They need to change the furniture in the lobby are dirty and old, they don't have access door to the beach you have to go by the public street, they use the same elevator for maintenance employees with tools, clothes basket etc... They need a lot improvement

The pool was closed and there was no beach access but the pool was set to open this week. No air in the hallways or elevators so it was really hot. Air in rooms worked perfectly. Staff was super friendly.

Property was clean, front desk at check in was awesome, more front desk interactions were mixed good and bad. When we booked the room we were not aware the pool was under construction & the access to the beach wasnt available no mention on this site. Only three days before check in did we receive an email informing us of no pool or direct ocean entrance from hotel. Couldnt cancel because of cancelation policy, we felt like the old bait and switch was used. Would make sure you call property first to make sure its what ypu want.

Rude receptionist housekeeping were nicer than the guy name Andrew. I came in 2 hours earlier to see if I can check in. He was not there just the housekeeping. Then I asked he said not till 4 rolled his eyes and walked away. To answer the phone like I wasn’t even there. Came back at 4 and my room was still not ready and waited a extra 20 30 minutes. The pool was not even working . Or the gym. This was suppose to be a gift for my 13 year old son. Will highly not be coming back, Or recommending to anyone.

Hotel was clean but elevator wasn’t working .. no pool or beach access. Didn’t tell us at the time of booking there was no beach access or pool. We had to go up and down the stairs case which was accessible from out side because of non functioning elevator

King tide= No beach no fault to hotel. Hotel is dirty overall with greasy hand prints everywhere. Needs upgrading, and paint. mini fridge worked good. Tiny little bugs like a sand ant or something very tiny on dresser and in first drawer. Glasses in room were dirty with dried drink but upside down as if clean. glass rings on table and dresser from not being wiped down. Fortunately only there one night while commuting and I was able to clean everything before going in. weight room , missing many weights Dirty on all aspects and chose to walk back out and go for a walk down the sidewalks at night over the safety of a gym. breakfast was good. cooks were nice. eggs were cold but due to the deep pot they were in on a small burner. HOT wonderful oatmeal :)

Me and my family checked in Friday night and my room was hot and stuffy couldn’t get the air conditioning to cool off the room. Saturday morning went for the free breakfast and the staff was rude and not enough food. But for the price I paid I didn’t complain because it was right on the beach but it needs some upgrades. The carpet was filthy and the furniture was also dirty.

The service from the staff there was really good, but as for the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. There was a lot of dirt, and the lack of maintenance in the refrigerators and ice machine made a difference. The ice machine also didn't work.

I was very disappointed with the look condition and lack of professionalism at this hotel. My experience was ruined due to this hotel. It was dirty front from the front door. The lobby area looked on cap, dirty furniture. The staff was rude with the exception of Ryan, which was the only one that had any type of professionalism. The hallway on the ninth floor with my room was was extremely hot. The carpet was dirty. It smelled staff gave you gave you weird looks like I was bothering them for booking the hotel room there the room was dirty. The bathroom was dirty the pillows everything they have stains on the ceilings on the walls. Paint was peeling. I was almost scared to even stay, but I had no other option. We ended up checking out very early because I couldn’t bear and my family couldn’t bear to sleep there any longer I wish and I’m going to try to reach out to Expedia to request partial refund because what they portrayed on their website for the description of the hotel was not correct.

This property needs a lot of TLC. It ia sad to see, because the condos are taking over. The carpet was damp, which means mold. The Air Conditioning was out in the hallways. The stay was not great, kind of noisy.

It was not clean. I never saw the hallway vacuumed, my bed was clean, but the rest of the room was ehh on the clean job. The pool had been shut down due to the hurricane. I found out from some other guests that had stayed there frequently for years that it was not because of the hurricane 2 months ago, it was the hurricane 2 years ago. This also shut down half of the parking lot. So, I had no problem parking the first 2 days when they were dead, but the last 2 days there were a few more people (still not a lot) and had to park behind the Tshirt store across the street, not ideal as a woman by myself. The breakfast was typical heat and serve hotel breakfast, but that area was clean and monitored by the guy who did the breakfast everyday. So, he kept it up. Really, the clean breakfast area and the amazing view of the ocean out my back door are what made it worth the stay.

The hotel is run-down and dirty. The towels have holes in them, the furniture is chipped and worn, the air vent is caked with inches of dust, the refrigerator rattles loudly all night long, the carpet has stains on it, there are fingerprints and scuff marks on the walls, the sheets smell bad and the room has a musty, sewer-like smell to it.

