away from Acadia, and is located in a small strip mall area. Having food options, gas stations, a grocery store, and TJ Maxxx, etc. is all convenient. The bed was comfortable enough, bathroom was clean and recently updated. My only comfort issues was the pillows and the AC. Despite having 3 of them, they were all lumpy with no support. That did affect my sleep. The AC was loud at night and would make a rattling sound despite our best efforts to stop it. A newer TV with streaming options would be nice. All in all, a good option if you need a place to crash after a long day in Acadia.

Nice-sized room with decent bathroom. Mattress was horrible--there was a "sinkhole" in the middle of one side. The Wifi was horrific and barely worked. Bed and A/C made weird noises.

Really liked that they had Tesla charging station next to the hotel. Breakfast for typical and room and bathroom were clean. Only thing I disliked was how soft the mattress was and pillow were almost flat. They need to have the form mattresses and pillows. Couldn’t sleep, tossed and turned all night to find a position that was comfortable. Most of the hotels have the same issues but it was only one night so dealt with it. It’s only two stories and we took the stairs to go to our room on the second floor which I had requested not sure if there was an elevator. Overall it was fine and 23 mins from Bar Harbor/Acadia NP

This hotel is located right outside Acadia. It is next to a supermarket and walking distance to lots of restaurants. The hotel is super clean. The rooms have wooden floors which is a plus! The beds are comfy and clean. The kitchen area is fully stocked with items like plates, utensils, paper towels, dishwasher and a large fridge. Breakfast is good. I highly recommend this hotel.

A closet that served no purpose, having no doors or a clothing rack, took up valuable space, causing the double beds to be offset, with one positioned directly against the HVAC unit. Overall, the room design was poor. There was water damage on the ceiling directly above one of the beds, with the texture peeling away. It appeared as though it had been patched at some point, but not properly repaired. What I found most unpleasant, however, was the overwhelming odor upon entering the reception area, a mix of old building, cigarette smoke, and animal smells. The hallways leading to the rooms had a noticeable sewer odor. In the evening, a dog barked repeatedly, disturbing the peace. If odors aren’t an issue for you, this hotel might be fine, but I won’t be staying here again. There are too many other far better options.

We had an excellent stay! The suite room we had was big enough for three adults. The beds were comfortable. The small kitchen had all we needed. The bathroom water pressure was good. The entire inn seemed recently renovated. The front desk was very courteous and efficient. The breakfast room was large, but the layout could be improved to increase the flow of people. Food options for breakfast were just okay. There were a few restaurants nearby also.

Room was absolutely filthy upon check-in. They would not move us or have someone clean the room. The desk staff's solution was to hand me cleaning supplies and have me clean my room MYSELF. Spoke to management the following day and got further runaround, saying they'll "try" to compensate me but have to check. Stonewalled me and refused monetary compensation, but they were kind and generous enough to leave Doritos and a bottle of water in my room the following day. Thanks for the $3 worth of snacks to compensate for a disgusting room full of dirt and pubic hair! Building condition is poor as well. Room was absolutely filthy upon check-in. They would not move us or have someone clean the room. The desk staff's solution was to hand me cleaning supplies and have me clean my room MYSELF. Spoke to management the following day and got further runaround, saying they'll "try" to compensate me but have to check. Stonewalled me and refused monetary compensation, but they were kind and generous enough to leave Doritos and a bottle of water in my room the following day. Thanks for the $3 worth of snacks to compensate for a disgusting room full of dirt and pubic hair! Building condition is poor as well. Top notch customer service and very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice clean room. We had a great time in Maine, little bit inconvenient to drive back and forth from Bar harbor but it was economical. Loved this place overall and will stay here again in the future.

I had booked a Superior room with sofa bed and had also paid the additional cost for the Superior room when booking one month in advance. However, when checking in I was given a smaller room with no sofa bed. The lady at the front desk said they are sold out and the Superior room is not available. If I would have been informed about this while booking then I would have booked some other hotel.

This was a great choice for our family of two adults, three teenagers and two dogs. The location was close enough to Bar Harbor without the high cost of lodging. The rooms are newly renovated with efficiency kitchens. The full size refrigerator allowed us to stock up on food from Walmart and eat throughout of four night stay, which saved us a lot of money. The daily breakfast had a lot of hearty offerings. The afternoon cookies in the lobby were an added treat. This hotel offers a gym and soon their pool will reopen. All employees from Katie at the front desk to the ladies in housekeeping were all so pleasant and nice to speak with. Even from my first phone call to this hotel to add my dogs to the reservafion, everyone was always so polite and professional. I'm glad we chose Hawthorn Suites for our time while visiting Acadia and Bar Harbor. We had a great four nights here. If we ever come back to Acadia, we would not hesistate to rebook another stay here!

Friendly and professional staff. Enjoyed seeing the manager's dog in the lobby. He was a Friendly dog.Our room appeared to be recently renovated. Comfortable bed and pillows. Adequate offerings for breakfast including hot breakfast sandwiches. It took about 25 minutes to drive to Acadeia and Bar Harbor, a tad further than I expected.Grocery store within walking distance. This hotel is located right outside Acadia. It is next to a supermarket and walking distance to lots of restaurants. The hotel is super clean. The rooms have wooden floors which is a plus! The beds are comfy and clean. The kitchen area is fully stocked with items like plates, utensils, paper towels, dishwasher and a large fridge. Breakfast is good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel okay, bed very creaky, and hallways smelled like food. Breakfast did not include any hot eggs. The egg choices were either cold hard boiled or breakfast sandwiches you had to heat in the microwave. The last day we were there however, hot omelette like egg patties were served. Overall, the hotel was nice. The rooms were very clean and the hotel was very well kept. The only issue is that it does not have an elevator so keep that in mind. The free breakfast did not have very many healthy options, but it was not bad by any means. I could see it being a good option for other families just not for our needs.I do like how they had coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24 hours. The service was great. The location was good too because we weren’t too far from Acadia national park. We would definitely stay there again.

Room was very basic. Bathroom door knob was broken. Everytime we shut the door, we would get locked inside and had to call the maintenance guy to unblock the door. Breakfast included in the hotel was very pretty boring. There was no hot breakfast. It was only things like cereal, waffles and bread. Coffee machine kept breaking down but fresh coffee was prepared by the staff on request.

This place was close to restaurants and groceries which was convenient for our extended stay. But the WiFi was slow and the cable kept cutting out on a rainy day that we stayed in due to weather. The only real thing lacking is the food. Something as simple as having a nice coffee is key. It was so watery that we went to McDonald's. The front desk is nice as well as the rest of the staff. Plenty of parking. Close to Arcadia park and shopping is right next door
