Majestic Colonial Punta Cana - All Inclusive

Very attentive staff! Beautiful resort. Everybody speaks English. Pool and ocean everywhere. Lots of food. Definitely one of the best resorts we have stayed at.

Resort makes an effort to keep visitors entertained and there are lots of options for things to do.

What a great property! I’ve been to many all-inclusive resorts, and the majestic colonial has the best food by far. The pool is amazing, they clean the beach of seaweed every morning, the beds were comfortable, great drinks, and the massage at the Blossom spa was excellent! I would come back here in a heartbeat!!

Outside of building could use some touch up along with some upgrades inside the rooms. Outdoor lounge chairs could use some work for ground level patio rooms. A/c in our room was nice and cold. Bed and pillows comfortable for our sleep. Room was huge. Our trip to steak house was ok but waited a while for someone to come to the table. All the other restaurants we had someone quickly and very attentive at our table. We loved the resort and what made the resort was the staff. We met alot of happy faces working at this location. Fun pool games given by the resort staff. Pool was beautiful and plenty of places to swim and relax. Private beach was beautiful with alot of things to do. Plenty of bars on the resort. Maybe add a 3rd on the beach in the middle area verses having one at each end of the private beach. Plenty of shops and a store was a plus onsite. Casino onsite was ok a few games not working. All in all we would visit Majestic Colonial again for vacation.

Property and grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Room was very large and clean. Staff everywhere were friendly and welcoming. Great pool. Lots of food choices, although in some cases, quality could have been better.

Friendly, courteous staff that work so hard to provide an excellent experience. Food is decent - breakfast buffet at the beachfront restaurant is by far the best! The beach is impeccable (but the experience is negatively impacted by the people constantly trying to sell you something). My favorite part of this resort is by far the pools and gorgeous grounds. The property is maintained to exceptional standards.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana – Solid Stay, Beautiful Beach (Colonial Club) We had a great time at Majestic Colonial. The staff was generally joyful and eager to help, and the resort was clean and well maintained. The beach was absolutely stunning—yes, some seaweed, but very little once you wade in. The bar service was responsive, especially if you tipped regularly. July, the bartender from the club swim up bar was outstanding - always remembering our drink requests and more than happy to top us up before we finished our drinks. Our room had a strange layout but was comfortable. Food overall was good, and we never worried about getting sick. That said, the beachside restaurants were disappointing—poor service, rushed vibe, and tough steaks served with butter knives. Our butler was lovely but didn’t really enhance the experience. In the future, we might opt for something more modern and smaller scale, but we were happy with our stay and recommend Majestic Colonial with confidence. Rating: 4/5

The resort was really nice and offered a variety of free activities throughout the day, including theater performances, a disco, mixology classes, and more. Unfortunately, I came at a bad time of year since seaweed had taken over the beach, making it unpleasant to swim and giving off a fishy smell during the day due to the large amount of seaweed on the shore. My only complaint was that the jacuzzi in our suite seemed unused for a long time; when we tried to use it, buildup came out of the pipes, which was a big turn-off and made us not want to use it again.

The food was actually pretty good at all the restaurants. My bed was comfortable and I was able to get a good nights rest without waking up and my back hurting. I would have given a five star rating until I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and it was infested with roaches. I panicked and grabbed up all my Items on the counter and in the closet. I could not go back to sleep. That was our last night there. We had a different room before but they switched us to due to the air conditioning not working properly. Then we were switched to the roach motel. 😩

Beautiful property, fantastic staff and great restaurant choices. However they had a serious roach problem. They did exterminate while we were there, but it didn’t seem to help. I did report it to the night staff & guest service.

Hot tubs in room are filthy. Couldn’t get in to relax.

The most that I like was the pool and the bars. I didn't like the bad smell in certain areas. My room was smelly very humid and the service at my room was very poor.

The rooms desperately need a major renovation. Room looks old and unclean. Bed sheets felt damp, bed skirts had unknown stains, towels felt old an worn out and did not have the crisp white color. Coffee maker was unusable as it still had leftover coffee from a previous guest and was extremely dirty. Overall, the room was a big disappointment. Also, the food choices were terrible. The buffet food looked old and not appealing. The restaurant food was no better, it lacked freshness and taste. The property grounds were very nice but some areas need upgrading. Unfortunately, I would not recommend staying here again.

Room had multiple indications of black mold. Dehumidifier didn't have any instructions, and staff couldn't speak English. Food was consistently cold except ice cream, which had melted. Had a strong feeling that staff was negatively disposed towards Americans, although we declined any discussions about politics. Have stayed in much nicer resort complexes.

Hotel and room was clean.People working at the resort are very friendly and helpful. Food was great and so much to choose from. Deserts and ice-cream very delicious. They clean the beach sand every day or two and was always something to do like games or aerobic. We really enjoyed Caribbean music playing in diffrent locations.Night shows was great too. Great place for vacation

Everything was spotless. All staff were courteous and helpful. Our Butler Jacob was the best!

