Overall it was OK. Claimed to have a pool but it was empty, breakfast consisted of a bag with fruit & muffins. wifi wasn`t very good, location to get to downtown pittsburgh was ideal.

We were put in a basement room with no windows. The hotel is not handicap accessible. I had surgery 3 days prior to our stay and was on crutches. I was told there was no elevator and our room was in the basement. The room was not clean. The hotel was in a state of disrepair. The ice machine was broken which was a problem due to the necessity of ice following my surgery. The free breakfast consisted of an apple, a muffin, a small bottle of water, and a bottle of juice (according to the packaging the juice should have been refrigerated but was not) all in a brown paper sack. Checkout time was 11 am and we were awakened prior to that by someone entering our room to clean it. I will never stay at this hotel again and wouldn’t recommend staying there to my worst enemy.

The staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful. Their customer service made up for the hotel facility itself being a bit rundown. It had a 1970's feel. The room was clean aside from a musty smell that a couple candles got rid of. And the beds were comfortable. Parking was free and abundant. I would stay again because it was affordable and the customer service was great!!

Front desk person preoccupied and rude on arrival.Insisted on an unadvertised security deposit after room was paid for in full and I would have to wait for up to 2 weeks for my entitled refund. Breakfast included (as advertised) only to find it was lukewarm coffee. No food. A non-customer service attitude prevailed at checkout.

Took too long to check in and then we’re directed to the wrong area. Apparently the desk attendant was not as familiar with the hotel. The shower curtain had some black spots. Possibly mould? Toilet seat was not very clean. And first towel I tried to use was full of stains so I just used a different one. All in all….. you get what you pay for.

I didn't like anything about this hotel. Pretty much, I was forced to leave one day early because my room was not cleaned in 5 days. No clean towels or bed sheets were put in the room either. There were roaches all over the place, and to top it off, the so called "included breakfast" was a joke! I should get reimbursed for the day that I paid and left because of the filthy sanitary conditions.

Not that I did an early check-in and when I got there they didn't have the room clean they weren't ready for us and the lady behind the counter was just ignored and then when I did get into the room the room was still filthy there was food left in the microwave it was just a dirty ass place so no I wasn't happy at all

This hotel is old and run down. I usually have no issues with this as long as it is clean. This was not the case here. This room was dirty. The floor wasn't clean at all, and the baseboards were covered with dust and dirt. The shower had hair on the walls from previous occupants. The fridge had spilled food in it, when I pulled out the bedside table to access an outlet, there was a trash pile. There were pieces of corn on our bathroom floor. The drawers had crumbs and dirt in them. Another issue was that when showering, the water would suddenly be very cold or uncomfortably hot. We were there for 4 nights and our room wasn't services once. I have stayed in $18 a night hostels that were significantly cleaner than this place. The people working at the hotel were very nice. That is its only redeeming quality.

The floors were sticky. They never came into the room to remove trash or towels i had todo that. There were leaks at bottom of toilet and sink faucet. But the bed was comfortable.

No one told us about multiple steps..we dragged suitcases up and down. Room was large but not well appointed. Not even plastic cups for water in the room. No counter or shelf in the bathroom for personal items. Just the back of the toilet. Pedistal sink. No towel rack or even a hook for towels. Dark room. Basement…high window…curtains very hard to reach. Bed was comfortable…quiet room. Only good for sleep here.

The room was noisy and it smelled. It was situated right beside the pool that was very different than advertised with a very busy highway on the other side of the pool. The noise from the highway was overshadowed by the noise from the air conditioning unit however. The room smelled and there were cobwebs in the windows. No wonder this establishment was so strict on their “nonrefundable” policy…it’s the only way they can possibly make any money.

I booked this hotel months in advance. I was never notified of an extra fee that was required. (Which was not alot) but pretty inconvenient when we weren’t expecting it. I was then charged double what I should have. The workers weren’t very helpful. Took a while to get ahold of the manager. And on top of all that, the first room we were in didn’t have a working tv. And the second room that they moved us too, was filthy! the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Water pressure was terrible. I wouldn’t recommend this hot to anyone!

