The carpet was damp throughout, like there was a flood or it was shampoo-ed. It made the room (#105) humid and musty. It doesn't come with a coffee maker. Small fridge, no microwave. Bed is comfortable, but the pillows are big/high, so not great to sleep on (your head will be touching your chin). EV CHARGING: (1) Tesla, (1) all others. First come, first serve.

I stayed for a quick turnaround trip and the hotel served its purpose. The water was hot, bed was adequate, and A/C worked great. No elevator to second floor rooms. It was quiet, but any outside noise came right in. You could hear normal conversation voices from the parking lot. The staff was not friendly, but transactional.

We stayed as a family. Loved the pool and the food at the cafe was delicious. Service was great, all personnel were friendly. The location is relatively quiet considering it’s near a major freeway. Conveniently located near a trolley stop (at the mall-with free parking). The dated building has some issues (door sticking in our room, damage to concrete near pool that was coned off), but the feel of the grounds reminded us of being in Hawaii, especially with the muggy weather and palm trees. The room smelled of cleaning product at first but went away fast with AC. At least we knew it was clean! Beds were okay, a little on the hard side, but the bedding was comfy. The biggest disappointment was that there’s no coffee maker in the room. A fridge but no microwave. Overall not a big problem. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

I wish the hot tub was open until 12:00 am.The gym is 4 pieces of equipment 1 does not work and none of them are connected to the cable or wifi. The Laundry is Quarters only but I spent 45 minutes trying to to connect to CSC Service Works, because the machines all have CSC service Works stickers on the front of them, however, don't waste your time. They should remove the stickers or post Quarters Only in the laundry room.

Parking is plenty but small and tight spaces. When property is full, it caused us to be trapped and couldn’t get out of the space. We had to wait until the other car decided to leave. Night front desk staff not helpful to borderline rude. Likes to make excuses about being short staffed for reasons on why our room wasn’t cleaned. Room not as ADA friendly as expected. Bathroom was a difficult set up. Also, very black drain and yellow dirty floor tile in shower floor. Our last day we woke up to ants everywhere in bathroom shower and all over sink/counter area. Room had a very slight mildew order to it. Didn’t notice it was as bad as it was until we were gone. All my stuff that was in the room smelled terrible! We will NEVER stay here again! A good deal is too good to be true.

From the pictures I thought this hotel looked very nice. But the room did not look like the pictures. The furnishings were outdated. The bed was hard. The top blanket was stained. There was still hair on the floor in the bathroom. So the cleaning wasn’t good. At 3am someone started blasting their rock music. Oh and I tried to check in early and the hotel clerk said they were running slow and there wouldn’t be early check in. So we had to wait a good 40 min to check in after driving 7 hours. You have to pay for bottled water.

Ant infestation. I have videos. They were crawling through the bathroom wallpapers and in the main room under the sink. Contacted the front desk to change rooms and was told they'd send an inspector to check out the room and either relocate us or give us a spray bottle to spray the ants. We returned to the room in the evening to find the ants still there, NO SPRAY BOTTLE, and our bedsheets removed. We returned to the front desk and asked what happened, and were told that the inspector DID NOT EVEN ENTER OUR ROOM because we weren't in the room. We were NOT informed the inspector had to have us there to inspect, nor did we have the time since we had detailed trip plans and were only sleeping in the room. Additionally, they DID NOT GIVE US OUR BEDSHEETS BACK. They said they'd give us four basic blankets to put on our bed, but only had three. We slept on a bare mattress covered by small blankets in a room infested by ants on the night of my birthday. The room also did not come with a TV remote or Do Not Disturb Sign, which I had to ask the front desk for. I will be requesting a refund.

Opened the door to the room...it smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned in over a month. Next, the carpet was filthy. I was reluctant to walk barefoot. We couldn't open the window to help air out the room. No fartfan in the bathroom. Somebody else's hair on one of the bath towels.Shower curtain wouldn't stay in the tub so a large amount of water wound up on the floor. The towel bar in the bathroom was about to fall off the wall. Large wifi antenna with a powerful blue light made it impossible to get the room dark. All in all, a miserable night with little sleep. On the positive side the furniture was nice.

For the affordable rates, I didn’t expect a five star experience, but I was happy with the stay overall. I attempted to check in after 1pm and was not allowed to. Went back around 3:15pm and was still told a room wasn’t ready. It’s ok, I know check in time was 4pm, but that’s pretty late for most people. The room was clean, the water pressure and temperature were great. The walls are extremely thin. I could hear the entire conversation of the people in the room next to me, at 4am. Again, not much can be done about that. Lastly, the sink drain didn’t work. I had to crawl underneath to lift the plug and allow water to drain. Other then that, the hotel grounds are beautiful and the stay was good.

Liked: Free parking, parking lot seemed to have ample parking, close proximity to freeway and downtown San Diego, kids were allowed at the pool but the jacuzzi was separate from pool and did not allow children (even though there were kids in there during our stay but I like the thought of it being separate and more peaceful), tropical plants/landscaping, room was spacious, fridge in room, coffee maker in room, water pressure in shower was good, quiet hotel even though it is close to the freeway. It has an eatery on site which we did not eat at, but I liked that it was an option. Could be improved: The room smelled a little musty and I noticed the paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was bubbling up and starting to peel from all the moisture, coffee maker had a lot of calcification in it so I had to run multiple cups of water through it to clean out the chunks of calcium. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again, especially for the price.

This Best Western is dated. The rooms could use a significant refresh, there was a lack of hot water and the towels need some love too. The room itself was clean and the cleaning staff were great and responsive. For the price of the room, I would like to see some deferred maintenance done. Overall the place is fine, good location but not somewhere I would seek out.