The hotel was dirty, the carpets looked like they had not been vacuumed in weeks. The A/C was not in common areas, the elevators did not appear to work properly, with a least a 5 minute wait each use and you were lucky to get on the first time, and yes you can just use the stairs but if you have multiple bags and small children 8 flights isn’t happening. The rooms were cramped, had to call for extra towels and sheets to make up the sofa bed for my kids, and were still not brought what was asked for. The sinks leak all over the counter by design because the faucets are too short, so while they might look nice initially the functionality of them isn’t great. The staff’s attitude at check in was indifferent, more interested in getting you to sign their waiver making sure you know there is NO BEACH OR POOL ACCESS UNTIL 2026… when I booked the hotel I did not see this clearly stated anywhere ( may have been my oversight but I am usually very thorough). However i did receive a message after booking stating that there was no beach or pool access due to “the hurricane”. I sent the hotel a message asking if the pool and beach were indeed closed and received no response. My intention was to cancel our reservation if they were. I should have just followed my gut. Breakfast was fine, but make sure you get up early to get there and not have to wait. The only nice thing about the whole stay was the view of the oceanfront room. It was beautiful.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast! On the beach but had to go to the park next-door in order to get on the beach there was no access from the hotel. Only real complaint I would have is that none of the balcony that faced the ocean had any furniture so it was useless to have a balcony where you couldn’t sit outside

PROS: Light breakfast included in stay. Waffle house restaurant within walking distance if you want something more hearty. Nice view of the beach. Next door to a park for easy access to the beach. Room and bed clean. CONS: Not flexible on early check-in. Very limited parking availability, had to park across the street. When we were there, the pool area was under construction. The shower was in a bath tub that was difficult to manage.

Front Desk was great and very helpful. First night, room a/c did not work. We were moved to a new room the next day. Breakfast dishes needed a second cleaning, coffee cup still had lipstick on the cup and plate needed cleaning. Breakfast was great! Parking was great! Would stay again once pool area and pool are opened.

To start we were notified only a couple days before our arrival that the pool and hot tub were not available during our stay. Also the sliding door to the balcony was stuck shut unless you used a lot of force to open it. Apparently it has been that way for a while because the handle eventually broke while opening it. The room was ok besides the typical wear and tear, stained carpet and squealing shower head. The location was perfect for what we wanted and the view was great…

The staff at the hotel were excellent. Arriving, we noticed the pool was under repairs. The room was good but carpet and walls needed cleaning and or repair. The view was gorgeous, but had nothing to sit and enjoy. When asked if we could have some chairs for the balacony, the staff response was," You can go to Walmart and buy some". WHAT?? Plus their restaurant for evening dining was closed due to STAFF SHORTAGE. Breakfast was very good and the staff working were friendly and helpful. I would stay there when things get back in order.

The ice machine was not out of the way like you normally see, but by the elevator and it dropped ice all night long and was incredibly loud. We came back the first night early by 9:30 and there was no parking left and when we asked where can we park, we were told we had to park across the 4 lane beach road in an unsupervised, unlit parking lot of a closed store. They have a parking lot in the back, but they have it closed down because the pool is closed, but the parking lot is fine, so instead you would rather have your clients park across a busy street in the dark and leave their vehicle and hope they don’t get hit as they cross? I didn’t expect that that from a Hyatt Hotel, we were disappointed with our experience.

I had an OK stay, once I got into the room I had a bunch of stuff I wanted to put in the fridge, and the fridge did not work. Every time you flush the toilet, the toilet would make a high-pitched noise lasting up to a couple minutes afterwards. The room definitely could use a better cleaning. My bed was very comfortable, and the view was absolutely beautiful to the ocean.

Love staying at a hotel that has a beachfront room with a balcony so that I can watch sunrise while drinking my coffee. I also like to relax in evening listening to waves while reading my book. Unfortunately this hotel had no chairs available for on balcony. Also very disappointed that there was no beach access. First day had to walk four doors down to get to beach then park next door opened. The posting said pool was closed but many other disappointments. Beds were not comfortable and neither were pillows. The best thing about this hotel was their staff. Air conditioner broke one night leaving room at 78 degrees. Next morning maintenance supervisor came and got it running. Didn’t get cleaning service and Ryan from front desk helped us with that. Ryan was always friendly and apologizing for lack of other amenities. He was helpful in many ways. Not my usual Hyatt Place experience with this hotel but grateful for the awesome staff.

