Breakfast was ok. The staff was overwhelmed and the waitress couldn’t hide her annoyance when asked for items. The fire-pit was nice. We were enjoying it but the maintenance person came around and shut it off without a word which was a little off putting. Emily at check in was great.

Stayed 3 nights. Staff was great. Pool , restaurant , indoor & outdoor bar , fire pits , outdoor space was all fantastic. Directly on the beach. Very convenient. Walk to neighboring bars & restaurants.

Best location, great pool. Friendly staff, nice rooms, great bed and bedding, clean room and bright clean bathroom with a great shower. The beach is not handicap accessible from the hotel. Parking not so hot but we didn't have a car. They could use a LOT more umbrellas, there are only 5 and none for the loungers. Luckily it was very slow for our mid-week, pre-season stay.

VERY Limited parking on site. there is additional parking however you have to cross a busy road to walk back to the hotel. Also one booking make sure if you are looking for a room with a balcony that it states it on that particular room. I book my room and it stated it was Ocean view. However, my room was no balcony, my view was actually the top of the building, concrete and the ocean view was not what I think people are expecting. I spoke to someone after I checked in and asked if I could switch my room because I was booking a room with a balcony and they advised me there were no more rooms. However, when I went online, I would have been able to book a room. I have stayed at this location before and liked it. I booked again thinking the same amenities were there however they weren’t. There was no kiddie pool for toddlers like there was previously.

Negatives: Property is going through a MAJOR renovation. Elevators are shared by guests & construction workers / materials. Parking is located across the street due to construction, but they still charge for parking! Positives: The staff was wonderful! The restaurant food was outstanding. Great views & overall nice property with a great location. Renovated room was very nice.

Our original room smelled and we were given a different room. Dirty sheets and towels remained in the hallway outside rooms overnight and into the morning. Not enough pool towels available. Pool tile had a dirty scum line. Beds were comfortable and A//C was cold. Lobby was clean. Won’t be rebooking in future.

Condition of room was fair to poor, had to kill a cockroach in bathroom. lots of dirt and or mold around moldings. Patio door was very difficult to open as well as the shower door. Bedspread has brown stain on it...and there was something stuck to the back of the TV remote!

Hotel did not honor the room we booked via Expedia, smelled of urine and marijuana, and was not clean. When entering the room we were greeted with a dirty bar of soap in the shower, sticky countertops, drink spills left on the floors, and hairs in the room. Repair work on the room was very shotty at best with outlet covers not flush with the walls, and visible damage that they attempted to cover up with a poor caulking job. That being said the front desk staff was very nice and apologetic and tried to get us a new room but they were booked up.

We weren’t able to check in until 2 hrs after the check in time as the room wasn’t ready. Then we were told our cc didn’t go through so a friend had to use hers. My cc went through the next day just fine. Our room was deplorable. Floors and surfaces visible dirty and gross stains on the bedsheets. To top it off they changed the nightly to over 100$ higher. I called the hotel and was told it wasn’t possible to change the rate. So I disputed the charge w the hotel and contacted hotels.com. Fortunately the GM replied and refunded the rate change. I’m not sure I’d stay here again. Disappointing

I killed at LEAST 3 roaches in my room!The staff/housekeepers were extremely loud in the morning as if guests weren’t in their rooms sleeping.I could literally hear their entire conversations,accents & all.ALL the ice machines were broken.It was the worst hotel experience I ever had.I will not be goin back & I most certainly do bot reccomend it.

Don’t let the lobby fool you! This property is not one filthy, but the lack of skilled maintenance work oozes from every corner of this facility. Terrible paint jobs, awful patches in the mud work on the walls, mold on the ceiling, picture frame, and door jam. Area by the elevators full of mold and water damage. We had a balcony in our room that was COVERED in pigeon poop. Oh, let’s not forget the AC leaking all over the living room floor and balcony. I can not say enough bad things about this place

Beautiful room 6 th floor. Ocean view, large with a seating area and desk. Loved our room, good location and steps down to beach from lovely pool. Good restaurant on property with reasonable prices. Great staff. Terry and Emily, Susan, Cheyenne very welcoming. Great service.

