The room to was clean and quaint. It has a beautiful property and wish I had stayed longer to enjoy the Gardens and firepits. Was in town for Sunkissed Music Fesitval which was awesome if you missed it. Rainbow Courts was close to the venue and easy access in and out. Thank you.

The inn is just perfect for a quiet and restful stay. The grounds are so peaceful and beautiful. The inn keeper went out of his way to make sure my TV was working. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. If you are in the Rockdale area don't waste your time with the corporate motels. Try the Rainbow Courts. You won't be disappointed.

Spectacular stay! Dan & Joan are the most outgoing & friendly folks you will ever meet! Knowledgeable, & charismatic. The property is unbelievable, so comfortable. Ate our meal outside, friendly cats are around. You have to stay here!!!

This is the oldest hotel in Texas and it is so well maintained. The people are friendly and helpful. The beds are so comfortable and the air purifier lulls me to sleep with the white noise. I loved staying here! They have a beautiful courtyard and friendly cats, too! I will definitely be back there soon!

Finding a unique property with excellent reviews in the little town of Rockdale Texas was delightful! This retreat spot is over 100 years old. A comfortable room with king size bed, tv, microwave and frig and coffee maker was all we needed. However, coffee and apple cider and homemade muffins were served in the office. Before dinner at a recommended restaurant, we relaxed on the beautiful lawn in Adirondack chairs. Our only thought was how soon can we get back here for a longer stay!

This was my 4th stay at the Rainbow courts and the 3rd in the last two years. This is our come to place when we are in the Rockdale, Texas area, which is often. We like that it is not only very clean and fashionably furnished but reflects a taste of history when “motor hotels” began in the decade1918 and the growing use of automobiles.

Lovely hotel. Stayed in the Garden Room, a nicer suite. It was very plush and nice in the areas you could immediately see, but really dusty and dirty in the places you couldn’t see. The train runs every 2 hours or so about a block and 1/2 from the hotel and they lean on the horn whilst passing. If that kind of ground rumbling horn blasting noise would bother you…. Well, you don’t have many other choices in Rockdale.

This hotel is so quaint. It's extremely clean. The room was amazing. Had a little kitchenette and dining area to sit in. The bed was extremely comfortable. Two nice chairs to sit and watch TV. I would come back here again and again. The owners Dan and his wife were so kind. They put out homemade blueberry muffins in the morning that you could have with your complementary coffee. The whole experience was wonderful.

Rainbow Courts was a fantastic place to stay while exploring the area. I loved the historic Carraige House with its rich colors and comfort amenities like the jacuzzi tub, full kitchen, and king-size bed. In the morning and evening sitting on the balcony patio you can hear the train going by and if you have a good imagination you can almost picture the town and hotel as they were over a hundred years ago. We will be back!

Rainbow Courts was such a surprising and wonderful find. The property was well maintained, the room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. I actually wished we were able to spend another night there. I will definitely stay here again, if given the chance. Oh, and the banana nut muffins in the office in the morning are delicious!

We stayed here on a trip to visit Snow’s bbq. The location was easy to get to. The cottage was super cute and cozy. Has everything you need. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Snow’s BBQ.

The cottage took a little time to warm up the first night but we were comfortable. In the morning we woke and it was cold and there was no power ( though we had been happily warm in bed). So we we were moved across to another cottage which was lovely, but slightly less practical with our cases because it was separate living and bedrooms. We enjoyed great conversations with the owners and would happily stay here again.
The cottage took a little time to warm up the first night but we were comfortable. In the morning we woke and it was cold and there was no power ( though we had been happily warm in bed). So we we were moved across to another cottage which was lovely, but slightly less practical with our cases because it was separate living and bedrooms. We enjoyed great conversations with the owners and would happily stay here again.

Great quiet spot just off of downtown Rockdale. It’s an actual historic location with it being the Texas oldest active motel. Room was clean & nostalgic with a comfy feeling of staying at your favorite aunties/grannies house. Owners/managers are very friendly & try everything to help you have a great stay. Definitely will return if working in Rockdale again.

I’ve stayed here before & every time check in is a breeze! Now they recognize my name! Rooms are always top of the line. It’s great having maid service daily. Most hotels are not offering this amenity.

I really enjoyed my stay at this charming historic property. The attention to detail in the rooms, the comfortable beds and the well kept grounds were unsurpassed. The room to was clean and quaint. It has a beautiful property and wish I had stayed longer to enjoy the Gardens and firepits. Was in town for Sunkissed Music Fesitval which was awesome if you missed it. Rainbow Courts was close to the venue and easy access in and out. Thank you.

We stayed here on a trip to visit Snow’s bbq. The location was easy to get to. The cottage was super cute and cozy. Has everything you need. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Snow’s BBQ.

Rainbow Courts was such a surprising and wonderful find. The property was well maintained, the room was very clean, the bed was super comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. I actually wished we were able to spend another night there. I will definitely stay here again, if given the chance. Oh, and the banana nut muffins in the office in the morning are delicious!

This hotel is so quaint. It's extremely clean. The room was amazing. Had a little kitchenette and dining area to sit in. The bed was extremely comfortable. Two nice chairs to sit and watch TV. I would come back here again and again. The owners Dan and his wife were so kind. They put out homemade blueberry muffins in the morning that you could have with your complementary coffee. The whole experience was wonderful.

Comfortable and friendly. Sat out front on a rainy morning (after a full night’s sleep in a comfy bed) with my book, a cup of coffee, and the neighborhood cat listening to the thunder rumbling in. A delightful morning and a delightful stay.

Finding a unique property with excellent reviews in the little town of Rockdale Texas was delightful! This retreat spot is over 100 years old. A comfortable room with king size bed, tv, microwave and frig and coffee maker was all we needed. However, coffee and apple cider and homemade muffins were served in the office. Before dinner at a recommended restaurant, we relaxed on the beautiful lawn in Adirondack chairs. Our only thought was how soon can we get back here for a longer stay!

This time on my state it was not that great unfortunately my room was dirty in the bathroom there was no coffee left in the room or sugar or cream it feels like Bates motel over there now you know the movie I always have to get a room that's closest to the office which is kind of makes the parking a little inconvenient and I get a little uncomfortable because I don't like to be around people so much and I sure as heck don't like people watching everything I do so I was not very happy with this visit at the hotel and the room smelled like mold really bad I actually left with a cough and a headache because I think the mall got to me

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Air-conditioning was good and cold. Very quiet area. Wish they had bottled water in the room but overall very nice place to stay in a small town. We’ll stay there again.
