I was so disappointed not to be able to get to the beach at 6:34 AM to watch the sunrise on the beach. Gate locked I understand from 11 PM to six, but that was my main goal why I chose you.

Every time we left our room we had to go back to the front desk because the door wouldn't open so finally the 3rd time maintenance came and changed the lock. The elevators are slow and smoldering hot as there is no fan or ventilation. The hallways are HOT as again no air conditioning. There were tiny ants crawling all over the bathroom vanity and sand on the floor.

Parking was horrible- not enough spaces. They need to open the parking garage across the road for overflow. Guest or staff could not find a spot. It was Jeep week, so more large vehicles. Pool area was great. Views from room were fantastic. Breakfast was not as complete as most Best Western properties. I'm a diamond select member so have stayed in many.and this one was about a 6. They need to fix their elevators. One had a very loud noise always - like a broken fan sound.

Overall, this property is acceptable. It is dated, a bit dingy, and in need of upkeep or renovation. The parking lot is tiny and very tight. The hallways are a bit sketchy, at best, and the rooms are average. During our stay, the pool was closed. It does have direct beach access. Which is nice. This would be an economical choice and I am glad we were only there for 1 night. They do have breakfast, which was satisfactory, but nice for the price and sort of made up for the lackluster.

I stayed at this hotel for the Fourth of July. I had a room with a kitchen that has zero counter space – no silverware except two butter knives there were only 2 cups two bowls and two spatulas one frying pan and one pot not stocked very well at all, the kitchen sink and bathtub was constantly backed up, which they gave us a plunger, which did not work. The water pressure in the shower will not rinse the shampoo out of your hair. we had to pay eight dollars per day for parking which wasn’t so bad but we had a second vehicle and we had to park three blocks away at $25 per day which I got stuck paying $75 for three days😡 The number one thing that pissed me off and everyone else I spoke to there is that they lock the pool gate between nine and 10 o’clock at night (even on the Fourth of July) so if you’re on the beach at night, you will be locked out and there is no other way to get back into the hotel. We had to walk three blocks up for a beach access road to get back to the hotel – THAT’S RIDICULOUS!!!!! I have stayed at many hotels on Daytona and this has never happened. I will not come back to this hotel. The only positive thing that this hotel has is a great breakfast. They have many options.

Pros- Stunning view Direct access to beach (Gates locked at sunset) Close to shopping and restaurants Cons- No hot tub $8 a day parking fee (Should be added into cost of room) Bed was uncomfortable Water pressure in shower was non existent Had cockroaches on balcony. Carpet in hallway was soaking wet. Do not recommend staying for cost.

The pool was out of order. The staff said it would be fixed by Saturday, June 28. It was not fixed when we left on June 29. It was an inconvenience to walk down the street to use another hotel's pool.

Location was good. Was not the cleanest. I seen a roach in the bathroom. Location was perfect. Housekeeping did come in daily and did change sheets and make bed and swept floors which made it nice. Last minute booking.

The Oceans front view is beautiful, the big concern is the Dirty place, the carpet soooo dirty, the bathroom Broken tiles. The pool was not clean at all! I wouldn’t go to this place. We did canceled our 2nd night at this hotel because it was dirty.

The rooms were great. They were clean, modern, and had nice amenities. The view of the pool & Ocean were awesome as well as being close to everything we wanted to do. They even have a nice breakfast area in the mornings with almost everything you can think of as a complimentary benefit.

Floor/Carpet is filthy. Gave us black feet. Bed has brown spots on the bed cover. Service for extra towels, front desk said they would have some for us , just throw outside the door what has been used. 2hrs later, we had to hunt someone down cleaning the rooms. They were never notified about the need for towels. Parking is horrible. Blocking people in and front desk acting like they were not going to do anything unless you knew you were about to leave for sure. Beds are uncomfortable. Owner needs to buy better mattresses. Those cheap beds can hurt someone's back. Elevator broke. Glad you had an extra. Breakfast, scrambled eggs were sitting in water. Almost like a badly made egg soup. The rest was fine. As a former hotel manager, these come easy for me to see. I want the best for this place. Just this little bit of updates can go a long way.

There were some cockroaches in the bathroom. The balcony was pretty ugly, so it needs to be refreshed. The extractor hood above the stove never worked. The cutlery was dirty. Some parts of the fridge were broken. The carpet on the floor is a total no-no to me for hygiene reasons. The most disgusting - the towels. I had to have my towels re changed almost every day. How can they provide your guests with dirty towels? One elevator out of two was functional only once during my 10-day stay. The second was out of service most of the time. And I was on the 4th floor. I felt bad for those old people who could barely walk. Some people even got stuck in an elevator.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. We loved all the storage the room has. Breakfast was very good with many options. What we loved the most was the staff . Tina ( Breakfast) , Terri ( Front Desk ) , Rashad ( Front Desk ) and Ward . They are truly amazing and I hope BW knows how luck they are to have you all . They made us feel like family. They always had a smile on their face and were always helpful. These 4 staff members had an amazing impact on us . We hope to see you 4 next year .

Fabulous room and balcony overlooking the ocean. Weather wasn't great and the normally big beach had disappeared due to a weather phenomenon that was happening but the noise from the ocean was amazing! Can't fault anything here apart from other people allowing their doors to bang shut! Will visit here again as rooms were very spacious and welcoming.

