There was some work happening during the day at the hotel during the time of our stay, which made it a little difficult to siesta. Very quiet at night. Rooms, hallways, the staircase and the lift is very small, as common for hotels in the city centre. Stay for the location and easy access to attractions near the Barbarini metro station, but do not expect anything exceptional. Note that this may be a difficult location for anyone with mobility concerns, as the hotel has steps immediately by the entrance to the lobby and is at the top of a steep hill at a busy intersection. The rooftop dining area is nice but the outdoor area is very small and can get cramped when it is busy. There is a nice lounge in the evening that is suitable for an apertif.

Breakfast was not included with my stay and was a little pricey but well worth the cost. The rooftop bar doubles as the bar at night and it's lovely to have the view of Rome while you are eating/drinking. The hotel is right across the street from the Palazzo Barberini, an oasis in a hectic city. My room was very nice and very well laid out. I enjoyed my stay here very much

The location is fantastic and when you have a location that good, nothing else needs to be great. The rooms are fine. The service and amenities are fine. The rooftop bar situation could be amazing, it’s just fine. They should put a nice espresso/coffee machine in your room but you’ll get a cheap motel style instant coffee maker that makes cheap motel style instant coffee. It’s fine, everything is fine. If fine isn’t good enough, keep looking around.

Nice hotel, good price, and they have a roof top Restaurant with nice View,, the only thing I don’t like is before you enter the hotel there’s couple steps to climb up and the front door is very hard to open, once you went in the staff will help you bring the luggage down, and they have good breakfast too.

A little run down and the hotel had only one working elevator. The power outlets don't power well to charge a phone unless you wish to wait 11 hours. The bathroom dryer didn't work nor did the outlet support any hot tools.The patio bar is super small and limits seating to 2 per table outside which is not so convenient. The food was okay but rather small portions for the price.

Upon arrival, you must open and then close after you two sliding doors that are relatively heavy and go down stairs with luggage. Then I thought that the hot tub was an included amenity with the hotel but found that I had to make a reservation which I have never heard of but also it was not mentioned to me or written upon the website so I think they should be clearer about this. The room was a nice size but not sound proof. I could hear people in the hallway. The bathroom was nice with a half glass shower but not sure what the appeal is to leave the other half open and put a curtain. Our complimentary coffee machine was leaking. The television had very limited options. The location is relatively a 7 minute walk from Trevi Fountain and 5 minute walk from the metro which was convenient. The only thing I didn’t like was walking uphill to get there but that’s inevitably out of their control. The breakfast was good and pretty fast on the rooftop with subpar view of Rome. I liked that they freshly made your eggs and bacon then the rest was buffet style. Overall it was a very average stay and not my favorite because I had higher expectations for my stay.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Barberini. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally warm, attentive, and welcoming. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better: perfectly situated within walking distance of restaurants, charming local shops, and iconic landmarks like the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon. My room was spotless and a perfect retreat from the summer heat — the air conditioning was a lifesaver! As a woman traveling solo, I also want to highlight how safe and comfortable I felt throughout my entire stay. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would gladly return on my next visit to Rome!

Great hotel located in a very central area - short walking distance to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, as well as so many restaurants and shops. Our room was small, but perfect for 3 nights in Rome. You can also get breakfast included which is served on the top floor with a nice view overlooking the city. Our room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean. The bathroom was clean but parts of it could use an even better cleaning.

Very disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my experience to prevent other travelers from being misled by the overwhelmingly positive — and, in my view, highly questionable — reviews. There is not a single aspect of my stay that reflected the standards expected of a 4-star hotel. 1. Complete Lack of Temperature Control, Guests are not permitted to regulate the air conditioner in the room. The hotel activated the air conditioning remotely without my consent on one of the coldest mornings, when it was only 7°C outside. 2. Lukewarm Water Supply - do not expect you can have hot water for shower as the you will only get lukewarm water even you turn to the max temperature. 3. Appalling Hygiene Standards - women hair on fresh towels, visible blood stains on spare duvet (needed because the room has no heating!) 4. Unacceptable Noise and Rude, Unhelpful Staff - work outside the room at 11pm, and staff was not willing to offer any help.

Our room small but nice. Had some dust on the coffee cups, outlet in bathroom didn’t work, outlet next to one of the beds hardly worked and the blow dry you don’t turn off and on you have to hold the button down while you dry.

Loved this hotel ! The room was a little small , the view out our view was to die for felt like a true Italian waking up and opening our window to see the brick floors and the museum. It’s walkable distance to all the historical monuments , restaurants and train stations

The rooms were really small and extremely high heating . We had to pay additional amount for 2 occupant room and for that price the room didn’t feel worth it . The front desk staff were helpful and kind , they tried their best to provide us a double bed room . Appreciate it.

Really nice hotel, but A Bit aged Walls pretty thin so two nice nights in a row the party girls kept us awake Staff a bit slow in handling this and I had to insist they go to their room and shut it down at 2 am

Tiny room. View from window straight into a wall. Run-down bathroom, with some really strange fittings. No soundproofing in the doors, so waking up as soon someone was moving in the corridor. Hard bed. Very few power outlets. Plus side was central location, nice lobby, good breakfast for Italian standards and with a lovely view from the rooftop

Great location. An easy walk to Trevi and Spanish Steps. Also very close to Piazza Barberini where there is a metro station, bus stops, and hop-on-hop-off bus stop. Restaurants in the area are a bit touristy and underwhelming. The sidewalks in the area are very rundown and broken, making it even harder to walk on the cobblestones. Bring good walking shoes! I would return to this hotel.

This is a great little hotel, located perfectly in the Plazza Barberini, which is within walking distance of many of the tourist "must-sees." You can walk to Trevi, Spanish steps, Pantheon, and the hop-on-off-bus and metro are all with easy walking distances. There is also a host of shops, cafes, and side-walk dinning within a short distance.

The rooms were tiny. The TV was on the vanity and blocked the mirror instead of being attached to the wall. Very tacky. The breakfast was substandard, eventually I stopped ordering from the kitchen and only had toast. Food tasted old (e.g.,bacon) and the pastries dry and stale. Fruits were overripe to rotten. However, the kitchen staff was consistently very nice.

Extremely small room, not even space for luggage, we asked for a bigger room and cost €30 per night, the view was the air condition machinery. The restaurant service it’s amazing, the waiter super friendly, the pizza the best we had in Rome.

We loved staying here! Very close to a Metro station, Spanish Steps, Trevi and beautiful & lively evening strolling, eating and people watching. The staff were so attentive, helpful and friendly. Our room was well-appointed and stylish and the breakfast is on a lovely & scenic rooftop location with so many, high quality choices with very attentive staff. Would definitely stay here again!!
