The no pets on the grass policy in a pet friendly hotel was odd and the pet potty area was an 8x8 area at the furthest possible point on the property

The hotel has damage from the storms last year. There is construction going on. Access to the beach is not directly from the hotel because of it. You have to walk to another parking lot to get to the beach. The hot tub is still unavailable.

Property pool and Jacuzi

Construction going on at the hotel that we were not aware of, dirty pool, hot tub not functioning or filled, no beach access, elevator shutdown from first floor for 2 days, ran out of parking, had to park down the street at another hotel. When we complained about the parking the night manager or owner stated that we could leave and sleep in our car if we didn’t like the parking arrangement.

Everything about this hotel was a nightmare. The parking lot is impossible to park with a truck. All staff I encountered (except for the front desk lady I checked in with) were extremely rude. I had kids smoking weed in the staircase that was literally right outside of the door. The hotel DOES NOT have direct beach access (you have to either jump a fence or walk to the public access). The hot tub is closed. None of the ice machines actually work. The exterior seems to be in the middle of a remodel, but it's in complete shambles. I will never even consider a La Quinta again after this hell hole.

Clean and easy access to the beach, the parking have limited spaces, so if you leave and return at night was difficult to find a space. The sofa bed in the bedroom was terrible we call front desk to asking if some one can fixed or changed it, but never came to our room to do it. As a recommendation the hotel is in front of the beach is better if they offer chairs or towels that you can use at the beach.

Pool was closed and beach access was through the parking lot next door to property. Limited parking available. Room was clean and check in staff was nice.

Hot tub broke

The brand new, zero entry pool, hot tub and surrounding patio area was wonderful. Front desk staff was kind enough to let me choose our floor and we ended up with a room that walked right out to the gorgeous pool which made our stay unforgettable. Breakfast was not wonderful but a lot better than most hotel breakfasts we’ve had. Hotel room was nothing fancy but it was clean and livable for our stay. Overall I feel like we got the biggest bang for our buck and would definitely stay here again.

Unhealthy, place to stay with your family, mold in the shower, broken curtains dirty and smelly, also the bed linens were previously used and never stripped for washing.

Room was dirty, bathroom door filthy, floors dirty, shoes off, feet were black. Ceiling was obviously repaired due to water leak, breakfast was serioylsy lacking, took a picture of the crock pot used with the sausage gravy, hadnt been cleaned in months most likely. Would not stay here again.

Good location

Really nice and clean

I couldn't see anything good about the property after entering a very disgusting room. The chair was filthy. The walls and floor were dirty. We wiped down the toilet seat with lysol wipes and they were dirty, meaning the room had not been cleaned good at all. We could not stay, so we checked out and requested a refund!

Needs to be cleaned better

It was very clean very helpful staff their breakfast was great there was eggs sausage links waffles orange juice apple juice and more a decent dining area to sit to have breakfast my bedroom had the view of the beach and the water

The toilet seat was broken. Had 3 rooms and there were roaches in all 3

There was trash on the floor from the person who stayed before me. The drains on the sink and shower didn’t do their jobs. The floors and baseboards, nasty. Stains on the walls. It’s underneath to have a few here and there, but the place was pretty disgusting.

Room was not clean. Floor was dirty, hair on the beds, room smelled like stinky feet made room feel even more dirty it was a smell you could not avoid any where in the room. The only nice thing was the view of the beach and we enjoyed it for like 30 mins.

My room was super clean and nice. However, I didn't have a safe and i didn't have outlets in between the beds. You could see the cutouts for them though andThe refrigerator wasn't very cold. Pool was great! Feet away from ocean. My daughter's room was Great! But, refrigerator wasn't cold either.

Pull out bed was practically unusable. Photos of property do not accurately represent property. Mattress was poor. A broom in the room would be nice because of beach sand and housekeeping only coming every other day.

