The many good features of the hotel include friendly, helpful staff, a wonderful pool area, comfortable room with effective air conditioning, and a very convenient location, with train station and many good restaurants within 10 minutes’ walk. We were surprised to find that there is no restaurant for evening meals. It wasn’t a problem because there are so many nearby, but on our first night we usually go for the easy option of dining at the hotel. A couple of minor areas for improvement: we would like to have had the option of muesli and granola at breakfast, and also higher quality orange and other juices.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Antiche Mura. It’s conveniently located near the Main Street of Sorrento. It has a wonderful breakfast from 7-11am and a lovely pool and bar on the property. The service from everyone on staff was excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay at Antiche Mura. It was the perfect location, they offered valet parking and organised a Capri boat tour for us. The breakfast was immense, as were the cocktails at the pool snack bar. And the pool was perfect for lounging in and around after a busy day sightseeing. I would definitely return to Antiche Mura.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Sorrento. Walkable to the station and ferry port. Staff were all really helpful with dinner recommendations. Breakfast options amazing and eggs to order if you wanted. Lovely and clean. Great Pool and bar for poolside cocktails. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Rude front desk employee. Dirty rooms. The room floor was extremely dirty (dirtiest room we stayed in out of the 5 hotels we stayed in for our italy holiday) The older front desk staff on duty on the morning hours of Oct 30 was quite rude despite us being easy and very polite. He seemed automatically irritated with anything we inquired about. Its a Shame because EVERYONE in Sorrento was so kind and friendly, except the said front desk employee of this hotel.

The hotel location was excellent, near the train station and Piazza Tasso where we met our local tour guide. Also, close to many restaurants and shops. The breakfast was excellent - delicious food and coffee and friendly staff. The hotel has a nice boutique and historic feel and great for experiencing Italy. We would have given it a 5 stars but our room bathroom exhaust fan did not exhaust the shower steam and there was some ants on our last day there. Other than these two items I'm sure the other rooms might be better and would still recommend this hotel for location, breakfast, staff service, and hotel character.

This is a lovely hotel so long as you are not mis-fortunate enough to be placed in their 'economy rooms' on the first floor. They were quick to advise us on arrival that these rooms are 'economy rooms' and therefore don't have windows or any kind of outlook/view. They have a large mirror instead and a tilting window high up out of reach or sight. As has been the case in other reviews I've since seen, they are quick to defend this and state that this is clearly shown in the website pictures. The reality is unless you were deliberately looking for this problem you would not see it. The end result is an oppressive basement/dungeon type experience which just serves to ruin a holiday. I have no problem whatsoever whith a 'standard' or as they call it 'economy' room but this should have been stated as a clear warning to unsuspecting guests. In my view, these rooms should not be used for guests, it's just a demonstration of greed on the part of the property owner/operator. Apart from this, very nice dining room and superb breakfasts with 1st class service. Rooms and hotel in general also spotless and well cared for.

An outstanding hotel, very convenient to the main square of Sorrento and other attractions. Our room was gorgeous, beautiful decor, large and comfortable, with balconies on two sides. The breakfast buffet is amazing, with the ordinary breakfast foods as well as an incredible sweet table.a delightful place to stay in Sorrento!

The hotel was a good hotel but not really a good value. The location was great and the grounds were beautiful. The hotel is getting old. We paid for garden poolside room and we were not in the main building but we were in aback corner of the property not poolside. The mini bar fridge was broken. A lot of the switches didn’t work. Half of the rooms lights only worked from a switch by the bed. I think that’s what the broken switches were. The dresser drawer kept coming off. Not a lot of attention to detail. There was a roof top deck on the room but there were no decorations or anything just a few chairs and a side table. Service was good. Breakfast was passable.

Hotel is lovely. Staff very accommodating. Great bartender! Excellent breakfast. Beautiful garden and pool, unfortunately too cool for us to use. Lobby is beautiful, furnished in a classic Italian style. Room was very nice, spacious, clean, very good bed, decent pillows. Great bathroom! Only drawback was that we were next to elevator, and heard it running til late in evening and starting very early inthe morning. Probably avoid rooms ending in “05”.

Great location in close proximity to downtown area. Rooms were beautiful. Breakfast was outstanding - fantastic staff at breakfast. Pool area was nice to relax at at end of day. Only con was pool/bar attendant who gave us a major attitude when trying to get towels for excursion, even though we were told by front desk to pick them up there. He wouldn’t let up, embarrassing us in front of other guests. Otherwise outstanding stay!

Excellent staff. Staff made many reservations for us, private transports, private full day boat tour of Capri, and restaurant reservations. All were outstanding. We already had booked an upgraded room, so we did not need an upgrade upon arrival. Overall our experience was excellent.

Hotel Antiche Mura is a premier property in Sorrento. It is very walkable and convenient to the city center and the port. There is a passagiata just steps from the hotel. The morning breakfast was incredible each day and had changing pastries each morning.

The property at this hotel is incredible! The garden and pool surrounded by orange and lemon trees, plus the view overlooking the gorge makes the hotel a unique place to stay. Walking distance to everything, and the breakfast was excellent.