The staff Sam and Manager where so very kind, accommodating and helpful. Exceptional costumer service! Made our stay there pleasant. Room was neat and clean and and i liked that were able to park at the hotel and had access to our car to go places. I felt very safe and for the amount of traffic it was very quiet. Beds were pretty comfortable and i have a bad back and did ok sleeping. All in all other then the steps to carry the luggage up to 2nd floor (id ask for 1st floor next time) i would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to others.

the service and atmosphere was friendly & caring. I have arrived earlier than expected and check in wasn't till 3pm. the front desk was kind and very helpful and even allowed me to check in early. This hotel is very very clean and not very far from downtown Pittsburgh Made the commute very easy. I loved the packed breakfast they had as it was nice to bring on the Bus home. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will plan future stays..

The front desk attendant was slow and unfriendly. Parts of the building are closed off due to needing repair and seemed unsafe. The hallways smell of chlorine, mildew, and cigarette smoke. The room itself was actually okay and as aspected.

Check-in took 30-45 minutes to get a room. We just sat in lobby for that time until they found us a room. HoHorrible customer service. How do they not have a room booked for us? Room was outdated and not so clean. Will be staying elsewhere next trip to Pittsburgh.

The first room I was assigned had no cable for tv. Second room had no refrigerator, so all my food spoiled overnight. Front desk was basically unwilling to do anything to resolve. Front desk attendant seemed very uninterested in customer service, spending all her time in room behind front desk. Will never consider staying here again

Hotel is located close to downtown & Free parking are the only pros. Lot of Cons: No elevator, you need to walk up the stairs. Breakfast is on-the-go packaged breakfast which is one muffin, apple and orange juice. No other diabetic-friendly choices. Rooms are not so clean too. Sheets had stains and trash under the beds. It is not worth the $140 per day price. It looked so cheap like a $50 motel. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel is VERY convenient for visiting Pittsburgh by car, as it's 5 minutes from the main bridge going into town. We came for the Warhol Museum, easily reached. Make sure you program your car navigation system before you leave the parking lot because the spaghetti going into town is truly byzantine.

The hotel is in a convenient location just outside Pittsburgh in the hills. It is a little aged but the beds are comfortable and the night staff are excellent. We tried a couple of rooms to get a quiet one. It is located along a busy road but it was not a problem.

The staff were very accommodating but the building was apparently an old building given a cheap make-over. Although we didn't have any issues whatsoever, security in that area was obviously a concern given the cage and barriers around the hotel lobby. Great access to the highway leading into Pittsburg, though. Only 10 minutes from downtown throughout the day.

Definitely get what you pay for. The pool was not an option even tho it was enclosed. The free breakfast was essentially a brown bag with an applw and muffin. It was clean but def a 3 star at best - considering the non-existent fringe benefits

My room with a king bed was given away. I received two double beds in a room that smelled like smoke. The shower was disgusting and dirty. There was supposed to be a microwave. There was none. I thought there was going to be a continental breakfast provided but it was just a bag with a juice and an apple. Definitely would not recommend this hotel cleanliness, smell and lack of service. I will never book here again and I travel to Pittsburgh a lot

This is a BASIC hotel with no extras. Bed, TV and bathroom. The hotel is outdated and hasn’t had updates for decades. There was an unusual cleaning smell in the lobby our entire stay. Check in staff were slow and difficult to communicate with. They advertised free breakfast, which was a sack lunch with juice, water, muffin and apple. One day the apples were both rotten. Towels were requested in the evening but couldn’t be delivered until 6:00 am as they have none on site. Besides the basic hotel, there is nothing of interest in the area so without a car, you need to rely on other services to get around town for everything.

The shower alternated between scalding hot and freezing cold depending on when others were using the plumbing; there were no cups in the room to go with the coffee maker, the tissue dispenser in the room was empty, and there was no breakfast whatsoever even though the property description says there is a "light breakfast" provided.