The hotel rooms are a good size and the beds are clean but on tv didn’t work the bathrooms are super outdated and the baseboards with dirty. Very low water pressure and the sink was clogging. Room service people look like thieves and the pool was beautiful but there was a spot where my kids kept falling because of algae because they weren’t cleaning that area. The views are beautiful and the guest are friendly. Wouldn’t rent again due to bathrooms and a lot of homeless in the area,

We had a room on the beach.

Was OK. Initially, I was charged more for the rooms than quoted on Hotels.com but the service desk was able to correct it. Room was adequate. Only issue encountered in the room was lackluster water pressure and very limited hot water. Breakfast was barely edible. One other patron actually described the eggs as "putrid" and I agreed. Waffle batter and coffee were both watered down and the biscuits served with biscuits and gravy were harder than the rubber pucks used in the Stanley Cup. Hotel should avoid advertising free hot breakfast until after those issues are remedied. Ok, back to the room. We had a suite which was spacious. Beds were comfortable. But no outlets near the beds, so if you use your phone as an alarm clock, you'll have to traverse the tile floor to snooze it, or leave it unplugged overnight.

We checked in online and when arriving on site to get our room, our room was given away to another guest. We were given keys to a room with guests already inside. The second room we were given was FILTHY. Stains on the blankets. The pull out couch was broken. No extra blankets or sheets provided. It was absolutely disgusting. We paid for “ocean view” and certain didn’t get that after they gave our room away to someone else.

the bathtub dripped all night.

The room could use a little udating, new matresses n fresh paint. Otherwise great place for the cost. Beach access was steps away and breakfast was good.

The bed was clean but the room was very dusty. No internet the first night

The staff was definitely excellent with their customer service. The lobby is updated and nice. Love the pool and being on the beach. The rooms are a little out dated and pull out couch is old ams could be cleaned better. Also housekeepers need to double check once finished with bed making that there hair isn't left on top covering.

Was really looking for better in this stay...it started off on the wrong foot and just never recovered. Prior to stay I had tried to contact this property by phone once and by emails through Expedia and the property directly several times. No reply to any of the different methods of communication. Not a huge deal as it wasn't an urgent need but wanted information on the stay. We pre checked in online from the link they sent us. All was fine there. We arrived at about 2:45...check in is 3pm. We were told room was not clean yet that it would be about 15 minutes which would be 3pm. Perfectly understandable...however after the 15 minutes were were told no less than three times it would be just ten more minutes for the room to be ready. It was almost 4pm before the room was done. That's an hour after check in time. Nothing was said about it at all by staff. I would think maybe they would have offered an hour late check out or something but they absolutely just write it off as of well. We got to our room and it was fine. We had the king room with the jetted tub. Room was clean and fairly newly remodeled. Outside area is decent as well. The other issue was with staff allowing weed to be smoked out back in the common area and some of the ground floor rooms and balconies. Well...all their smoke gets pulled right into the AC units causing everyone's room to reek of the smoke. The staff seems to be ok with it as they never addressed the large group doing it.

I wouldn’t recommend this place. We had to wait 30 minutes just to check in because there was only one person working the front desk. The room was dirty — the bed had hair on it, and the sheets were torn. Every time we took a shower, the bathroom flooded and water even seeped into the room. On top of that, the phone wasn’t working, so we couldn’t call the front desk for help. Very disappointing experience overall.

The whole staff that I asked for any thing from. They were all rude. I went up front to ask a question about a couple things that needed to be looked at in the room. As I was talking the girl at the front desk in the evening time just turned around and walked away.

Staff were amazing and very accommodating to our super late arrival due to a very delayed flight. They made the stay enjoyable and were always available to help or meet our needs. We upgraded to a beachfront room and it was well worth the little extra in pay. Loved the zero depth pool for our youngest two kids and a nice deeper end for our oldest. Fantastic access to the beach and close enough to walk to the main pier, shopping, and restaurants. Loved the free on site parking as well. Not the fanciest hotel, but met every need we had for our family of 5.

