Voyager Beach Resort

The hotel facilities are great and one can spend the entire time without leaving the premises. The evening activities are superb as well and keep the guests entertained. The hotel must however prioritize the room renovations. The bathroom we had was old with an old shower head, toilet, sink, lighting etc...as well as spider web in the bathroom ceiling. Once the bathrooms are renovated, it will definitely bring the best of this otherwise great hotel!!

Amazing experience. Voyager knows how to treat its guest. Lots of entertainment and activities. Great food and selection. Staff very friendly and attentive. Loved the infinity pool was adults only. Next time I will upgrade my room.

The all-inclusive experience at this hotel was worth every penny of it. The grounds were extremely spacious with multiple swimming pools with different bars and relaxation areas. There were food options in various locations including an Italian restaurant experience poolside. The all-inclusive meal service was truly fantastic with multiple food stations some with local ethnic foods and themes from all over Africa and even the world. They had excellent fresh juices and fresh fruit in the morning for breakfast as well as an egg station and waffles and crepes every morning. I enjoyed having my poached eggs. The room we stayed in was perfect, with a porch just outside and right next to the cliffs above the crashing waves below which lulled us to sleep every night. There was a beach down below which was very picturesque and great for photo opportunities, plus there were a variety of little vendors set up selling many African memorabilia. I loved the little bar that was perched just above the ocean, very relaxing with comfortable seating and very friendly bartenders. We went there almost every night to relax and talk and enjoy a drink. It was fun watching the monkeys play on the grounds next door to this place as well. This spot is also perfect to propose to your future wife... 💗 The service was exceptional, Peter from the front desk was always super friendly and helpful. The waitress Shilla charmed me with her Shilla Special drink which she custom made for me. All

This resort is really worth it. Stayed for 6 days or so and the staff are all friendly. Yes you have one or two that have there bad days but other than that they are all amazing. I will definetly recommend this resort. The food is amazing, the beaches and the pools are as well.

Very clean hotel. Staff are amazing and quick to respond when we had issues arise. A good addition would be a gym on the property and ramps for people with bad knees.

I had a very nice and comfortable stay at Voyager Beach Resort. It's a beautiful property - the setting, the pools, the beach bar - and it is obvious that staff and the management go out of their way to be attentive to customers' needs. There are always minor things to improve (plumbing in the rooms, tastiness of some foods), but overall I highly recommend Voyager for a beach vacation on the Kenyan coast.

A little dated other than that the area itself was well-maintained. Everyone was friendly and the food good

Rooms are extremely clean, staff is very professional and the view is magical. Wide selection of different food is a plus

Outdated but also neglected. Some of the worst service I have experienced. Wrong room allocation. Rotten meat served at dinner. Rusted fridges in rooms, doors that don’t lock, Aircons that don’t work. Sagging mattresses and old beds. Poor lighting in the room. Forgotten packed breakfasts. Really bad all round. The welcome is great but once you get your room card the nightmare begins. NEVER AGAIN.

The customer service was great although the staff at the buffet dining restaurant can do better to check on needs of the guests promptly. We had to always wave them down. The rooms were always kept clean and have all the you need for the trip. The A team which is responsible for entertainment was the absolute highlight of the trip. The New Years celebrations was epic. By far the best hotel in Mombasa. I have been to 3 others. If you have kids, this is the go to place. Shout out to Ephantus the restaurant manager and Bedan the reservations manager.

The staff at property was very friendly and professional. Overall property is beautiful with the nautical theme. Rooms and amenities were, however, somewhat lacking. I got an “upgrade” to a beach front property and the room was in need of renovation especially the bathroom which had worn rusty fixtures. We had 2 rooms and the other room was in similar condition. I was there for 4nights and asked each day at the front desk and the housekeeper in person for 2 hand towels which we never got. Spent the visit with only 2 large towels. The food was just ok. They had different country themes each night but the food looked the same all the days I was there. The beach is non-existent. In fact there are signs posted that says no swimming. The “beach” is either covered in water up to the property line or is a slimy sandbar with seaweed based on the movement of the tide.

Hotellet hadde dårlig standard. Wi-Fi, Air kondisjon fungerte ikke. Det var konstruksjon arbeid i deler av hotellet. Positive var personalet som var blid og glad, og ga god service.

Good hôtel on a beach where one can not swim. Nice pools and very good service. I was impressed with John, the restaurant manager, for his professionalism and kindness. This property needs some upgrades. The shower is dated and the water pressure is very bad. The staff is kind. I liked the sorroundings, very green and lots of beautiful creatures. I was upgraded to a room facing the beach. Overall it’s a nice place. I recommend it.

The new wing was great

The first "ocean view" room I was given was down a secluded hallway at the corner of the property. Traveling alone as a woman, I didn't feel completely safe there. The view was mostly of a barbed wire fence, but you technically can see the ocean. People I knew that didn't pay for the upgrade had a better view of the ocean. I asked to move, but it took until the next day before they were able to accommodate. The second room was exactly what I expected on booking. Takeaway: if you're a woman alone, ask for a room on the second level or higher.

We had stayed here previously and been in an older room with an outstanding view. This stay we were in the new section where the room was very new and very well fitted out, still with ocean views but not as good as the previous room . The hotel was very busy and we found the service not quiet what I would've expected. I am also rethinking all inclusive as I found the drinks selection very restricted and the food just above average. Check in was slow check out a key was left in the room and we were then required to return wait for housekeeping before we could check out ,not really a good parting experience,. Surly housekeeping can just get the key when they clean the room.

Staff and service were top notch, the overall experience was wonderful, rooms need a little updating, but the staff attention more than made up for any small issues. The entertainment was fabulous, Edgar was just one of the amazing dancers and went out of his way to make our staff memorable Also Beatrice always had a warm smile and friendly greeting when we dined Highly recommended and the staff is amazing

Voyager was awesome. Stayed there for 3 nights last weekend. Food was excellent! We did all inclusive however some alcohol like tequila is not included. Otherwise, fantastic stay! Staff were so lovely and accommodating.

It was a very unpleasant experience. Upon check-out, we requested an invoice, which is standard practice at nearly all hotels, regardless of whether the booking was made through an online travel agency or directly with the property. However, the male cashier firmly refused, stating that since payment was made to Expedia, the hotel could not issue an invoice. He also declined to provide any documentation confirming our stay and instead advised us to "sue Expedia." As we were traveling for business, a stamped invoice was essential for accounting purposes. We spent nearly 40 minutes trying to resolve the issue, and I came close to missing my flight. Eventually, another female cashier issued a booking confirmation, but the entire experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. Despite the resolution, the lack of professionalism and courtesy left a lasting negative impression. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property to colleagues or friends.

This hotel is amazing, staff are so friendly and attentive. Nothing we too much trouble. We only stayed for one night but wished we could have stayed longer. The views from the hotel of the beach were amazing and the food was good. They do have a snack bar serving kids meals but would have been good to have kids food on the buffet too so families could eat together

Liked - Charming property, friendly staff, fun activities, good food options. Disliked - load music at night, drinks were not made the same by all staff, some were not very good.

Overall we enjoyed the stay. We had an all inclusive rate. Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach was wonderful. My only complaint would be food service is extremely slow.

Old property needs renovation especially bathrooms. Shower not functioning correctly. Food is very mediocre, not so much of the beach On the plus Beautiful pools all 3 of them,really nice staff and great service, fresh coconuts from the tree, good water aerobics and great dance performances by the team. Lot of quite areas Great place to just relax at the pool and under the trees.