Our room was big with a living room area and the bedroom was oceanfront. The hotel was very nice in the lobby and breakfast was good. They had a great gym and the pool area is huge with fire pits and access to the beach.

The stay was good but the restaurant needs help the ocean view was obstructed by the palm trees (not a big deal) and work should not start until at least 10am not 8am some people like to sleep in.

We stayed in an oceanfront room without a balcony. The air conditioning unit was directly under the window. The curtains did not close over the window. There was a sheer curtain but it did nothing to block the morning sun so we were up daily at 6:30 a.m. The bar/restaurant staff were very welcoming and nice.

Overall, staying at Holiday Inn & Suites Daytona Beach was not a good experience. The hotel looks nice from the outside, and the lobby makes it feel like an updated hotel, but the moment you step outside the elevator to get to your room, it becomes clear that the hotel is old and run-down. It doesn't look like a hotel where you would like your family to stay. The carpets need to be cleaned; the door looks old and dirty. The floors have a smell of disinfectant. The carpet in the rooms is in better condition, but I could see things need replacements like the flush handle was broken, the heater had a burning smell (way more than what you usually have when you turn on a heater after a long time). That gave me a headache, and I couldn't sleep for many hours. The bed and pillow were just ok. You can hear the adjacent room load clearly, and the sliding door to the balcony needs a better fit to prevent the ocean air from coming in. The hotel is next to Hard Rock Hotel; they had a concert that went on till 11:30 every night. We could hear the music loud and clear, like they were playing in the room, and there was no insulation in the walls or the door to reduce that. I understand that blocking the music and sounds 100% is impossible, but closing the balcony door should have allowed us to sleep well. Don't eat at the hotel. The food is tasteless and not worth the money. The hotel is right on the beach and has a swimming pool - the same as most hotels in that area.

When confronted with a situation regarding my stay I was hung up on by the receptionist and when the receptionist at Expedia attempted to rectify the situation she was also hung up on. Very rude and unprofessional .

We hadn't checked out yet it was around 9:30 am we went to the store. Some of our luggage was still in the room. Housekeeping went in our room threw out our food we had packed up to take home and started cleaning as if we had checked out. The front desk associate even the manager said threw would give us some kind of refund they have done nothing and it has been a couple of months. They could have at the very least replaced our food!! They just lied to our face!! I will never go back there!!

My first impression wasn’t great — the check-in process at the front desk was slow, and I didn’t like the extra charge for parking. It’s nice that they have laundry facilities, but you need quarters to use the washer and dryer, so I had to run around trying to get change. The room was clean, but the soundproofing was very poor. There were loud neighbors yelling at their kids, which was really disturbing. The breakfast, however, was tasty and the service was great.

We weren’t able to check in until 2 hrs after the check in time as the room wasn’t ready. Then we were told our cc didn’t go through so a friend had to use hers. My cc went through the next day just fine. Our room was deplorable. Floors and surfaces visible dirty and gross stains on the bedsheets. To top it off they changed the nightly to over 100$ higher. I called the hotel and was told it wasn’t possible to change the rate. So I disputed the charge w the hotel and contacted hotels.com. Fortunately the GM replied and refunded the rate change. I’m not sure I’d stay here again. Disappointing

My husband and I enjoyed our stay, the room was nice and clean, the staff was amazing when we checked in, they were very helpful. The AGM Chris and Front desk supervisor Laurie went above and beyond to make we left happy and satisfied. We will be returning to the when we return to the area. Thank you for great hospitality.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a suite during bike week and we were happy with our stay here. The hotel restaurant and bar were good and the room was nice with an ocean view. We were pleasantly surprised to find someone had come in our room and re-stocked towels and made the bed while we were in the hotel restaurant eating breakfast. I would stay here again.

