Stayed here for a ski trip with family. It worked for us as it had the amenities we needed but it is far from a great resort experience. Very dated and in need of some upkeep. But it was quite a bit cheaper than other places so maybe you get what you pay for. If you are just looking for a place to crash this is your place. Shuttle was reliable

Overall the stay was okay but……. Receptionist mumbled and was difficult to understand. Went to make a coffee and there was a chunk missing from the glass pot. Hot tub jets did not work - so looking forward to it. No separate cubicles in the cubicles - anyone going to the toilet could see everything. Slippery floors in changing room. Whilst we knew there was a resort fee to pay we feel the items covered she’d be included ie Wi-Fi, car park etc.

Close to town, shuttle service to mountain was very good, plenty of seating areas around to building, pool, hot tub, and workout room were very good. Only downside is that there is no restaurant on the premises, but nearby options are many.

The location was amazing. In between downtown and the ski mountain. But the rooms were dingy and many things were broken. Old carpet in the rooms and the shower water temp could never be regulated. It went from hot to cold and was never consistent. The sauna, ice machine on our floor, and some gym equipment were broke for the entire week we were there. The pool was closed as well but not sure of the reason.

Excellent shuttle service to Steamboat Springs skiing. We had a studio with use of a nice limited kitchen and small dining table. The room was rather shabby but very clean and comfortable.

Good location in that you have a free shuttle to anywhere during your stay, and close enough to get to base in 5 minutes. Close to grocery and a 24 hr gas station. Sad that the place is so run down and not kept up with. The pool and hot tubs were great but the game room was very bad. My kids didn’t even want to play in it. The hotel room was spacious but nearly everything was run down. Old dirty silverware in the kitchen, drawers & cabinets that don’t shut throughout. The shampoo/soap dispensers were either empty or broken. But they made up for a lot of things in other ways and I’d stay again especially if it was on the cheaper side. Allowing pets and a larger fridge, and oven/stove is a huge plus.

The first clue was when we turned off the highway onto the road leading to the place: full of potholes, clearly poorly maintained. The place itself is straight out of the 60's, and it appears to not have been updated or well maintained in the intervening years. Cracked/pitted concrete sidewalks, entryway tiles worn clear through, worn & stained carpet, etc. The room itself was clean, but clearly was almost entirely "legacy", i.e. 1960's original, other than the bathroom fixtures and perhaps the stove. Baseboard trim swollen & chipped from years of wet mopping, edges of tables scratched & dented from years of use, etc. Combination heating/cooling unit put out an odor that smelled like it hadn't been cleaned out in a very long time. The staff were very friendly & helpful - too bad they are working in a place that doesn't measure up to their level.

It was a horrible experience. The carpets are dirty. My clean towel had brown marks all over it. The drive is horrible and can damage smaller vehicles. The water pressure and shower curtain suck. I will never go back.

The hotel looked like it had seen better days - carpets were old and worn out. The room was comfortable and clean and had a lovely view of the mountains. It was nice and quiet and the staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to see the fire pit lit in the evening

It’s a really dated hotel, the carpet stains your feet and smells horrible. Had to request they re clean the room as it smelled like dog pee. Horrible showers, no water pressure, and the beds are as if you are laying on cardboard. The tv reception also didn’t work. All in all it was just very dated, in desperate need for an upgrade.

The property is incredibly uncared for. Massive pot holes, just to drive to the hotel. Everywhere, all over the long road in. Massive, huge potholes. The building is an isor, and needs updating. 1990s decor, NO WIFI, which is strange for a $$ night hotel. Had a apartment feel, but you can really tell the owners just do not care about this property, and it's such a shame! It's in a great location with big rooms and the inside hotel okay. Just total lack of care, updating, or anything for the property. It has a lot of potential. The HVAC was not good, cracks around doors, filthy carpet stains, smells.

The look of the place was a little less than what we had hoped for. It was quite weathered in some aspects but ok in others. The issue we mainly had was house cleaning never showed up to tidy up from day to day. Then when my Girlfriend called to inquire about when the my come they told us it should be every day. We informed them this hadn’t happened they apologized but did not send anyone up to replace towels or linens or remove trash. So I had to make a stops to the front desk and tell the desk attendant in person. Someone showed up about an hour and half later. It was close to 8pm and we were leaving the next morning.

This property is extremely dated and in need of repairs, and updates. Our room was clean but also in rough shape. Chipped paint, scratched floors, and banged up walls. The shower had very little water pressure.

