Really well placed to explore Rome and the Vatican, and for the price I cannot complain too much about the state of the rooms - wardrobe was falling apart a bit and very annoying dripping noise coming from behind the wall where the next room's bathroom was placed. Aircon unit was also installed but turned off and clearly not to be used, which meant the window was open and all the noise from the street came in at night. However, any dissatisfaction I might have was completed negated by the strength of water pressure in the shower - never had water pressure like it! It was amazing! I think I am properly clean for the first time in my life - my kids wanted another go because they loved it! The staff were helpful and the rooftop terrace a treat to sit out at night and enjoy the evening. In short: enjoy the shower, bring earplugs

The hotel is well located (approx. 10 mins. to the Ottavanio Metro station). Approx. 5-8 min. walk to the Vatican (depending on your route, there are multiple). The hotel staff (Sabrina) was excellent. Can't say enough good things about her. She was very helpful with everything. The rooms are very small. With 4 of us, there was minimal room to open our luggage (we had small suitcases). I think it's a shame that you have to pay an extra 10 euros per night for air conditioning during the Summer. Overall, we would stay there again if there were no options.

The staff was uniformly helpful and friendly. The property lists air conditioning as an amenity, with no asterisk indicating it is an extra cost. 5 pages lower it mentions that cost, but I strongly feel it should be listed in the amenity page, just like a non-free breakfast is indicated. Rome in the summer requires AC. Elevators exist, but they stop between floors, so you have to walk up or down to get to your floor . . . with luggage.

The place was great for the money highly recommend it it wasn't a great location also. One caveat Read the fine print the place does have air conditioning but they charge 10 Euros a day. It's not a bad fee and it's not a fee that should make you change your mind this is an excellent place it is in the fine print pay attention to the fine print. Other than that I loved the place I would go back. They didn't have a refrigerator a microwave or a safe none of which are all that important but they would have been nice. So if this is something you require keep it in mind again for the price I would go back in a heartbeat it was very clean I really enjoyed the neighborhood and the staff was excellent

We stayed here a total of five nights, four while in Rome then one night after going to Venice and before heading home. It is a two-star hotel with a great location to the Vatican (eight minute walk) and restaurants. The walk to the nearest metro station was 11 minutes. It had plenty of hot water to shower but we never could figure out the heating system. It never got cold in our room but having it warmer would have been nice. The toiletries are kept to a minimum so make sure to bring your own, like soap. If you want housekeeping, you'll have to request it the day before. The hotel felt safe and the staff was friendly. One great perk was being able to store our luggage there while we went to Venice. That was extremely helpful.

Não havia limpeza nem arrumação no quarto, paredes sujas, interruptor de lâmpada reza com durex, o terraço não tinha visão nenhuma e em péssimo estado de conservação. Só tem boa localização e os recepcionistas são muito educados. O proprietário está no local na minha chegada foi muito mal educado, quando perguntei se o quarto tinha vista para o Vaticano disse que a vista era a vista, para acessar meu andar tinha que pegar o elevador e descer um lance de escada. Nunca mais volto neste hotel. Merece perder as estrelas. Nem pensão de beira de rodoviária era tão mal conservado e sujo como o este hotel. Era obrigados a tirar o lixo pois não tinha serviço de limpeza nem nos andares do hotel.

It was incredibly loud. The walls were paper thin we heard people in both rooms around us, in addition to street noise. The room itself felt sketchy. The carpet was insanely dirty. I walked bare feet around the bed and my feet were black underneath. This place had great proximity to the vatican, just 5 minutes away, with lots of restaurants, and cafes right by.

Die Lage wäre nicht schlecht, aber gerade ist Großbaustelle ums Eck. Es ist super laut sobald man das Fenster öffnet. Wir mussten das Fenster allerdings offenlassen, damit der kaum auszuhaltende Gestank nach Reinigungsmittel erträglich war. Es gab innerhalb von 6 Tagen keine Zimmerreinigung, keine neuen Handtücher aber vorallem auch keine Mülleimerleerung. Die Mitarbeitende waren freundlich, aber nicht sehr bemüht. Das Hotel insgesamt wirkt recht in die Jahre gekommen, die Zimmer müssten dringend renoviert werden. Die Dachterrasse ist nett, aber man könnte mehr drauß machen.

We chose Hotel Adriatic due to the reviews and price point. We booked the hotel for 3 nights and stayed on the 4th floor. The staff was friendly with information regarding local food and bus questions. We felt, however that the room was very mediocre for the price. Toilet seat was missing a screw (another room was suggested which we looked at but had the same issue). Door to the “balcony” and entrance door was poor quality in opening and closing. The lack of cleanliness was also obvious throughout bathroom floor shower, and walls. Hair dryer was broken (although one was then provided from front end) also electrical outlet in bathroom was lose The mattress and pillow was comfortable.

