The property appeared to have just a single elevator, and a slow one at that. In addition, the property could use more handicapped parking spaces. Otherwise, it's a very nice hotel, has a nice restaurant and a pool. It's a bit pricy, but probably worth it for the convenient location just off I-95 in Norwalk.

Parking was easy, grocery store 3/4 of a mile away. Easy drive to anywhere with Interstate 95 easy access. Restaurant and Bar on property. Close to the White Plains Airport and Bridgeport.

My draw to this location was the outdoor pool; it was great. My only issue was that the chairs were black, and it was about 100 out and touching the chair arms was dangerous. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that I asked for the bathroom hook, which was missing to be fixed, and no one ever showed up to do so. The grounds a well cared for as is the lobby. Overall, I think the price for the stay was appropriate.

Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. It’s a lovely full service Hotel, with fresh salt water pool and meeting spaces in the nicest, central, yet Victorian, neighborhood.

Stayed for 1 night in a 2-queen bedroom 1st floor. The room was fine. Cons: The bathroom smelled of old smoke and was outdated. pictures in the main area are outdated, not many accessible outlets. The TV and remote was difficult to use (no up and down features) and had no directions. Pool was a disappointment. Not only do you have to pay a fee to swim (even when paying for a room), but it was also not well maintained, was dirty and crowded all afternoon. Pros: The main area was fine, it was clean, plank flooring. Was happy that the bed and sheets were very clean, clean smelling and fresh.

They definitely have issues with cleaning the property. In the first room the beds were not fresh and trash in the bins. In the second room we found clipped fingernails on one bed.

Room had a good amount mold on the bathroom ceiling as well as in the storage cubby and the bed room walls. Was tempted to move a ceiling tile in the bathroom to see what the added drop ceiling was really hiding but was afraid of what I might find...

We only stayed here one night. We arrived late and left kind of early so didn't get to experience much the amenities.The room was Ok for a night stay. Overall is clean and the bed was comfortable. The only downsidenis that it was dated and had a musky smell. The shower curtain was stained.

My bathroom was poorly maintained-sour smelling shower curtain, poor caulking job around tub and toilet, and bathmat with huge hole in it. If this had not been pre paid, I would have gone to a different facility. Housekeeper did a nice job replacing bathmat and tidying up room.

Nice quiet room on the 3rd floor. No disturbance from the wedding at ground level. Only negative point of the stay: the Visio TV was not high def, hence looked very blurry to us. Also not a smart TV, so limited in choices for cable. Otherwise, we slept well and had a restful time.

The room was tiny with paper thin wall. We could hear every word from people walking down the hall, toilets flushing, cars starting etc. Very dated with a small GE TV that tried to brown-out every 4 seconds. No channel guide. The front desk was eventually able to find one. We would have called the front desk, but no phone, just the instructions for how to use the non-existent phone. Crazy expensive breakfast that we opted out of. We travel a lot and this is an overpriced dated facility

The AC wasn't cooling well. We set in on 65° and 3 hours later it was still registering 70°. We contacted the proper person. His bottom line was it takes a while but we could move you. By then it was 9pm and we decided to stay. The bathroom was so small I couldn't dry off after my shower without the towel hitting the toilet. Disgusting. You have to pay $8 if you want to use the pool.

The room was clean but small - especially for the per night price. The hallways were cramped and sound traveled a bit. There was one elevator, shared by staff. and it was extremely slow - stairs were not easily marked/visible. Parking was difficult, I've never stayed at a hotel that I had to search for the last remaining spot at before. If it were about 1/3 to 1/2 the price it would have been alright, but I can't see what made this hotel the price it was we paid - I've had full sized rooms with full kitchens for half the price I've paid for my stay here. That all said, it was clean and there were no bugs.

My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. That’s the best I can say. It’s terribly outdated…not a USB Port in sight. There were no instructions or channel guide for the TV. I was on the second floor and could hear everything above me and in adjoining rooms. I stayed for two nights and had one breakfast which was good and reasonably priced. If I find myself needing to stay again I will request the 3rd floor…and bring lots of chargers!

