We have stayed at this hotel several times over the past decade and always have a great experience. Excellent location, rooms and common areas are well designed, overlooks the beautiful Miami River and the striking downtown buildings. Would have given 5 stars except for parking issues: valet very expensive and staff didn't seem to be able to efficiently direct us to parking garage (which we eventually found on our own). This is the first time we have traveled to downtown Miami using our personal vehicle rather than relying on public transportation, which was a mistake. Also, in order to check in an hour early had to pay an additional $20. The room was ready. That is a pretty offensive policy. We checked out at 6:45 am, which is over 4 hours before check-out time, perhaps we will be due a credit? (NOT! -LOL)

Hotel is very outdated and needs an update badly. The elevators constantly had long lines of 15-20 people or more, and the lobby was half blocked off due to a flood before we arrived. The restaurant in the hotel was also mediocre at best, with both drinks and food being incredibly underwhelming.

Location and hotel are great. Lots of options within walking distance. Great room views. Bathrooms are a little dated, low toilets. Parking is horrible! No on free onsite self parking. Self parking available at a strangely set up city garage across the street that charges every time you go in & out. There is a strange under street tunnel thing that you can get to the lobby without being in the weather but it is confusing and not well marked. Same thing for entering and exiting the garage. Confusing and not well marked. Parking spaces are somewhat random and garage ramps are set up reversed ( drive on left) like England's.

The property in and around the pool area was dirty. The gym area was extremely small for the size of the hotel. Definitely after thought. The rooms haven’t been updated in forever. The intersection outside the front of the hotel is probably one of the busiest intersections in the entire city due to the fact that it comes off the highway, andit leads to one of the drawbridges, that is continuously operating causing traffic to back up. The neighborhood in and around the hotel area if you take a left is extremely unwalkable and feels unsafe to the right is a very nice area.

Property was generally clean. The rooms are dated, especially the bathrooms. Our shower tub barely drained. The beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable. The property is kept well overall. Gym and pool are small but a nice benefit to have. Cafe marketplace was a nice perk.

For an older hotel, the rooms were clean and modernized. The hotel snack bar had many items and variety. The hotel bar and restaurant was pleasant but closed at 10pm unannounced when it normally is open until 11pm.

Stopped here for one night, pre-cruise. Huge lobby, nice fitness center and very spacious room. Stayed on the sixth floor which is probably a bit too close to the traffic noise.

Valet-only parking, and traffic so terrible it is difficult to enter or exit hotel. Hotel room floor was perpetually wet in some spots. Power went out in the room one morning. Old moldy sandwich found in mini-fridge from who knows how long ago. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Staff was excellent though, and the location was good in theory given that it was decently close to activities and places to eat, but only if you are planning to walk. I doubt I will return to Miami anytime soon, but I will absolutely not return to this hotel. The hotel stay itself was completely average, but the traffic alone made it a nightmare of a stay.

The front desk was very helpful and the lobby nice. The room was dusty with a musty smell. The furniture was old outdated and falling apart. I had a hard time sleeping the night there. The pool was very small and the area dirty so we did not swim. While the staff was friendly, the hotel itself was horrible. I won’t ever go back.

My family Iikes to stay in that hotel the only issue I found was in the room we stayed smelled funny, ut was like they don’t clean the carpets very often and humidity makes a funny smell. I don’t know what they can do about it but it’ll be nice for them to take care of it. Also the elevator to the little train doesn’t work so if you or anyone has a walker or wheel chair will not be easy to get around if you want to use the train and electric escalator doesn’t work either since is shared with another building probably that’s why it’s not fixed yet I stayed there a year ago and it was the same situation

The hotel is nice, but it is in a very busy part of downtown near the railroad and it’s very loud even on the 12th floor. You could hear all the traffic all night long and have to use earplugs. I wouldn’t stay here again because of the noise.

I can’t even get across my point of how loud this place was! People in the hallways screaming and the noise from the highway outside! It’s so loud they leave earplugs for you on the nightstand! Had another night booked here for a return night off a cruise and I cancelled it!

