TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Airport

Unfortunately the pool was closed! We did not receive a notice on this, which is the upsetting part since we were traveling last minute on a family emergency. We chose this hotel near the airport with a pool for our kids to enjoy some fun time but turned out it was under construction. No good - our room phone did not work and room smelled like old rag and it was humid. But the front desk staff and other staff members were friendly and understanding, and I definitely appreciated that!

The property was undergoing construction so noise was understandable. Pool was also out of order.

Front desk staff was super helpful with arranging travel to the port. Loved the bed and shower so much. Our room was great. The pool is being worked on and closed.

Excellent property and only issue I had was I had to wait an hour for airport shuttle at airport

Complimentary transportation is where we have to wait for an hour to get the shuttle , they said every 15mnts shuttle service is available but no its not good

The hotel advertises free airport shuttle service. What they don't say is that it ends at 9:30. Had to take an Uber after plane arrived 15 minutes late.

Only downside was no shuttle available after 10pm

Very nice hotel. Parking has daily fee plus tax.

Spent one night after a long day. The shuttle runs every half hour, so I was able to catch the last pick up. Though there were a lot of guests arriving at that time, check in was still quick and effortless. The front desk staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast started at 6 am and there were options for everyone to choose from. Time to head back to the airport. Checkout was simple and again the shuttle on time and the driver very helpful. I will stay here again.

The hotel was great but the Blue Fork Restaurant took over and hour for food. Also out waitress/bar server never came to refill water

On the first day after arriving, I purchase a sandwich, placed it in the dining area in my room, and when I went to pick it up again, there were ants surrounding and INSIDE the packaging. I made sure to throw it out and keep any food away from the rest of the room and only in the fridge.

My stay was okay overall. Not much variety for the breakfast menu. Basically the same foods everyday. The showerhead was very dirty had lots of build up I had to clean some off it before using the shower. Recommend proper cleaning or replace it. The room doors are really loud to close.

The room and public areas were clean and the staff was friendly.

The room was not clean. There was blood on the pillowcase I requested for the bedding to be changed. They left me the bedding on the bed for me to change it myself. The floor had pieces of trash on it. The toilet paper holder was broken so every time you use the toilet paper, it would roll across the room. The room smelled like mildew.

Old and dated property. Hallway and room carpet is filthy dirty. Otherwise the hotel is fine. Pictures were mostly likely taken when the hotel was first built— room has a lot of wear and tear now.

The room smelt overwhelmingly musty. Staff were friendly.

Do not stay on room 445 if you mind a musty smell, didn’t went away with really cold ac. All night was unpleasant. Not sure if most of the rooms smell like that but moldy smell makes it hard to sleep and rest

My husband and I had the worst hotel experience Staying at TownePlace Suites Miami airport. Our first room was incredibly dirty, which included stuff splattered on the walls, hair on the door, and pubic hair on two of the towels. After calling the front desk and requesting another room, we were moved to a second room. Upon inspection, the bathroom was also incredibly dirty. The towels were damp, and there was something red covering the doorhandle. Upon requesting another room, this third room was also dirty. My husband and I had an early flight the next morning and were unable to shower or sleep because there was hair and dirt on the bedsheets. We let the front desk know, spoke to the supervisor and the general manager about all of these issues and no one was able to resolve the issue for us. In fact, they were defensive and indifferent. The only reason why we stayed is because it was midnight and we had an early flight and it was nonrefundable. I will never stay at this hotel ever again and I would never recommend it to anyone!

The room was perfect. It was very clean and accommodating with the kitchen. The location was perfectly close to the airport and accessible to the highway for ease to get around Miami.

We were greeted so politely and taken care of by Samantha at the front desk; she's an outstanding employee and honestly for her level of service she should really be working at a much nicer hotel than this.  That was the nicest part of our stay.   The only other bright spot was that the a/c functioned well and we didn't have any issues with it.  It was all downhill after that.  The location of the hotel is very close to the airport but the surroundings are extremely sketchy.  Do not think you will be taking an evening stroll around the neighborhood; you and your possessions may not make it back to the hotel.  When we arrived on our floor, the hallway smelled musty and damp... unfortunately that continued into the room.  When we got back to the room after dinner to take showers, the shower was absolutely pitiful, no water pressure and an odd flow pattern that didn't change much no matter how much you moved the flow modulator.  On to the bed.  Hard. Lumpy. Coils galore.  The sheets were rough and cheap. An absolutely horrific night's sleep and impossible to get comfortable.  Appreciate the free breakfast but didn't eat any of the powdered eggs and went to find a real breakfast in MidTown.  Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.  Samantha, Marriott should be promoting you and paying you more at a better hotel.  Wish I could have left a nicer review for your sake but that was a dreadful room and hotel.