The hotel is located in Hotel circle right off the highway. Easy to get to and 10 mins to airport. WiFi was not working at all for me, showerhead was not good. Cofffee machine was broken, but hotel staff came by with a new replacement.

I liked it but there were some issues. The hot water wasn’t hot just barely warm unfortunately and then got cold in the middle of my shower which wasn’t pleasant at all. No microwave available in room. They could have at least offered free water, they had water for 3 dollars. There weren’t enough towels in the room and it was a double bed room so we kinda expected more for the cost. But the bed was comfortable and room was clean. Front desk attendant Juana was very nice and made the process to check out easy.

Liked: Easy, free parking; kids liked the pool; pretty landscaping; comfy beds. Cons: the room had a terrible moldy smell when the air conditioner was above 70 degrees, so unless ice cold it smelled moldy, stuffy and unsanitary, like the vents are not properly cleaned. Had to open the window to not feel suffocated. Also, bathroom door wouldn't shut completely, looked warped from humidity. Overall, it was convenient, but will try a different hotel in the area on our next visit.

Our stay was not all at what we expected. We had lots of issues with our neighbors being loud and obnoxious. We called the front office MULTIPLE times and nothing was done. The office said they were going to send security to resolve the issue and it was not resolved. We expected the issue to not continue into our second nights stay but unfortunately it did. The front office and security was no help AT ALL. Our neighbors also had a couple dogs that would not stop barking. They then started playing extremely loud music and it was 3am. In terms of cleanliness we rated it a 5 because we had seen a couple bugs in the restroom and in the sink.

Check in was the worst customer service ever. Request a room by the pool a week in advance was told none available. Funny how 2hrs later the manager finds one ( and ask rioms around us were vacant as well! Also held security deposit a week until we called and asked for it!!

The room was as expected for the price. Parking was convenient and overall stay was good. My only complaint is that I had to stand in a long line for nearly 45 minutes to check in at 4:10pm. Based on other reviews, it sounds like this has been going on for a while. Please improve the check in process’s and time, no one wants to wait in line for almost an hour to check in after arriving to their hotel

Gigi, the front counter assistant was absolutely disrespectful. I had to get the police involved. I will seek further legal action as threats about beating me were made in front of children. There was not a manager on call and both ladies at the front desk were absolutely clueless as to when there would be a manager available for assistance. Our reservation was canceled, this was an action that Gigi made herself according to her feelings being hurt with the very own situation she got herself into. All due to her not understanding how to de escalate a situation or doing her job properly.

The hotel is kind of dated but still in good condition. The price makes it attractive. The free parking makes it an even better option as many hotels around the area charge additional fee for parking. The hotel is within walking distance to the shopping mall with plenty of dining options. It's also within walking distance to the convention center.

The location was helpful to me for a graduation at the University of San Diego. Booked for the the reasonable prices as well as the eco friendly practices. The location worked great. I felt safe on the property campus and appreciated that they had food available on site. We had breakfast there and it was good, quick, but pricey for what we ate. We booked a couple of rooms and they were no where near each other. I think this is more a Travelocity thing that the hotel. I booked ADA rooms but they were in three different parts of the complex. Why would anyone want that? I think it's a communication issue. I did reach out to the hotel prior on more than one occasion, as recommended by Travelocity, but they never responded. The rooms were clean but a bit dated. Was there over Memorial Day weekend and found the place to be busy but friendly. I felt safe on the complex. Tough spot if you are without a car but as I mentioned there are things either on site or within walking distance if you are mobile. The staff was willing to work with me and Travelocity when we had an issues with one of the rooms. Staff was very friendly.

Nothing more to say it was overall excellent experience from staff to the room to check out also easy so nice beautiful grounds great swimming pools, small bar and premises bartender a wonderful lady the restaurant very good little pricey, but it was really worth it and the waiters there no their stuff Great presentation of the food on plates. Oh no all an excellent experience. I recommend this hotel to anybody and it’s very family oriented. Too great place for the kids playing this pool easy parking very clean rooms. Very excellent hotel staff and service just 100% overall good experience and I normally don’t get those but this one turned out to be one of the best I’ve had in several years highly recommend this hotel anybody Hotel access to freeways shopping centers. It’s all there. You can’t go anything better than that. SeaWorld zoo downtown was wonderful. Yeah definitely rent this room.

Expensive for a normal one-night, side-of-the-freeway motel. Kind of worn down... very strong deodorant/cleaning fluid smell that forced us to open a window; 1 qt bottles of Aquafina water in the room for $3.50; in the morning, no coffee maker and no coffee in the lobby. Front desk was friendly and helpful. We slept okay and left early.

A cafe onsite served breakfast and dinner only. Food was so so. When I sat at the bar the service was quick, but today when I sat on the patio, the waiter was slow to bring a menu, to bring beverages, and my waffle was cold as well. The waiter charged me for the bottomless coffee when I asked for A cup. He refused to change my bill. Offered a coffee to go, I declined as I only drink 1coffee a day. He got a small tip only. The positives are the landscaping which has many flowers and tropical trees and bushes. It’s all well maintained. Room service was impeccable. It seems that many people have permanent residence or long term residence in the motel. Many sat outside their doors talking and I noticed them watching me. Felt a bit unsafe. Also on my two walks I noted several homeless folks lurking under the over passes near the hotel. I would return as the pool and hot tubs were in a nice setting and the room was well maintained. Also, the bed was comfortable. Ice and vending machines were close to my room.
