Stayed overnight on the drive from Edmonton to Vancouver Island. Room (and overall property) was dated and a bit beat up, but clean. Mattress was overly soft and needed replacing. Limited parking stalls - we had to park on the access road and were a bit worried about our car full of stuff. Extremely fine for our needs but probably won’t stay again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was fine, a comfy place to sleep. Stayed in the east building, the place is due for some updating and the breakfast was pretty basic. There was a plug in for my electric car which was handy. Felt safe and would consider staying again if in Kamloops.

The room was extremely dirty, the sofa bed wasn't made (no linens provided), and it looked like there was poop on the mattress, pubic hair in the lotion and soap dispensers, mold in the bathroom, air conditioner was broken and making loud noises so we had to unplug it to sleep so the room was extremely hot. We still have nightmares about the horrible night spent in this disgusting hotel.

I have stayed here before. I stayed only a month ago. This time it cost me $150 more (for 2 days) and the room was unpleasant. The window was cracked and filthy the floor squeaked like a 1920s home, the bathroom door jammed all the time, and the grout in the bathtub was not clean. There was bits of garbage on every carpet in the building. I had enjoyed my stay there in the past so this was pretty disappointing.

The room was located in a building behind the parking lot so it didn't get the noise from the traffic on Columbia St. The door to the room however had a gap through to the hallway and people talking and closing doors could be heard. The pillows were nice and soft - just perfect for me. The bed was a bit lumpy with a ridge down the center. There was lots of room and good flooring. The tub had been replaced with a step-in shower and although it was probably fairly new, it's got chips in it already. The walls could use a wipe down. The staff was excellent. It was no problem to leave my car there in the morning while I went for surgery. When I returned I didn't have to pay for the drink I had chosen from the concession room and was also given a goodie bag. The desk clerk ran up the stairs after I took the elevator to make sure that I could find my room. It was a very pleasant stay.

This is an older hotel that is divided into several buildings on a hillside. Parking is kind of weird and the spaces are small. Not any reserved parking for checking in, so the lobby is kind of obscured to identify it. All asise, the bed was tired and sagged in the middle, floors are worn and of a hard surface, not carpet. The hotel was quiet, but noise easily heard in the hallways when someone walked by. Nice bathroom towels and hot water. The TV is big enough, but ours was unplugged and the HDMI input kept moving to an anolouge input which was frustrating. The price is for budget conscious and I wouldn't expect to pay more. Breakfast is "not included" as so many other places work that into their prices. For that reason, I would probably choose a different place next time and have breakfast included

The customer service here is exceptional- check in was easy and helpful. They noticed we had our bikes on our vehicle and offered to store them for us so we didn't have to bring them to the room. A nice little welcome gift and good breakfast. The hotel is not fancy, undergoing some reno's, but for the low price and exceptional service, it was totally worth it

Check-in was awful. Room keys didn’t work, went back to get them to work. Then walked in on someone’s room they had booked for a second night. Everyone was looking for a fifth floor because the check-in clerk could not write a 3 properly. Room had no hand soap. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Not a fresh juice, fruit or anything of the sort. I will be coming to Kamloops a lot as my daughter is attending university here. I will never book here again.

Hotel staff were very unhelpful. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. When we called, we were told it's impossible, essentially we were liars. Refused to move us to another room. The parking is horrible. I would not recommend this property, if you can help it.

While this hotel would have received a 4* rating from me as it checked the box of a comfortable sleep for one night as a last minute booking, there is a major safegaurding concern regarding the front desk staff. I checked in as a single female, with a lobby full of out of country tourists. There must have been at least 20-25 people checking in at the same time as when I checked in, and the staff member who checked me in felt it necessary to announce my room number out loud within earshot of all of them. This is not only unnecessary as it is written on the sleeve of my room key, but also announces to every man (and woman) that there is a young female checking in ALONE to room number ___. It is standard practice in the hotel industry to not do this to anyone checking in, female/single or not, and I feel like this was a major oversight. The reason I’m bothering to leave a review is because I mentioned this on the feedback portion during online checkout and never recieved a response, which leads me to believe that they do not care and don’t see or understand why this would be an issue.

I was very upset we went to the restaurant in the hotel. Ordered at the bar to get our meals at the table. It was almost an hour and still waiting. The waitress was outside drinking a beer with her friend. Did not wait any longer ordered a pizza from local place got it delivered in 1/2 hour .

The hotel itself is showing its age a bit. While it was quite clean for the most part, its age prevented it from feeling spotless. Many of the hotels around were either vacant or shut down completely which added to the run down vibe. Both the lounge and dining were shut down so there wasn't very much to do. The location is very close to lots of shopping and dining outside the hotel so that's a plus as well as the view of the city was quite nice. The staff were pleasant but didn't go out of their way to be helpful. So I really felt overall, it was a nice place but I probably look at another hotel to stay in the future.

Air conditioning was to cold for the night and couldn’t set it off had to unplug it. Went to the dinning room for dinner had to stand at the bar to order , handed my husband a beer , brought my tea to table . Waited almost an hour for our food eggs and an omelette. Waitress didn’t check on us and went outside with a friend and drank beer. Still waiting so we put money on the table and left. Too long a wait there were no other people in the room so it should have been fifteen minutes. I told the night desk staff and ended ordering a pizza down the road got it in 15 minutes. Very disappointed.