We got exactly what we expected—and that’s a good thing. We knew going in that this was one of the older properties in Daytona, and that was perfectly fine with us. We don’t need luxury when all we’re looking for is a clean, safe, and affordable place to bathe and sleep. The room met those expectations. It was clean, just steps from the beach, and the pool was well-maintained. Housekeeping came daily, which was a nice touch and the staff washed down all outside areas each evening. We did run into an issue with the AC unit on our first night, but the front desk staff handled it impressively. They responded quickly and replaced it with a brand-new unit, which made the rest of our stay comfortably frigid—just how we like it! The only downside wasn’t really the hotel’s fault: there was a noticeable smell of marijuana around the property at times, which wasn’t ideal for our family with small kids. It seemed to be more about the guests than the management. Overall, we had a great stay and definitely plan to return. If you're looking for a no-frills beachfront spot with responsive staff and solid amenities, this place delivers.

Check-in was fast and check-out was faster. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast; cereal, waffle maker, English muffins and sausage biscuits along with some other options. Pool area looked nice and easy access to beach. Had to go to front to grab more towels cause they only had two in the room. Maintenance also left a dolly in the room

The hotel was great. We overall had a great night stay. Room was clean and staff was friendly, we were even able to check in early. The pool is kid friendly and even has a mushroom that creates a waterfall. They have rinse off stations outside for after the beach/before entering the pool. We did not have breakfast so I can not comment on that but my overall impression was that it was a great last minute booking for us.

Overall experience was okay. Staff were great and hotel was super close to the beach. We enjoyed the hot tub and the feee breakfast. The rooms were a little run down and the first room we tried to check into was a mess and had to get another room. Biggest downside was at night, the area seems very unsafe. The first night there was what seemed like a party in the parking lot with a lot of rowdy people. I felt uncomfortable leaving our room to go to the beach or pool even with a swimsuit coverup.

The location was excellent. We could walk to the pier and the center for all the shopping & eat places. The hotel had a great outdoor space with a pool, eating spaces and just tables & chairs to relax and enjoy the view. The room on the other had needed a couple of things 1 showers needed to have some type of grab bars for older people and the only other thing was the water pressure in the sink was very low. Enjoyed the stay.

Love the ocean view, and opening the sliding glass door to open courtyard and pool area. Always stay there when traveling through.

Area around the hotel is run down. The hotel itself is "used." It has been around a while.

The price for this location and beach view, pool, and beach access is wonderful. It's condition and cleanliness is pretty good. The only real negative was having to smell the cigarette and marijuana smoke while sitting at the pool from disrespectful people smoking on their balconies.

Beach front was great, with nice sitting area and pool. Parking a little tight but overflow used lot across street. Breakfast fine. Not too far to main peer. Easy 11 minute jog to peer. Nice morning routine of coffee out on the deck beside the pool.

The pool and beach access was very convenient . Breakfast was nice. The only thing was the floors aren’t that clean. Otherwise it was a nice place. Felt safe. I’d definitely stay again. Our housekeeper was nice and helpful

Property was convenient to attractions,shopping and dinning. Room needed some mantince, shower would not drain, tv had a line in it, bathroom door should be replaced, beds were okay, breakfast was horrible not many options, the 4 days we stayed hot tub was not working.

We always have a great time, we visit this hotel about 3 or 4 times a year. The breakfast is great!

Cold breakfast..will never stay there again

I brought my family on vacation and I decided to stay at this hotel because in the past we’ve always chosen La Quinta as our hotels. Reason being is because they provide free breakfast and have always been clean. This one however I was disappointed in. First, the breakfast was mediocre at best. There weren’t many kid friendly options (muffins, kid friendly cereal, etc), the biscuits and gravy were okay, I don’t know what kind of meat the sausage was, and every time someone would make a waffle in one of the waffle irons, it would stick regardless of spraying it first. Secondly, the parking for this hotel is inadequate. For the amount of rooms they have, the parking lot should hold as many cars. Nobody should be having to park across the street and then made to cross a busy street. Especially when families are staying at this hotel who have small children. Honestly, when I do return to Daytona for another family vacation, I will be choosing a different hotel.
