The Heating / Air Conditioning system in the room would only work on heat. The room was like a sauna. The only way to cool the room was to open the window, which 1) had no screen to keep out insects, and 2) allowed the street noise to enter the room. The Assistant manager at the front desk was NOT even interested in addressing the situation. Worst night I have ever spent in an otherwise nice hotel.

Vorallem die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage trug erheblich dazu bei. Das Frühstücksbuffett war ok, mit einer grossen Auswahl an Kuchen und Früchten. Vreselijk verouderde kamer hadden wij. Het hotel is totaal niet 4 sterren waardig. Behang wat half eraf was, vieze stoffige airco, zeer verouderde badkamer, kapotte tegels, lamp die flikkerde, viezige vloerbedekking. Ze waren het wel aan het renoveren (weet niet of alle kamers gerenoveerd gaan worden) en daardoor lag er ook plastic zeil in de gang en de trap naar eerste verdieping zat onder stucwerk. Het onbijt was prima, niet heel bijzonder. Ze liggen we perfect in centrum van Bologna en alles is op loopafstand te doen. Personeel was norsig en bij uitcheck zeiden we dat we de kamer niet echt geweldig vonden en verouderd was. Werd totaal niet op gereageerd en toeristenbelasting viel ook hoger uit dan Expedia aangaf, €10 meer. Kortom hotel is niet 4 sterren waardig eerder 2, de prijs te duur en volgende keer nooi meer!

The front desk staff was great! Friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast had a good selection of food including some welcome vegan options. Our room was beautiful and the MOST comfortable bed we have stayed in during the last 2 weeks & 6 hotels. The location of this hotel was the best for us to walk everywhere near the Piazza Maggiore. We had our own car and the parking garage next door was plentiful and safe 24/7. We will stay here again!!

Rude service. Room was small and very dirty and outdated. I checked in and immediately (5mins) went back down after seeing the room. Decided not to stay as there are plenty of other options abs was told they had to charge me for one night anyway as I had checked in. Paid it just to get out of there. Would highly recommend skipping this establishment.

This is not a 4 star property as the carpets are dirty, curtains torn and the bathroom facilities seem to have been installed in the 90s. The only good thing I can highlight is the quality of the breakfast.

Bästa läget i Bologna. Hotellet väldigt slitet. Fläckiga gamla heltäckningsmattor både i korridorer och i vårt rum. Badrum OK likaså frukost. Träffade annat par som bott där för 10 år sedan och att inget hade förändrats. Men som sagt läget är perfekt.

The location was very convenient and very close to the city center. The hotel itself was okay, obviously old and there were signs of disrepair throughout including peeling paint, broken cabinet door and old carpet. That said our room was still clean and comfortable if just a little musty, but we could have opened the window to fix that.

We booked 2 rooms. The worst in the hotel. 144 and 146. 144 had almost no working functions- lights, no AC, cold shower. Room 146 was positioned directly across from the cleaning rooms thus doors opening and people talking at 7:30 or earlier. The host behind the desk, older man, was not very helpful or had an “attitude”. I felt we rec’d the worst rooms in the old section of the hotel because we booked on this site. Our friends in 144 complained and were moved to the new section in a better room. We had cold water the first morning and barely warm the next 2 mornings.

The front desk staff was great! Friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast had a good selection of food including some welcome vegan options. Our room was beautiful and the MOST comfortable bed we have stayed in during the last 2 weeks & 6 hotels. The location of this hotel was the best for us to walk everywhere near the Piazza Maggiore. We had our own car and the parking garage next door was plentiful and safe 24/7. We will stay here again!!

Rude service. Room was small and very dirty and outdated. I checked in and immediately (5mins) went back down after seeing the room. Decided not to stay as there are plenty of other options abs was told they had to charge me for one night anyway as I had checked in. Paid it just to get out of there. Would highly recommend skipping this establishment.

The Heating / Air Conditioning system in the room would only work on heat. The room was like a sauna. The only way to cool the room was to open the window, which 1) had no screen to keep out insects, and 2) allowed the street noise to enter the room. The Assistant manager at the front desk was NOT even interested in addressing the situation. Worst night I have ever spent in an otherwise nice hotel.

We booked 2 rooms. The worst in the hotel. 144 and 146. 144 had almost no working functions- lights, no AC, cold shower. Room 146 was positioned directly across from the cleaning rooms thus doors opening and people talking at 7:30 or earlier. The host behind the desk, older man, was not very helpful or had an “attitude”. I felt we rec’d the worst rooms in the old section of the hotel because we booked on this site. Our friends in 144 complained and were moved to the new section in a better room. We had cold water the first morning and barely warm the next 2 mornings.

If you walk around the corner there are lots of bars and restaurants. The breakfast restaurant staff were all very helpful as my husband is coeliac and there was gluten free bread, and other breakfast carbs on the buffet in addition to a good spread for everyone else.

Vreselijk verouderde kamer hadden wij. Het hotel is totaal niet 4 sterren waardig. Behang wat half eraf was, vieze stoffige airco, zeer verouderde badkamer, kapotte tegels, lamp die flikkerde, viezige vloerbedekking. Ze waren het wel aan het renoveren (weet niet of alle kamers gerenoveerd gaan worden) en daardoor lag er ook plastic zeil in de gang en de trap naar eerste verdieping zat onder stucwerk. Het onbijt was prima, niet heel bijzonder. Ze liggen we perfect in centrum van Bologna en alles is op loopafstand te doen. Personeel was norsig en bij uitcheck zeiden we dat we de kamer niet echt geweldig vonden en verouderd was. Das Hotel liegt an einer sehr guten Lage zwischen Bahnhof und Innenstadt, direkt neben dem kleinen Venedig. Das Zimmer war sauber und hatte alles, was man braucht. Vorallem die gut funktionierende Klimaanlage trug erheblich dazu bei. Das Frühstücksbuffett war ok, mit einer grossen Auswahl an Kuchen und Früchten. Der Wunsch, kein Zimmer zur Strasse zu kriegen, wurde leider nicht erfüllt. Jedoch lag es immerhin nicht zur Haupt-, sondern zur Seitenstrasse. Kann das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

The hotel is beautiful and only about 10 min walk to Neptune's Statue. The room was spacious. Breakfast had a nice selection of 2 hot dishes, cold cuts, cheese, fruit and cakes, etc. My only complaint was that renovations in the hotel started at 7am, so it was impossible to sleep in. I would stay again but will ask which side is quieter next time.