It was a very disappointing experience. The room was musty and smelled moldy. There was no coffee in the room as promised on the Internet. I went downstairs to ask for coffee, and there was nobody at the front Desk the gentleman was outside, smoking a cigarette. I was given an attitude I checked out the next morning because it was my birthday, and the last thing I wanted was to stay in a place like this thank you for refunding me my money I went to the Nautilus Inn -Daytons a few miles down the road, and had an excellent experience for less money. I was able to get an ocean front room with a balcony, an excellent service and beautifully renovated hotel and well appointed lobby/lounge area

Probably the worst experience I’ve had in a hotel. We had a issue Friday at our resort so I called and asked about adding another night. I was told they were booked full and to just come the next morning and see about checking in early as we were coming from Orlando. Which it’s a race weekend I get it not a problem. We show up at 11:47 and come in the lady at the front desk asked how she could help I told her we were looking to check in. She did not look at her computer to see if anything was available she simply stated “it’s 11:47 check in time isn’t until 4pm we’re fully booked and check out is at 11am” I said okay so we have to wait til 4? The person I spoke to last night said we could check to see if anything is available by stopping in. She said we could call and check we rode around for 2 hours and came back the same lady that helped us before did not acknowledge us another young lady tried helping us and we got the key to room 409. We get into the room and it’s not a balcony/ oceanfront as we booked for when we booked july 2nd. I go back down to the front desk and the same young lady that gave us the room tells us that the room had been switched twice (to accommodate others I assume) or they simply overbooked and we got pushed to the side. I wouldn’t have booked an oceanfront/ balcony room if I wanted a basic room with a street view. I was not even notified by holiday inn they were changing it. Being by the street it was very noisy at night.

This property was really clean and the staff was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends. Only down side was that after dark even though it was a short distance from the boardwalk and shopping center it didn’t feel too safe.

Great location, next door to Hard Rock! Went during the week so everything was pretty quiet and relaxing! Bar and grill on site, food was ok and drinks good and reasonably priced. Walking distance to Oyster Pub and “clubs” and not too far from boardwalk. Rooms recently renovated and very comfortable for a quick stay!

Front desk staff & mgmt= A in customer service, helpful & made me feel like a valued customer. Excellent hospitality!! Food in the on site cafe wasn’t great, wouldn’t recommend. Our room was nice & spacious and seemed more updated than the rest of the property but the bathroom was not cleaned properly- floor was dirty & hair everywhere. Otherwise it was very nice. It had a great ocean view but the balcony was really dirty and run down. Needed a very deep clean and update. The hallways need updating and so do the elevators. The nice hotel room & excellent team at the front desk made it a very nice stay. Daytona Beach area around the pier was very run down and not a desirable part of town so we are much happier we stayed far away from there. Thank you to Theresa, Tim & all front desk for the great service!

This appears to be an older hotel. Front desk folks were quick and personable. The room was spacious and comfortable, but wall patches were evident. Bathroom was clean. Parking at the hotel is a challenge depending on the time you return. There is overflow across the street but no crosswalk nearby, so you watch traffic closely crossing A1A. Has an outdoor bar and restaurant (I did not use).

My breakfast experience was extraordinary! The server was terrific anf the food was freshly made to order. Well worth the $10 upcharge I paid for my wife and I. The beach was terrific and I appreciated the overall service experience.

This was our 2nd time staying here, first time was in March and we just checked out today. Hotel staff and rooms are very nice. The restaurant on the other hand is quite slow, both times we were there. We had to ask for our menus on more than one occasion. I’d suggest going somewhere else to eat. One time we waited over 5 minutes for a menu and we were the only table.

The rooms were clean but the restaurant service was bad. It was understaff with one person being the bartender and waitress. Then we wonder what the food came out late it was because there was one cook. The breakfast was terrible the French toast was flat cheap bread and the egg omelet was like frozen egg mix with a horrible cheese topping. No fruits very bad.

Main area and lobby was clean. Rooms were standard but humid, maybe due to being on the beach. Pool and bar area ok. I prepaid for breakfast with the room and was given a limited meau instead of the regular meau however the prices on the meau were dollar amount comparable to want we wanted to order and we were NOT ALLOWED TO ORDER! So not worth prepaying breakfast!