Hotel staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean. We appreciated the free laundry room as well as the pool and hot tub and lawn games though we did not use those. The beds however were so uncomfortable. I do not have a bad back and upon waking my low back and neck have been very jacked up. We did not use the kitchen as we were there only for 1 night so I cannot comment on that aspect. The only positive rating of this review goes to the hotel staff for customer service and attention to detail with cleaning the hotel. Please get new mattresses.

This place provided the worst Customer Service I have ever had. Made an online reservation only to have my confirmation come out incorrectly and show the wrong date. I made it 15 minutes before arriving to check in. They refuse to fix the error and told me they would be happy to make another reservation, but would not change my original reservation that came up incorrectly and I would have to pay for both nights. The manager noted they were having similar issues for the last couple of days that she said likely was caused by the Microsoft Global update fiasco. I didn’t want a refund, I just wanted the errant date changed so I could check in after a very long drive. They refused to do anything to help a paying customer who will never use their services again and will likely have to dispute the charges and/or cancel the CC because I am not going to pay for services I did not receive.

No one there to past midnight to meet you . The lobby door was closed and locked, had to pick up a phone at entry area phone didn't work so couldn't get help to get my key to the room, I called with my phone then lock box to get my key didn't work couldn't get it open had to wait a very long time for security to come help open box to get my key then he couldn't get phone to work or box open to get key , he finally opened it but it took almost 2 hours to get to our room. Our room smelled terrible very musty, stairs to go to bedroom very narrow with no safety hand rail very difficult and dangerous!! Called to switch rooms, same situation with new room even worse fridge made a loud noise all night long . I only had 2 hours of sleep.

The stay was comfortable at Legacy. The staff was kind and accommodating. It was a slower weekend, so they were able to help us with early check in. The room was nice with plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. We ended up leaving our pillows there and they had collected them, placed them in a bag and we were able to pick them up later! Very kind staff.

The property is super close to the central area of Steamboat Springs which was great. There isn't a traffic light at the property entrance/exit which can make turning a little tricky. The decor and finishes are pretty dated, although we didn't mind as we were pretty much just sleeping there and spending days out and about. There wasn't any handsoap in our bathroom which was odd.

I’ve stayed at this property a few times now and in different types of rooms, and I absolutely love it! The location is unbeatable: just minutes from town, great restaurants, and the river. Every room has beautiful mountain views, and the entire place is both family- and dog-friendly, which is a huge plus. The rooms are well-equipped, and the kitchens have everything you might need. The front desk and all the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. (They made a beautiful B-day Surprise for my Auntie!) I’d definitely recommend it—and I can’t wait to come back!

The main entrance had potholes big enough to drop in to the axle. Very scary. We found an alternate route though a neighborhood behind the property and used that the rest of our stay. The suite was two story and would have been a problem for a handicap guest. They would have had to use the couch fold out. Otherwise the suite was wonderful and had 2 full baths.

Overall stay was very positive. Staff was excellent (kudos to David at reception). Rooms were very well sized. Property as a whole is very outdated. Stove and oven were so old that they weren’t useable. Pool hot tub area on the older side as well. Awesome location especially with the shuttle service. Shuttle was very easy to use and was especially attentive at night for going into town.

This property is not fancy! It is really old! But it was clean, had a decent common area, pool and hot tub area. Location is great and the shuttle was super helpful. Steamboat is expensive and this place is affordable, so Keep that in mind when booking, you are getting very basic accommodations with thin walls and a major need of renovation. Staff was nice and having a fridge and microwave and plates and silverware in the room allowed us to have smaller meals without going out. Location is also good. 8 min from base of the mountain and 5 min from downtown. We are a family of 4 with two kids ages 10/12 and a couple of nights there was fine for us for.

Everything we need is in this room. Nice table to sit at to play our game of gin rummy and have our happy hour. Great coffee pot and coffee. Really comfortable bed. Very quiet. Glasses, dishes, silverwear, microwave all included.

I love Steamboat Springs! I stayed two nights at Legacy Vacation Resorts, Steamboat Hilltop, and it was a great experience. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had excellent amenities. The view from the resort was absolutely amazing. The lobby was very welcoming, with a convenient grab-and-go breakfast in the morning. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and hot tub, as well as the well-equipped fitness center. Parking was easy, and overall the stay was smooth and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this resort for anyone visiting Steamboat Springs.

Entrance road. Unit very comfortable, nice to have two baths. convenient laundry (nice not to have to use quarters or credit card). Good grab and go breakfast. entrance road horribly broken up, in desperate need of resurfacing.