No water pressure whatsoever, cannot say this enough. The sink had significantly higher water pressure and volume than the shower. Literally worst shower I’ve ever seen. Also had the loudest refrigerator that buzzed nonstop. AC didn’t work very well either

I chose this hotel because it is on the beach and had a pool. When we checked in we found out that the pool was being repaired and the only access to the beach was through the local park next to it. When I inquired about access the front desk rudely told me that it was over the wall!! I asked if I had to climb the wall and he just grunted. I also inquired about compensation and he told me I all ready had a discount! My bill did not reflect a discount!! I have stayed at many Hyatt's but I will rethink my choice.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Didn’t get a room until after 7:00pm (waited 3 hours!) as entire housekeeping staff quit the day before. Requested room (ocean view) not available. O e king bed instead of 2 queens (as requested) not available!!! No pool, no beach access

Even with the construction happening during our stay (which we knew about ahead of time), this turned out to be one of the best anniversary vacations we've had in a while. The hotel's location was perfect—everything we needed was within a 20-minute drive in any direction. Some mornings the breakfast could have been better, but hey, we still ate and made it work, lol. We especially loved how easy it was to get to the beach—such a convenience! I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 mainly due to the ongoing construction and the fact that the building is a bit outdated. Still, we had a great experience overall!

The property was clean and convenient to port orange restaurants and shops. There was still repair work going on from the hurricane. The pool was non existent as were the stairs going to the beach. It was necessary to go to the next beach access about 2 blocks away to get to the beach. Breakfast was good. The bacon was so thin that it only had one side. The staff was very polite and helpful. Will stay there again.

The hotel is in a decent location and the room was spacious. However, there wasn’t enough parking, only a few lounge chairs by the pool where there’s plenty of room to add more. No restaurant or bar service and the complementary breakfast was the worse. Not enough tables and chairs, no plates and glasses, ran out of OJ, ice water and decaf coffee. Also, no bread and the fruit was not good. Terrible experience in that aspect. We expected better from Hyatt.

We had a really good stay. The bad reviews (and many are wrong) are scary and I almost did not book here. Check in was easy. The staff are all very friendly. We were in room 612. Super Cold AC, Very hot shower, lots of TV channels. The beds were comfortable. We had a side view of the beach. The room was clean and we had no problems. The hotel was very quite. No slamming doors were heard. The last night, someone was smoking on their balcony so we didn't get to enjoy looking at the stars and listening to the waves. Breakfast was very good. We had bacon the first day and that was the best breakfast of our stay. I did not notice any leaks in the ceiling in the dining area. The breakfast is one of the best free breakfast we have ever had at a hotel. The hotel looks like it has been remodeled lately and is very clean. We did not see any of the problems that people complained about recently. The pool was great. The gate to the beach worked perfect. There was plenty of free parking. My only two complaints. 1. The milk wasn't cold enough. 2. They need free coffee in the lobby 24/7 We would stay here again.

The view and the staff were nice. The breakfast bar was pretty good. The pool and hottub are both not working. There wasn't enough parking in the main parking or the overflow lot for their guests. We only had fresh towels the first day of our 5 night stay, and requested towels but was told by staff that the hotel was out of towels. The price of the hotel was not relective of the quality of stay. Maybe once they get all the renovations finished it would be worth the price.

Check in was simple. Upon getting into our room, it was determined the cable didnt work on the tv. Front desk moved us rooms, but mibmved us from a king bed room to 2 queen beds room. Breakfast was nice and the staff we saw were friendly, but they are super understaffed. The cafe on property was never open for dinner due to staff calling out and theirwas no trained bartender. I would possibly consider returning once the pool and beach access is completed and they have a proper staff for all amenities to be available.

The Hyatt is typically a solid place to stay. Unfortunately, during our visit memorial day weekend, it was not advertised that the pool would be closed and that there was construction in their parking lot. The hotel was clearly understaffed and lacked management to support the front desk so staff members were frazzled and didn't provide proper instructions and hospitality was subpar. The breakfast bar was consistenlty backed up and empty and the common areas were dirty and filled with trash. Thankfully the room was clean and the view was great. The beachfront property's beach access was nonexistent due to construction, but we were able to to get to the beach through a different hotel nearby. Hopefully this was an anomoly and not the norm. We were able to enjoy our stay and make the best of it. If budget allows, we recommend management invests in contracted staff to assist hospitality teams in preparation of contingent plan when closing down certain operations.