Heat didn't work. Room temp 62. Heater made a horrible noise. Got to room 9:30 pm with a 5 am wakeup. Called maintenance at 11:30 pm after room getting colder. His solution was to shut off heat with a smart comment 'all fixed' no sleep. Froze all night

Nice and Close to airport but the Hard Mattress — Not really a good night sleep only int town for 1 night only

Great place, clean and room are Huges with a fully functional kitchen.

Loud AC, dirty bathroom. Fridge continued to make a clicking noise.

Staff was rude not help full’ requested early check inn handicapped room. We arrived at 12 pm. Sat and waited until 4:30 PM before getting a room meanwhile, probably 30 other guests checked in and got their rooms. We are supposed to stay there again next week for two nights, but we are going to cancel and say at a different Marriott hotel very disappointed in this hotel.

After a long day trip the check in program was down and wasn’t working They just ask us to stay seat and wait with no other option. We paid in advance for this and nobody offers even an apology.

Never to stay- We paid in December showed up in April and they did not have a room for us. Sent us to another hotel who also charged us. Now dealing with trying to get reimbursed We were blatantly lied to by the check in clerk who said we would not pay and get the same ammenities which was to include a breakfast. The hotel we were sent to did not honor the breakfast that we had paid for. I am totally dissapointed with the entire experience and the added stress this put on our bucket list vacation

I was very disappointed with the check in process. For a Marriott property, I expected better. We arrived early from our cruise ship, which I knew we probably would not be able to check in at that time, but were told once rooms were ready, we could check in and that they would call us. We checked periodically throught the day, without any luck. Finally, at 3:45, I went back to the front desk to find out WHEN we could check in and the supervisor said our rooms were ready. (The clerk we were working with throughout the day was gone and we never received a phone call.) Supervisor was very friendly and helpful. On the plus side, we were able to store our luggage and use the pool.

The front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful throughout my stay. From start to finish, they made me feel welcome and well taken care of. The check-in and check-out process were some of the smoothest and easiest I’ve experienced in a long time — efficient, hassle-free, and handled with genuine warmth and professionalism. It truly made a positive impression and set the tone for the rest of my visit.

Shelly at the front desk checked us in. She was fabulous. Her customer service was on point. We arrived early and rooms were not ready. She delivered the news to us in a professional manner and made sure we were comfortable as we waited. She got us into our room as soon as possible. The wait was not very long at all. Thanks again Shelly.

I had a great stay! I stayed here one night after a cruise. Samantha checked us in, she was so friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were friendly. I was impressed with how clean the entire place was. I saw many staff cleaning while there. Jayson was also very helpful. Having a laundry room was a bonus. I would love to stay again.

The staff at this hotel is possibly the nicest most helpful staff I’ve ever interacted with at a hotel beyond excellent !!!!!!!!!!

Pick up at the airport we only had to wait about 15 minutes for the shuttle. The staff was very hospitable and starting with Tanya Valentina Manuel Crystal in the restaurant and our shuttle driver Eduardo very knowledgeable and helpful. It was very clean and organized Run Hotel. The next time we come to Miami I will definitely be booking at this hotel.

Stayed before a cruise. Close to airport. Recently renovated. Has cute and functional kitchenette. Walked to Target and Outback.

Though quick, our stay was outstanding! From the clean room to the great breakfast to wonderful service!

The hotel was clean, quiet, and convenient to the airport. The breakfast was good- but very busy and would run out of items easily. Short 10 movie walk to Target and other shopping.

the free breakfast was below average, the boiled egg was refrigerator cold and the scrambled egg was tasteless.

The hotel is nice and clean, the only recommendation is to improve eggs for breakfast, eggs taste is awful

Efficient friendly service since we were early for check-in and we had luggage. Nice touch to have water and hot drinks available for guests while waiting. Room was nice with sufficient towels since we were 3. Breakfast was excellent - nicely prepared with many good options and on time. Great experience all around. We will consider staying there again if the opportunity arises.

Staff was excellent at check-in and the hotel suited our purpose very well for our overnight connection in Miami. The service at the restaurant was slow.

Staff is incredible, breakfast is great, the bar is also good. The food selection at the in house restaurant is a bit disappointing in that there aren't many options but what is there is really good. The only issue is as it's close to the airport, planes are constantly flying overhead so it's a bit noisy.