The hotel is beautiful. I splurged on a corner room and it was not cheap for getting zero sleep. Cars honked all night long, police sirens blared all night, and although the hotel can’t help that, a better insulation on windows or walls maybe? We had to turn white noise on to get any semblance of sleep.

The hote and location is great. What needs more work is the valet parking . Waiting 40 minutes for them to bring the vehicle and i wasnt the only one with the issued. If youbare in a rush to somewhere snd they have an event next door in the conveyional center. Good luck!!

The property is well maintained and the staff is personable and helpful. We only stayed one night had dinner in the restaurant, Riverside. Then ate there again for breakfast which was delicious. The staff at Riverside was great 👍 👌. The only issue that we had was the city view room was a bit noisy in the evening with the rooms being above a main road and drawbridge but the view was AMAZING. Loved looking at the boat going up and down the river below along with sky thru the highrises. The noise did die down around 11pm.

Hyatt Regency Miami area around don't feel safe. Lots of homeless and drinkers on the street. It's so noisy, building tear down. Importantly, the manager and the front desk of Miami Hyatt Regency are Untrustworthy!!! If I can, I will give 0 star. We stay two night in Miami Hyatt Regency. It was a nightmare on that two nights. Hyatt over sold their room and give us a employee rest floor to us. At night 3 a.m. about 10-15 people stay in on room. They go in/out slamming the door, Drinking, Talking, Laughing VERY VERY loud. Just like a wild party. We request room change next morning, front desk noted in their computer system and promise will have another room for us. Come back at night, Room sold out again? The manager admit they over sold hotel rooms, and promise tonight will be quite, the laugh group next to our room already check out. The manager offer compensate free breakfast for us. 2nd night, loud group of people moved from our next room to the room across, little better, but still talking and laughing. The compensated free breakfast turn around CHARGED back to my Credit Card. We'll NEVER EVERY STAY at Hyatt Regency Miami, and we will spread out the words to all of others we possible can!!!

The hotel did not have any of our type of room available then when they did it was too close to the street and we could hear everything. We spoke with Michael, the front desk manager and he was able to change it for us. It did take a few extra hours of waiting but we got a better room and the service was most memorable only because of Michael. Would definitely stay here again.

Extremely Disappointed – Would Not Recommend I typically don’t write reviews, but my recent experience at the Hyatt Regency was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. I booked my room a month in advance, with check-in scheduled for 4 PM on a Saturday. My family and I arrived back from our cruise at 9 AM that morning and attempted to check in early. The front desk staff informed me that a room should be ready within an hour and that I would receive a text once it was available. An hour passed—no message. I understand that early check-in is based on availability and that rooms need to be cleaned, but I was told we were added to the waiting list and were second in line out of 37 people. By 1 PM, still nothing. I went back to the desk and was told they were running behind due to a large dance event, and no rooms were currently available. If that was the case, why was I told initially that one would be ready soon? What’s the point of reserving and paying for a room in advance if you can’t honor the check-in time or communicate accurate wait times? To make matters worse, people who arrived after us were checked in before us, and we didn’t get into our room until after 5 PM. The experience didn’t improve once we finally got the room—it was not properly cleaned, and overall, the staff came off as unprofessional and poorly organized. If you're looking for fast, efficient service and a seamless stay, this is not the place. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend

The cost of the breakfast buffet is outrageous for your typical hotel breakfast that most hotels just include in their stay. The service was awful there too. The breakfast host was rude and I didn’t even know there was one until my boyfriend and I sat at an empty table and he found us. It’s all very difficult to navigate for a simple/basic hotel breakfast. Other than that the hotel is nice and comfy. Service is important though and we will not be staying here ever again!

The room was great, but Miami nightlife is noisy… Staff are great. Breakfast included items are cold, so opt for items off menu. Good location near South Beach and Downtown. Love watching the mega-yachts motor out at night right next to the hotel!
