From the minute we arrived the staff were so welcoming & helpful. They even supplied everything you could need for the beach (1 min to beach), including Eskies, towels, sun loungers, trolley & beach chairs. The apartment had all amenities you could wish for self catering & there are plenty of restaurants & bars within easy reach. I will return, it's just a gem you love to find & return. Thankyou to Brad & the girls fabulous stay

Very clean room, super great / helpful staff, great free amenities (bikes, beach chairs, games, coolers etc). Location is perfect, right by the beach and in a quiet area. If we could give it 10 stars, we would. This was our 12th accommodation in 5 weeks and, by far, the best.

Really nice, quirky (in a good way) property. Lots of extras available in the hotel for free (chairs, towels, bikes, trolleys, umbrellas etc). Really enjoyed it and the staff were excellent. Highly recommended

Very close to the beach . This hotel is on the Main Street of by port Douglas at the beach end . The staff were helpful and excellent . In the foyer area they have beach chairs umbrellas towels and everything you need to use on the beach . The hotel also has a shower outside to wash off beach sand as well they have a well kept pool

The location was excellent! It was only like 5 yards from the ocean and the view there was incredible. The unit had a washer and dryer which was fantastic. There was tons of storage space, especially upstairs. The staff was super nice and friendly and the hotel offered bikes you could borrow, towels and beach toys, a water cooler for refilling your water bottle and an ice machine, right in the lobby! The parking is super tight so we ended up not using our car much and just walking instead. The upstairs bathroom doesn't have air conditioning so it gets warm and steamy, especially in summer. There was also construction going on behind the hotel so you couldn't really enjoy the patio/sunroom in our unit. But otherwise, the place was great and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Such a great property! Communication was great leading up to our visit. We arrived a bit later and they had our room info waiting for us with no hassle. The location is awesome…quick left gets you to the beach, quick 2 minute walk gets you to the start of the restaurants and shopping. They have beach towels, chairs, coolers, the works available no charge, and are happy to help you plan tours. The room was a nice size, air conditioning was great, and a nice sized kitchen. There’s a nice small pool, and overall vibe of the place is fantastic. Would highly recommend!

We are a family of 4, 2 kids 18 and 14. We stayed in an appointment with 2 separate bedrooms and bathrooms with all facilities you need like washing machin, tumbler, microwave, dishwasher and so on. It was very convenient. The apartment was very clean and looked new. Location was great with a few meter from the beach and at the end of the main street with all shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff helped us to arrange and book all activities before our arrival and that was really helpful. We defiantly recommend the place.

Clean and tidy. Plenty of beach stuff that can be used, towels etc. Trollies to take beach paraphernalia down to the seaside. Easy access to food shops, coffee and breakfast bars and a great selection of restaurants. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A lovely place to stay right next to 4 Mile Beach, close to shops, cafes, and restaurants! Staff extremely helpful! Room clean, modern, fully equipped, air conditioning, very comfortable. Many free amenities, bikes, beach items, movies, Netflix! Pool was very refreshing! Had a fabulous 3 days at By the Sea!

We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor which was really well equipped. It was lovely to have a coffee machine with pods! The staff are really lovely and helpful. this is our 2nd stay here. We have stayed at various places in Port Douglas, but this is by far the best in our opinion.

An amazing gem. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The ladies at reception were so cheery and friendly, greeting you every time you past and asking about your plans. They were super helpful providing information on the area and booking trips. The reception area has so many extras for your use…just help yourself to beach towels, coolers, chairs, toys, bikes, etc. Would love to come back and stay longer!

We had a 1 bedroom apartment on the 1st floor which was really well equipped. It was lovely to have a coffee machine with pods! The staff are really lovely and helpful. this is our 2nd stay here. We have stayed at various places in Port Douglas, but this is by far the best in our opinion.

Staff and Manager looked after us through out our trip. We were unfortunate with our timing as we were there when Cyclone Jasper arrived but they really looked after us and kept us informed through out. Well equipped accommodation 👍

We loved our stay. It is right near the beach. Walking distance to everything in Port Douglas. Restaurants, bars, shopping! Loved this town and sad to leave. Everyone who worked here was super friendly and helpful!
