Zadun Los Cabos, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve

We had an incredible experience at Zandun! The property is gorgeous, the amenities are top-shelf, and the service is first-class! Not to mention incredible the restaurants and 24-hour room service. They have a great workout facility (and protein bar) if you exercise. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was. We also need to recognize our Tosani (Nicolas) and beach concierge (Amyris). They were there at every turn and anticipated every need we had. Highly recommend Zandun a Ritz Carlton Reserve!

I am very picky and do lots of planning before choosing. Ritz surpassed our expectations and we will for sure come back. The staff was incredible and our butlers were top notch. The staff was great with my child’s allergies and made us feel very welcome. The gym was also really nice with lots of great machines and free weights. We will return for sure!

From the beginning, it was absolutely amazing. I chose to get an airport transportation through the hotel. Everything was seamless and as described. I was picked up in the suburban and dropped off in a navigator. Both trucks were pristine and very clean. Both drivers were very friendly and informative, and answered all the questions that I had. Once at the hotel, I was greeted and lead to check in by my daytime Tosoani/butler Guillermo, at check in someone was waiting there to make a drink of my preference and then I checked in. Everyone was so friendly and happy to see you there. I was then hand-delivered to spa staff whom presented me with a gift certificate for 2 hours of hydrotherapy. After that, I was escorted to my room by golf cart and once there I was shown around the entire room and shown how everything works. Everything was explained in detail and perfectly. My nighttime Tosoani, Diego introduced himself and made himself available to me throughout the night if I needed anything. Both Tosoani's communicate by text message, which makes everything very simple and easy. They set me up with dinner, reservations, a private dinner on the beach, and also suggested their recommendations for excursions off the resort grounds. As a solo traveler, I felt very taken care of and very safe the entire time. The entire staff made me feel seen and important. I went during off-season (Aug), so there weren't a lot of guest there, which was perfect. I'd definitely go back again.

This resort is amazing. The rooms, the facilities and the incredible service. Zadun has a special option for kosher guests and the food and service was amazing. The spa experience was breathtaking . Wonderful experience and hope to return.

The only complaints were that we wish the pools were a tad cooler, felt like swimming in bath water, and that the adults only pool was larger.

The beach has huge waves creating a spectacular booming crash on the shore, but that also makes it very dangerous for kids. There are amazing pools kept at a perfect temperature instead. The spa has excellent facilities if you book a treatment and programs for very light yoga and meditation that are mostly complimentary. Food is top notch and top priced. The wine list was not reasonable price for the selection, so I had cocktails top priced as well, but discouraged over drinking (at least for me) and were delicious. The best amenities for me, however, were the ambassadors program for the kids and our tosanari. My kids were spoiled by Zadun and treated as respectfully as I was treated at all times. My kids' special requests were always accommodated. My son got a few bug bites from playing in the sand and when I asked for advice about them, I was surprised to find a medication for him in the room with a handwritten note wishing him a speedy recovery from the bite accompanied by a paint set and activity pad. On this note I would say to adults only travellers who don't like kids, there are rooms with privacy, plunge pools and a responsive room service team where you can relax in peace. Zadun is a great choice for your next luxury vacation that I strongly recommend.

I cannot say enough, or find enough properly effusive adjectives, to give the staff and resulting atmosphere due credit. It is not possible to overstate how much we enjoyed our trip.

Beautiful Property, Terrible Service – Not Worth the Price Unfortunately, our stay at the Ritz-Carlton Cabo was far from five-star. From the moment we arrived, service was slow, disorganized, and inconsistent. It took over 30 minutes to get help at the pool, and nearly an hour to place drink and food orders — and this happened more than once. Despite having a “butler,” we constantly had to ask for basic service. Loud neighbors went unchecked for hours, and when it rained briefly, the pool and restaurant shut down with no effort to assist guests — no umbrellas, no carts, no communication. Worst of all, part of the ceiling collapsed in our bathroom while my daughter was inside. The response was slow, impersonal, and careless. No one followed up to check on her. When I brought it up at checkout, the manager just blamed the butler and apologized — no resolution, no gesture of accountability. The property is beautiful and the food was good, but the service and management were a major letdown. Mauricio at the bar was the only standout. We won’t be returning and do not recommend wasting your money here.

My wife and I take a trip to Cabo on a yearly basis. For the last 15 plus years we have only stayed at another 5 star resort and residences. This is our first time staying at another property, but this time with the kids as well. I can't say enough about this resort. Probably tied with the best resort we have ever stayed at. The property is immaculate, staff and service was incredible, and the food was top notch. Our family excursions for beach day and whale watching, along with all our transportation needs were taken care of down to every detail. Our "Tosoanis" (or personal concierges) were incredible as well. Food was top notch. In my reviews of hotels, I usually will at least mention at least one flaw, and I honestly can't think of one. Also, this is our first time staying farther north near San Jose Del Cabo. It was a pleasure to be so close to the town and be able to go there for a few dinners off property. San Jose is so much nicer and family friendly that going to actual Cabo farther down south. Cannot recommend this property more.

Limited dining options, really missed La Taqueria in 2022 was open more and a highlight of the property. TV didn't work for the room. Tosoani was not as responsive as promised.

We had a fabulous anniversary stay at Zadun. Edgar and Mara were very responsive and attentive. They surprised us with so many “extras” that made our time there so special. They entire staff on the property was amazing. We will definitely return!

If privacy and peace are important to you I can't imagine finding a more ideal hotel. The tradeoff to this is that you are removed from the town and you will need transportation if you want to do anything off property.

A few notes for people as you make plans: The food throughout the resort is solid Cocktails are nothing special and priced upwards of $25. This adds up quickly. The signature restaurant, Humo, did not impress. For two people to eat here (with two cocktails total and no other alcohol) cost $450. The food was good, but not as good as other places we ate at in the town of San Jose Del Cabo itself for half the price. In other words, get off the reservation. The restaurant, Equis, was our favorite on property, though El Barrio is also great as the everyday eatery. I felt somewhat misled by pictures of the beautiful beach, given that the water is unswimmable due to rocks on the shoreline. I’m sure this is written somewhere on the website, but I didn’t see it. Granted, this is the case for most of Cabo, so if you want to swim in the ocean, you probably need to stay at the Montage, which was a very similar experience to Zadun. Ubers are easy to obtain, so take advantage to go into San Jose.

Beautiful Place for Couples NOT kids or Fun friendly. No access to Beach and of course no Beach activities too bad for à Ritz than I used to have all around our family available.