Great location - close to the Vatican. A quick walk to other great sites in Rome. The room was clean and the outdoor patio was very nice. The bathroom is a good size, but the shower is a bit small. The staff was very helpful. Would recommend, especially if visiting the Vatican.

Starting off the walls were very dirty which made it feel unclean in general. The air conditioning appeares in Expedia but it does not say in bold that you have to pay 10 euros which should be an important thing. The WiFi did not reach the room but it did work but only in the hallway . We were in the room all the way down the hall to the left and the moment we went inside the WiFi would shut off.

Our room was clean and bright with two window terraces which was quite lovely especially since the air conditioning in our room did not work. At night we had the windows open which cooled off our room. Please be advised air conditioning is an extra charge so be sure to request it when you make your reservation. I didn’t realize this until a day or two before we arrived.

Staff was helpful and flexible— we were planning to drop luggage off at the front desk in the morning of our arrival but the room was ready and they let us leave our luggage in our room. Hotel isn’t typical, you have to go upstairs in what looks like an apartment building and thru a door to get to the front desk. The room was dated but clean, the shower is tiny, no tub, some fixtures rusted or worn, and there were no nice touches or complimentary soaps/lotions, but the price was competitive for a room with three beds for 2 adults and 2 little kids on a family trip. I’m happy with our stay. Also walking distance (even when heavily burdened in the predawn dark) to the coach bus shuttle to fiumicino.

Clean room, but sleep was challenging The room was clean, which I appreciated. However, it was quite difficult to sleep at night due to significant noise coming from the street. There were only two pillows, and they seemed quite worn, making it hard to get comfortable. The photos online looked better than the reality, but overall, it was still enough for a short stay. Considering the conditions, I found it a bit expensive for what it offered.

We stayed there in 2014 and came back August 7 and 8 2023 because the location is really good. We found that it was exactly the same. Zero improvement even though it was in need 9 years ago. Wifi was like dial-up, didn't work most of the time. Whoever heard of no food or drink in your room? What's wrong with a coffee or glass of wine. Paying extra for air - what? There were no soap or shampoo. Everything was worn out. Threadbare. Bought two "large" cups of coffee at the front desk. Got two small plastic glasses with a mouthful of coffee in each. No cream or milk available. Receptionist said "sugar or nothing". Hate to see the small cup. This place should not have hotel status, at best it is a hostel.

The location of the hotel is great, you are a 5 minutes walk from the Vatican, I will say tho, the room we got stuck with came with a broken outlet, which was unfortunate. You also have to pay for the AC which I guess I get, make your money, but also, maybe just add the AC cost to the total. You can’t eat or drink in the rooms which I thought was strange. Even tho the rooms say they are sound proof, they aren’t, my neighbors were throwing up the one morning and I heard them. Other than that, it’s a good cheap spot to stay at and the location really is incredible.

Locatie is heel goed. 5 min. lopen van Vaticaan. Fijne bedden. De kamer was goed schoon. Er is veel verkeerslawaai, ook aan de achterzijde. Voor de airco moet je betalen. Douchekop en wastafelkraan is dringend aan vervanging toe.

This hotel interior isn’t the newest or nicest but the receptionist stayed an hr and half for us to check in when we had a late flight and that means a lot. She also gave great recommendations with sights and food, they have excellent service no question and should be a good spot to sleep and shower when in Rome on a budget. Also no refrigerator in rooms and eating in the rooms is against the rules.

We stayed in hotel Adriatic for four nights last month. The hotel is super close to Vatican but further from central Rome - still walkable, though. The quadruple room was tiny but functional. Air conditioner for EXTRA 10 euro - that on top of the exorbitant price of the room per night - left a sour aftertaste. No breakfast - which the staff just wave off as, oh, there's a cafe 100 meters away. Well, yes, but I also just paid hundreds of euros per night per this room. There is a grocery store even closer, which is good - not really for breakfast, but great for evening snacks. There is a big terrace on one of the floors of the building (it's like an apartment building with hotel rooms spread out among other apartments) with tables and chairs - nice to sit in the evening. Overall, not the greatest value given off-centre location and lack of breakfast and a/c.

I think the location was the best. We walked everywhere from the Vatican to the coliseum and to a coffee shop in the morning. We took the local bus from the airport and the stop was only a few blocks away.

Located close to many restaurants plus only blocks from the Vatican. Close to several bus stops and so easy to use. Front desk personnel were amazing, very helpful with restaurant suggestions and shared how walkable things are.