Location was great, pool was nice, beach view was worth extra, parking was plentiful. Only things I didn\'t "like" was the low flow shower and the patio door was very difficult to slide open and close. Otherwise, we will definitely staying here again... Get the ocean view room.

This was a classic old-style beach-front hotel that appeared to be under new management and has gone through an extensive renovation that was done fairly well. This was a suite that included a separate bedroom and a kitchenette with full-size refrigerator, which provided plenty of room. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well, free breakfast was okay, microwave has minimal power, there was a minimum of dinnerware, silverware and cookware, which made some food preparation challenging. Good location, good beach access, simple but nice pool area, staff was very friendly. Summary, some pros & cons, but an excellent value for a oceanfront one-bedroom. We enjoyed ourselves and plan on returning at some point in time.

Ridiculously noisy people . Staff was nice and let us switch rooms but unfortunately didn’t help for long as people are still yelling up and down the hallways at 10 pm and the walls are thin as paper. Will definitely not stay here again .

The property is not bad, it’s alright. It’s nice that it’s right by the beach. You can’t use their phone if you need assistance, no such thing as front desk or housekeeping. When we check out at dawn, the lady working just asked if we were checking out but did not let us in. She took our names and closed the door. We stood outside waiting. She came back and gave our receipt outside of the door. Weirdest check-out ever.

Online checkin was a breeze, and I was even able to inform the front desk via text that we’d be later than anticipated. The front desk clerk was super friendly, kind and helpful. Nice clean, updated rooms, comfortable beds, great amenities-def would stay again!

Place is pretty decent. And pretty clean. Staff was ok when you see them. I just don’t like the lady that did the check out. I guess I was a bother cause she had to pause her face time and gave me a dirty look. Sorry but that’s your job and if you had no customers you wouldn’t have a dam job so suck it up.

We have stayed here the past few years. I travel with both of my service dogs and have received nothing but the utmost respect from the staff here. It’s rare to find hotel staff who know the laws and treat you like any other patron. The rooms are always clean. Breakfast is fabulous. My kiddo loves the pancake maker! We always get a room with a kitchenette and love the access to the full size refrigerator and stove top! The pool is very well kept and the poolside restroom is super clean, which is hard to find! I love pulling into the parking lot and seeing familiar faces to begin our vacation each year. You guys are amazing and we can’t wait to be back year after year!

We had a pleasant stay for one night, and we truly appreciated the beautiful oceanfront balcony that offered stunning views of the sunrise and the ocean. The staff were incredibly friendly to assist us, when we needed. It was also lovely to have the pier and boardwalk within walking distance, adding to our enjoyment. Although the complimentary breakfast was nice, we felt it could use a bit more variety. Overall, we would recommend this hotel for at least a night, as it provided a comforting and enjoyable getaway.

The Pool was shut down, did have the use of a pool 1/4 mile away. Kinda inconvenient. Area around hotel is under construction nothing really happening just all torn up roads and building lots.

We stayed at tropical winds hotel last year and just wanted to try something different this year! Was not a good idea. The hallways were hot, elevator was even hotter and the breakfast area was not even worth going into. The breakfast lady was extremely rude and even said “these eggs are kinda hot, here ya go” we didn’t get a housekeeper come by the room once. We had to go down and get our own toilet paper, towels or ANYTHING else we needed. We complained to the front desk and still the housekeeper never came by. The breakfast lady demanded to see my room key for the hotel breakfast.. which was weird because the first two days she didn’t do this. I walked into breakfast with her immediately pointing at me and she walked over and demanded my room key, so I showed it to her and she said she was just doing her job with a huge smile on her face and I just said forget it and left and didn’t return to the breakfast once. It is not worth it. The juice is some cheap half water and half concentrate stuff, the meat they service daily is dry, the eggs are too wet.. breakfast is from 7-10 but the first 3 days they ran out of bagels in the first hour. It’s one of the only edible things. The breakfast lady said “too bad we’re out of bagels for the day, sorry”. Absolutely horrible. I’m hoping this review reaches the right people and you get your stuff together because as of now you aren’t worth $500 a week for an ocean front room LOL will be going back to the tropical winds next year!!

We enjoyed our weekend stay! The view was nice and the pool was great! The room was comfortable and the bathroom nicely remodeled. Only complaint about the room is the sticky carpet. The front desk staff was pleasant and allowed us a late check out and to hang around the property after check out. The breakfast room was small and stuffy, breakfast was a little disappointing.

Our stay was ok. Paid for a king bed, oceanfront room with a balcony which we couldn’t enjoy. Every time we opened our balcony door there was a horrible, overwhelming smell of marijuana. Breakfast Saturday morning was great. However, Sunday morning there was hardly anything to eat, no fruit, eggs, or, muffins, there were a couple packs of oats, and cereal, and about six pieces of white bread. Items were not replaced once they were all gone. The bed was hard and not comfortable at all. It is a spacious room.

Rates were very reasonable compared to surrounding properties. It’s less crowded on this part of the beach compared to where the resorts are, which is very nice! Breakfast was a good variety and rooms were clean.
