Ilford York Hotel

Not safe place,the housekeeper entered my room without letting me know, while i was having shower on another floor of the building, you should have some stickers on the door for your customers to use to let you know if they want or no housekeeping, they don't have available shower on the first floor,poor services i do not recommend going there, the fire alarm was on at 9 pm evening, i just woke up scared and went downstairs to ask reception what happened, and they were trying to sort out problems with neighbours and the smoke that was coming from them to york hotel,it is not a clean place, i had to leave 2 days before my checkout without any money back only my deposit, which is unfair as they don't provide a safe place to stay, also the money are non refundable,anyway i am happy i am out from there, the rooms smell like urine, walls are dirty, this place should be closed, toilet on first floor doesn't flush, the other toilet it's good to use but the people they use don't clean after themselves, overall a horrible experience, i hope not to see this place anymore and i would rather sleep on the streets than inside that place, i think you should have friendly staff at reception and not treat your customers with disrespect

This is good property for budgetary room in London and more space in room size for move around, easy access to trains and shops, needs bathroom fittings and cleanliness to be done twice a day... entry and leaving to be monitored from unknown visitors, room key are manual needs key card access to all facilities this will improve this place, toilets are limited and not cleaned on daily basis, fire alarm goes on in the night too.. taking deposit to be avoided , else very friendly Propety and closer to all major shops and connectivity to central London trains which is best to live with budget room.. I stayed for 7days which is very interesting to learn about this property.. homely atmosphere.. 😀👏👍

Shower was clogged and kept overflowing, so I had to stay dirty.

The drainer water in shower box was clogged, so the water is coming out all to the bathroom floor, flooding around it. The room has no even a clothes handler for. I could say more but I’ll stop here.

One shower for 14 rooms, this is really awful. Not enough toilet paper in toilet. Bad smell. No kettle in room.

Bus and overground is nearby, underground is not. Thereare plenty od atores and placeba to eat in the vicinity. The hotel was supoosed to Jave a kitchen gor guests. Well it is not equiped and is a mesa. Unusable.

Get what you pay for. Toilets were all blocked and unusable. Sock trails up the stairs

Bedroom was really filthy and smelly, bathroom and toilet was disgusting couldn't use it, Management were rude also most importantly you have to pay £50 deposit without even mentioning anywhere including in the booking. When challenged, the owner did not want to understand or listen, its like he done me a favour by giving the key in advance and asks me to go and get fifty pound in cash, when in the website they mentioned they don't accept cash in the hotel poor management.

The room was dirty and the shets staind and they had bed bugs and whe were cover on bits .They shoud redrow from the market

The picture is shown on the website is not exactly what you get. The pictures of misguiding. The rooms are smelly. The carpets are dirty. Everything is broken. The mattress is of poor quality. You’ll find dirt everywhere and the smell is so bad it gets claustrophobic. Please don’t be miscarried by the pictures.

It was ok however, the carpet and furnitures could be changed. The bed has no head board though the staff cleans up regularly. Bathroom door should have a private locks.

The lady in reception say me to give money even I already paid first she say pay me 50 pounds then 20£ they don’t mentioned this before and then she give me the keys where and try to open room but the room key not work and then she give me another room key to check but

Nothing to like. Expedia showed me 1 price & hotel charged me extra. Too much dirty room, toilet, kitchen corridor, rude staff. Is the best horrible experience of me with Expedia😡

Horrific not even worth £5 never seen anything like it. The young man behind the desk was lovely and helped get us a night at the sister hotel lucky 8. Much better but still in no way worth what we paid. Also family friendly is a joke we were woken up by a fire alarm at 1am which was from someone else smoking in a separate building. The man that came out just said go back in its nothing, yet hadn't even found out what set it off in the first place. Drug dealers arguing outside and we heard everything. Not OK at all and requesting a full refund.

Very nice hotel next to station, all shops and restaurants are near by, transportation is very convenient.

Convenient for the price

It’s the worse place I ever see in my life . I advise people don’t go there it’s very horrible hotel , I’m sick and tired from the days I passed in that stupid hotel, and it’s not clean and it’s not confortable, it’s in very dangerous area, and I was regretted whn I became there but the problem is i couldn’t change bcz I already paid my séjour
