Stayed 1 night

A good vale. Not as close to PDX as it appears on the map (25 minute Uber ride). They had trouble checking me in late at night, but they accommodated my request to let me know the room while they sort out the technology issue. Shower was great, rooms clean. Passable workout center. Breakfast was pretty lacking, but the intent of extended stay is that you make your own I suppose. Neighborhood has lots of homeless and trash on the walk between the hotel and the light rail station, a 7 minute walk.

Stayed 4 nights

I have never stayed at this chain before and wasn't sure what to expect. Rooms have large fridges, hot plate, micro, and sink. If you need dishes they can supply. Rooms are not cleaned, only when requested. The room was clean, I was a little apprehensive about staying there because last time we stayed there ( 4 years ago) it was a different chain and security wasn't great. The car parked next to us had its windows smashed in. Security has been improved as well as fencing around the property. Stayed 4 nights, no issues. The grab and go breakfast is very sparce, coffee, a few small buns, oranges, eggs in packaging, and packaged outmeal, thats it! Very convenient to get to the race track which was our main concern. Be aware ther are many homeless in the area that we came across walking to the racetrack but no one bothered us, just very sad to see.

Stayed 2 nights

The room was very clean, we stayed for two days. The entire duration the television didn't work, we had somebody come up and she said that she fixed it but it wouldn't go beyond like two or three channels. The coffee ran out every morning well before the time. That the coffee was supposed to stay out till. I understand now why some of the people who came down to get coffee brought a thermos with them. The breakfast was very subpar I understood it was going to be mostly cold things but they didn't even have a cereal bar they have plenty of room in that area for said things but had none of it. There was a vending machine two of them, the neighborhood was very sketchy with plenty of homeless people around it was very scary leaving anything in the car at all much less just parking the car there. The beds were hard there weren't enough towels the list goes on there are so many things the floors were dirty the room was clean but the floors were dirty there's no view of anything there you're just kind of like in this parking lot. There is no pool when the vast majority of Extended Stays tend to have a pool this one does not. The hotel front desk staff person was frequently absent from their station making it very hard to go and ask for anything you needed they were also in charge of running the subpar breakfast in the morning so it was very hard to talk to somebody when needing to get a hold of anybody at the front desk whether in person or by phone call from the room.

Stayed 1 night

When we first walked into the room, we were hit by a really bad, musty, mildew odor that was the result of a turned off AC unit. The window was already left open but that didn’t do anything to aid with the stench. A first overview of the room and everything looked relatively clean for a one-night pass through the area with the exception of obvious cigarette marks on tables and chairs around the room - including certain walls. Then comes the bathroom, which carried the strongest of the odor we’d be smelling, except it also included the heaviness of past cigarette smoke. The hand towels and shower towels had clear burn mark(?) stains that were likely left over despite being washed, and there was a spider in one of the beds that was very much alive. Even by morning with the AC unit, bathroom fan, and kitchenette fan on throughout the entire night, the smell barely budged by morning. My family and I have had our fair share of questionable stays over the years, but even none of them had such a foul, offensive assault on my nose bright and early in the morning. Not even the better qualities could override the crime scene taking place in my nostril passages. Also, I wasn’t expecting to get assaulted - and losing - to the bathroom sink’s water pressure that apparently doesn’t like it when turned on too close to the maximum spray. Overall, was somewhat disappointed in my room experience contrary to what many of the reviews raved about considering all our “unique” issues.
