Old & not well kept up … the shuttle drivers were nice but unorganized … tried several times to contact front desk from MIA about when the shuttle would arrive but they never once answered the phone - shuttle info on website was outdated and incorrect… I would never stay at this hotel again!!

The free airport shuttle did not stop at our gate (22) at the airport, so we had to walk to 14, in order to stop the shuttle and use it.

Close to the airport. Shuttle stops at all shuttle doors 5, 22, etc) as advertised and is 10 mins to the hotel. NO TEA NO coffee on common areas, the one available is inside the hotel restaurant and you have to pay for it. Gym small but convenient. Toilet was clogged on arrival. I would expect they clean it every time somebody check out and flush. But it appears not. 24 hour IHOP and gas station within walking distance. Other restaurants a bit further away but still walkable. Rooms are very spacious, carpet in good condition, microwave, mini fridge, iron, tv, one-cup coffee maker (no tea, only decaffeinated)

It was absolutely rundown and disgusting! Walked into the lobby it was filthy! Not one spec of decor anywhere. All the walls chairs floors cracked broken and run down! Giant ball of hair and dust around an old dirty sock was the first think we saw when we walked in the lobby! Room stunk to high heaven and was again run down and filthy dirty I couldn’t believe it I have never stayed somewhere so gross! Do NOT recommend!

Carpet smelled horrible. There was a cockroach in the lobbies furniture. We had a queen double bed room; both beds sounded each time you moved. One of the Bed sheets had stains so we had to use 1 bed instead of both. Bathroom was clean but conditions of the shower and the walls was very poor. The bedrooms ceiling was cracked and looked like it has water damage.

The check in process was quick. The room was ice cold when I arrived and just a standard room. The shower was nice but the tv did not work. Maintenance was called and he was able to turn the TV on using the buttons in the bottom of the tv. He did not speak English so communication was hard. When he left the tv was loud and there was no way for me to adjust the volume or change the channel, so I just turned it off. There was a musty moldy cheesey smell coming from the room more so like in between the the two beds. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. They served as variety of meals. Just thankful to get a room for one night due to the cancelled flight.

Our room was probably top of the line 40 years ago. It was clean. Towels were thick. Light seeped in around the door jam. AC had one setting which was not very cold. My sisters room smelled moldy(321).

I knew we were headed towards a negative experience with this hotel when we made over 10 attempts to contact the front desk to request the airport shuttle come pick us up. It took over an hour and we never were able to contact them and were only able catch the shuttle because we saw it circling the arrival area and flagged it down. The hotel is very dated. We had to switch rooms twice. The first room was smoky and had a pile of dirty towels in it. The second room was connected to the room next door and the lock connecting the room was missing, leaving our room open and unsecured. Avoid this property! Clarion is a major brand but this hotel does not meet their normal standards.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport which was excellent. Also booked it because it had a shuttle to MIA which was important to me. We checked in at 10pm and the front desk staff were ok. They were more concerned with talking with each other than paying attention to providing good customer service to the people they were helping with at the time.

The service was horrible. Called six times to be picked up from the airport and nobody answered. Had to take Uber to hotel. People must be paid by the hour because they were in no hurry to check us in. Shuttle would take you to port for a fee, but would not pick you up from the port. Area smelled like seaweed and diesel fumes. Dresser draw kept opening everytime someone walked by it. Lost television and internet service for the night. Overall I'd rather sleep in a car in the parking lot than stay there again. It is a trap hotel because they know people will use it for a quick stay between boarding their cruise or leaving the next day after returning from the cruise. Stay away.

After a long and exhausting flight, we were made to wait over an hour to check in. When it was finally our turn, we were completely dismissed and ignored by front desk staff despite standing right in front of their faces. This lack of service and blatant disregard for our time and patience was unacceptable and left us feeling deeply frustrated and disrespected. As a result of this experience, we chose to leave the property. While waiting for over an hour to check in, we contacted Experian to document the issue and inform them of the situation. Given that the team failed to provide the level of service expected and outlined in the agreement, l requested a full refund for our booking which Expedia claimed the hotel agreed to. However, no updates on this whatsoever after 3 days already passed.

It wasn't quiet especially when you're trying to sleep in and the guests would talk loudly, their kids would be screaming down the hall, and then they'd let their room doors just close on its own and it closes loudly. But the Clarion was convenient to eating places, close to the airport, and wasn't too loud as far as the airplanes, just that the guests were louder.

We stay severel time overnight when we get a fly from Miami airport and this is a good place they have shuttle to the airport. The hotel is in a good place quiet, the rooms are ok clean we didn’t have any complaint, I recommend it.

Chose due to the convenience of being close MIA. The shuttle service call didn't go thru when I arrived, but it was easy checking and surprisingly bigger room than many top tier hotels in same area. Even though it faces airport the noise was almost none. Overall comfortable to stay for quick layovers and would recommend this stay.

Toilet ran all the time, smelled like marijuana everywhere in the hotel. Carpet in the room smelled rotten, breakfast was overpriced and not any better than continental breakfast. Was doable for one night but was not the rooms we reserved.

Terrible experience in the Restaurant from the Hotel, I got food poisoning, I ordered the spaghetti meat balls, first of all you guys have to check your rotation of ingredients, the pasta with meatballs apparently your “chef” is a lazy and low qualify one and the dish was heated in the microwave in the foam container since it was bended from the bottom from heating it the lazy way, your sauce is Prego, Meatballs out of 4 little ones one I had to spit it out for the flavor but I already had eaten 3. Woke up at 3 am with diarrhea & vomiting the pasta.

This hotel is an older private hotel that was bought by Clarion. The lobby, entrance and main hallways have been updated, but those updates have not yet progressed to the upper halls and rooms. The bathroom door was warped and did not close completely. There was a musky smell in the room on entrance and you had to run the air conditioner completely to control it. The website indicated free breakfast, which is one reason I selected this hotel. There is a restaurant with a limited menu, but the food was hot and delicious. The service was prompt, but not overly friendly. The front desk was prompt and helpful in getting a shuttle to the Miami Port in the morning. Overall, I think once updates are completed, this will be a nice hotel.

Room was advertised with a complimentary breakfast. They only offer this to Carnival crew members. I found 2 live cockroaches on our bathroom wall and killed them. They had the a/c set to very cold and the room was cold. I turned on the furnace thermostat to heat. No result. I called the desk and was told that they do NOT have a heat system for this building. So, folks, if you are cold, suffer. Shuttle service was ok.