This wasn’t the best experience to be honest. The service was very inconsistent. They somehow ran out of bath mats. I have a toddler who i didn’t want to run around a wet floor from us getting out of the shower. I called the front the desk about the bath mats not being replaced, they had no idea what i was talking about. Hours later, housekeeping came and told us they just ran out of them. The air conditioning in the room was subpar. It just never felt cold in the room. I kept lowering the temperature but it never improved. I lowered it to about 65° and it was still hot in the room. The food could’ve been better. The options mostly weren’t that appealing. Mcjesitc should be more about Dominican street food instead of burgers and hotdogs. The sancocho in the Taino restaurant was really good. Danilo the chef did a really good job with his menu. Dominican night menu was also really good. I just wish the food was that consistent. The servers were nice but could’ve been better. There were times we would be seated and it would be a while before anyone would ask us what we wanted to drink. I had to tell one of them the difference between vodka and whiskey. On two separate occasions, i gave my drink order to someone and they just never came back. I’ve honestly never been frustrated before until now. The entertainment crew was fun. They had lots of energy and they work hard. The kid’s play area was nice. My son had a blast in the water. The workers there incl. Victoria were great!

There is so much food everywhere you look that finding something to eat is never an issue! As for the beds… they are hands down the most comfortable beds!

At night it was a fish house and a steak house. All three were good. Hibachi may have been the best food. Least favorite was the French restaurant. They had a VIP lounge on the ground floor of our building, and that was convenient for a quick bite during the day, or hang out and games in the evening. We are at Hibachi almost every night, and after the night club we usually went to the sports bar to have wings. The beach was beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. I don’t love the shower. The water pressure and shower mechanism could use improvement. Food availability was very good. The staff was amazing. Very friendly. Very accommodating also. The adult pools were wonderful with swim up bars and refreshing watjer. They had many outdoor showers to rinse off in. We booked a party boat, and that was enjoyable as well. Great vacation with wonderful memories !

The resort was very well maintained. Service was incredible!! There was not one staff person who didn't make you feel like family and truly accommodate you. The pool was clean well well-maintained, a few missing tiles but overall beautiful. Edwin was our butler and was truly incredible!! He made sure we understood everything and had access to all our needs! He went above and beyond to decorate our room for our 25th anniversary and checked in regularly to make sure we were good :) Leandro our bartender from pool #2 was our FAVORITE!!! He kept us laughing and kept the drinks coming!! The food was delicious as well! There was a lot of variety to choose from. We did not go hungry!! The beach......truly incredible! It was very clean and maintained. Our overall experience was 10/10 we would absolutely book again and return!

This was a very vibrant and active all inclusive resort. Most employees were super friendly and welcoming but all were at least helpful. The locations for food around the resort was reasonable as were the times food was served. There was always food available if you needed it. Bottled water was delivered to your room once a day at minimum. We had housekeeping every morning with a turn down service at night. We tipped housekeeping every day so that might have been why there was a turn down added. We never felt obligated to tip but it did seem appreciated. There was ample room to find pool chairs many places along the extensive pool. The drinks were poured “well” and the selection was great. There were definitely louder areas of the resort but several quieter/wind down places were easy to find. The rooms were so nice and spacious, the air conditioning was great. I would recommend not visiting the “street market vendors” that set up there on occasion as they are very expensive and extremely pushy. Nothing at this market was particularly unique nor traditionally handmade as I was hoping for. I would recommend this resort to my friends and family.

The staff was the best staff I’ve ever had at any resort Juan our butler was perfect always helping would go back there anytime

The room was beautiful. The staff made extra efforts to decorate the room and make returning to the room special every time. The staff was amazing. Panda and Franklin really went out of their way to make our time the most fun. They are sweet and caring and always made sure we were happy. We also had Enrique as our butler and he as well made sure everything we needed was done.

everything was excellent!! specifically the amazing staff. they made our experience amazing and treated us like royalty. Specifically Victor from the lobby, he is amazing. We will definitely be coming back!

I'm writing to share some feedback about my recent experience. I want to express my sincere appreciation for your excellent staff, especially our mayordomo. His dedication and attentiveness were truly outstanding, and we are incredibly grateful for his service. However, I must bring to your attention that the check-in process was extremely challenging. It took over three hours, which was a very frustrating start to our stay. I sincerely hope that this process can be improved to avoid similar experiences for future guests. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Room was clean, had to request face cloths and handtowels as well as toilet paper. Attention to detail seemed lacking. Rooms seem worn and need to be updated. We have been to this resort before and the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff is not nearly as good as it was. The food and the people were primary reasons for returning.