The walls were fairly thin. I heard snoring for hours, the TV at 3 in the morning, and a 5AM alarm go off in the room next to mine on the first night. The second night was quiet because there was no one in that other room.

The first floor area looks very nice, classic with dark wood. Very appealing. The desk check in person was delightful. Parking was easy. The room was very dated. It needs some upgrades in the bathroom. The air conditioning wasn't as effective as we would have liked.

Booked two queen beds. Called at 7 pm to confirm my room upon later arrival. When I arrived just before 1 am, my family of 4 were initially give 2 full beds. We went back to the lobby and then were given another 2 full beds. In the morning, they explained that it was crazy and all the 2 queen beds were booked. However, I booked the 2 queen beds 2 weeks earlier. It doesn’t make sense.

The house keeping did not I use by the do not disturb signs and walked into my room 3 times while I was in there without my permission or even giving me enough time to answer the door. One of those times, I was woken up out of my sleep. I was informed that their maid had quit 2 days prior to my initial stay when letting the front desk know. Aside from the privacy issue and disregard of boundaries by the maids service, front desk, restaurants and all other staff were extremely nice and helpful. Hopefully they get their maid situation figured out soon, because that’s the only reason why I might not recommend this place to stay. No latch locks on the doors either.

Fun New England type Inn that consistently provides great comfort and attention to detail - all offered at an affordable rate. The Norwalk Inn has been my first choice destination in lower Connecticut gor the last 13 years. The staff is great - Alfredo on check-in and Martha for F&B. Great value!

Service beyond abysmal. Failed to make up our room despite specific request to do so. Ran out of towels kleenex and trash cans overflowed. Hours of service at bars restaurants were apparently suggestions or goals. Actual hours, if any, were at hotels whim. Bar staff came in occasionally to take orders make drinks. They disappeared more often than not. None of them made particularly good drinks. Our room, 322, needed paint and lots of wall repair. All in all an unpleasant stay in mod-October 2025.

I stay at the Inn when I come visit my son who lives in Norwalk. It has become a home away from home. I appreciate the kindness of staff, the comfortable rooms, and the location is perfect! You can walk anywhere-shopping, restaurants, pharmacies.

Check in was fine. Hotel staff called during the stay indicating we were schedule to check out because we only booked a single night which was wrong and I needed to take time out of my day to get that straightened out. Day two noticed make up stains on my bedding comforter which were not mine which was a bit unsettling. I opted to just use a blanket from housekeeping. On check out morning we decided to have breakfast and it was very disappointing. Waited a good 30-40 minutes to receive cold food that actually also looked terribly unappetizing to the point that we left the hotel hungry as there was not enough time for us to wait. I would suggest advertising your corned beef hash differently because hamburger is not corned beef. All in all we would stay again as location and room were very good.

Staff was fine, cleanliness was good. Bathroom was very tiny, lacked hooks to hang things. Restaurant service was unacceptable. Waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged with the wait to be seated sign. Gave up after we were seated and left.

Everything was good except the restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, the nights we were there, they only had a couple of people working them both. Service was VERY slow. We wouldn't see our waitress for 20 minutes at a time. I don't blame her because she was running between the restaurant, bar and kitchen.

Beautiful property the pool was very nice and clean. The room was nice spacious. The hotel was quiet. However, the restaurant was nonexistent. The menu really isn’t the menu. They had a limited menu of like four items and then breakfast was over an hour waiting for the food while the food was delicious. The service was nonexistent. We waited over 20 minutes just for a glass of water.

I have used this hotel very often because it is conveniently located off Rte 95, has a very pleasant staff, rooms that are basic but clean and adequate for a night or two. Only complaint is the inconsistent quality of the breakfast. Twice it has very poor with very oily omelets and poor quality has hash brown potato square. Once there was an excellent omelet with real breakfast potatoes - all three meals were over a period of a few months.