This is the worst punta cana hotel I’ve been. No electricity in the rooms, safety boxes didn’t work, hair all over and dirty floor, mold all over, broken bathroom vanity, roaches crawling in the bathroom floor, stained beds, broken locks on electrical panels around the property. Horrible food, angry behavior from the staff members and worst customer service ever. I booked 4 rooms some under my name, my son and my girlfriend and took 11 family members with me to this horrible place, we arrived at the hotel around 2pm and the rooms were ready around 4pm, no electricity in one of the rooms, only one safe box worked “very convenient” because someone stole more than $400 dollars from our room, staff always angry, unhappy and very rude ( including customer services managers), called multiple time to report the issues, we went personally to the customer service office to address the issues, manager told us to come back later because she have to leave to an appointment. This hotel wasn’t cheap, we followed the reviews online before booking, but nothing was like in the reviews. What a nightmare!!! Don’t go there. I reported all of the issues to the hotel customer service manager, their solution was to give us one different room for the one with the broken vanity and investigate the people that entered in the room where the money was stolen, on the fourth day, a manager called me to tell me that they want to check my luggage with security guard. HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!

I’m writing this review almost a year after my trip, and after visiting other all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, I’ve realized just how amazing this resort truly was. First off—it’s HUGE. There are massive pools, endless bars both on the beach and in the water, and everything is set up to make sure you really get the most out of your all-inclusive stay. Having an assigned butler was a major plus: whether it was booking excursions or dinner reservations, all I had to do was send a text and it was handled. The atmosphere was another highlight. The resort is full of lush plants, fountains, and even a beautiful little church. The nightly shows were also a standout—several felt very close to Vegas-level quality, especially the circus performance. Drinks were excellent, and the food was better than most other resorts I’ve stayed at—solid 8/10. The beach was clean and beautiful, with a coral reef just a short swim away—definitely bring a snorkel! I also liked that there was both an adults-only and a family side. Some might see that as a downside, but I enjoyed seeing kids having such a great time while still being able to enjoy the quieter adult areas. The casino was another fun feature, especially paired with the American-style sports bar right next door that stays open all night. Overall, I had a fantastic experience—10/10 would recommend and I fully plan on returning to Majestic.

Clean and good ac in room. Swim bar bartender was quite rude and was not a language barrier. I speak Spanish and English fluently. Maybe he was over whelm. He should know you work in customer services. Take a break gather your self and then come back. Also tons of seaweed. Wish expedia would have put it on the site. It was not swim able. We had to stay in the pool the whole time. Sucks bc you travel many hours only to not be able to enjoy the beach. The night shows were good and food.

Great family trip! The resort was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and attentive! I wish I knew about the algae season (May-September) though, I would have planned to travel outside of the season so the beach could be more captivating.

The staff was very friendly and the resort was super clean. The food was good and abundant. The resort was on the beach but the water and beach had a large amount of sargassum (weeds). They had a machine running constantly to help control the weeds but it did not help much. I guess the bottom line is to vacation before or after the weed phenomenon.

The food was terrible at the restaurants and buffets. Room service food was good at least. I pretty much didn’t eat all week and I think on vacation that’s not acceptable. Night one we were hurried out of the steak house. But food took forever and steak was awful. We will not be back at majestic colonial.

Everything and everyone from the minute we walkes in was a 10 out of 10. However..... As a lover of cooking and food, I unfortunately would have to give the food overall a 6 out of 10. Nothing was "terrible" but yet 90% of it was just..."ok". The food was just lacking that "somethething" that made you say "OMG, this was delicious!" For example, at times meats were over seasoned, buffet fruits were cut and served while not being ripe and i guess the best way to say it was that most things just lacked a "depth of flavor". Liquor service was excellent, but honestly I felt that the food was made in a way that "only had to be good enough" to feed people that were hungry after drinking all day, so it didn't have to be perfect. For comparison, we went out to eat one night in downtown and the food was SO good compared to yours. Again, your wasnt terrible, it was just "passable" and for an all inclusive I just expected more. *As a side note, i did not eat at any of your restaurants that needed reservations if that helps. Regardless, your hotel is an excellent one and i would always tell friends

The room was clean, it’s a nice property. The beach and pool are good too. Lunch and dinner buffet are nice, breakfast could have a little more options. We had al a carte dinner at Le Gourmet which was the best dinner we had during our stay.

Best hotel I’ve stood at in Punta Cana. Very friendly and funny staff and an abundance of activities that never keep you bored. I had a great time and will be going again hopefully!

Great overall but food quality was not that great for me

Food in the main buffett was always cool not very warm,major problem with a lot of guests I talked to.

Food was terrible. Desserts not good. Drinks have no alcohol…all sugar. More activities would be good. Beach & pool are beautiful. Very clean. Staff very nice. Food terrible. Oh I said that already.
