Ich war schon mal in diesem Hotel und es gab in der Zwischenzeit tatsächlich einige Verbesserungen (Reparaturen am Pool, mehr Sonnenschirme am Strand, neue Tücher am Pool, funktionierende Duschen am Strand). Leider war dieses Mal das Spa ohne vorherige Meldung nicht in Betrieb und auch die Qualität wie das Angebot der Buffets haben sich nicht verbessert. Aber es gibt genügend gute Restaurants in der Umgebung und natürlich ist auch der Golfplatz sehr Nahe. Auch noch positiv ist die Freundlichkeit der meisten Mitarbeiter.

We liked the group activities like water polo. There was variety of food during dinner. Most of the staff were friendly and the lady at reception ensured we got the honeymoon compliment. They also upgraded our room from standard to deluxe at no extra cost.

Hotel is not a 5star but a 3star. Everything need a turnover. The staff was excellent. One pool and the spa was closed during our stav,it was one of the reson why we booked this hotel.

Great location but the web site is not reflecting the current condition. The hotel and pool, gardens, accommodation all require total renovation and maintenance. The hotel suite was dated, poor condition, missing tiles in bathroom, mouldy and generally very tired. The cleaners worked hard and the staff were friendly but apparently the owners are interested in spending the money that is required to refurbish the hotel and ammenities. The pool bar is empty has no glasses, drinks or staff. The food is disappointing, cold, incorrect many times and quality overall below par. The menu was very limited and generally the food tasteless. Really wish we didn’t book the hotel and definitely not full board. We reported several times to the staff but apparently the Chef advised he didn’t care what the customers said he only reported to his boss. To make it worse the cleaner didn’t lock the patio doors on one occasion and the suite was invaded by monkeys that took everything from fruit, crisps, chocolate, drinks etc… defecated all over the suite, broke glasses and left monkey blood on the floor, bedding, bathroom, etc is was disgusting and took the cleaners 3hrs to clean…. All the affected clothes had to be specially cleaned and as a result I received an infection to my hands resulting in horrible blisters and now been treated by the Tropical Disease Center in London. Sadly there are much better hotels close by that we visited and wish we hadn’t paid upfront.

Location is excellent as right on the beach. As it’s a resort there’s a lot of kids and also lots of live entertainment which may be a distraction if you want some quiet. Rooms are a bit old and the amenities don’t always work. The water in the tap and shower is very salty and so feels rather uncomfortable. Even the sheets smell of salt! Excellent buffets if part of your package. Beware of the monkeys! They grab your food whilst dining!

Beetje gedateerd maar schoon hotel met goede airco en de vleugel waar onze kamer aan lag had helemaal geen last van geluiden. Ik ben rug patiënt en vond het een zeer acceptabel bed. Heerlijk strand, parasols met wat afstand ertussen waardoor privacy. Beperkt aantal goede bedden waardoor helaas wel iedereen voor het ontbijt al gin 'handdoekje leggen'. Daar moet je dan uiteindelijk wel aan meedoen want anders heb je een slecht bedje of geen bedje.

Best vacation EVER!... Where do I begin... This resort far exceeded our expectations, in so many ways... We looked forward to each and every day that we were there, and we really hated to leave... First and foremost, the staff was excellent... The food 😋 was soo good... All three meals were buffet style and each meal had so many choices... There were mini bars throughout the resort, to include being served on the beach... Lastly, but certainly not the least, were the beautiful monkeys, who were so gentle... We can't wait to return next vacation, and we will definitely stay much longer... Thanks for the opportunity to share...

Every member of the team was warm, attentive and incredibly professional – nothing was ever too much trouble. What stood out most for us was how personal the service felt: friendly smiles, remembering our preferences, and always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. They created a relaxed, homely atmosphere while still being very efficient. The room was spotless and well presented, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the facilities are excellent – but it’s really the people who take this hotel to another level. We left feeling very well cared for and would happily return. Highly recommended.

The hotel looks, from the outside, like paradise - well built, connected to the environment, beautiful spaces. Unfortunately, this ends when you enter the rooms - clearly left from the 1970s and despite the really immense efforts by the staff to maintain them, they are really, really old. Oxidised metal surfaces, doors not closing, crumbling ceiling panels, rock-hard mattresses, a pervasive smell of damp. Some surfaces obviously are damaged enough and are simply painted over. No hot water throughout the morning (usually only available after 2pm) and the water was (because it's desalinated) horrible to the taste. Also, breakfast was bland, most of the time cold and largely flavourless. BUT, the staff are mostly amazing, friendly and they will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

Hospitable staff and excellent service. The property is not new but still in good shape. We saw monkeys hoping in the big coconut trees from our balcony (seaview). Everything is clean including swimming pool, nice fresh air. We hopped on tuktuk (three wheel motorbikes) to the town (about 2km away) for forex and shopping. We detested the salty shower at first but got used it eventually (just don't drink it).

Room had a few tiny roaches in the bathroom. We only stayed 1 night so no terrible. Grounds are nice and clean. Staff very helpfu and attentive. The monkeys stealing food seems to be a bit out of control.

The hotel looks, from the outside, like paradise - well built, connected to the environment, beautiful spaces. Unfortunately, this ends when you enter the rooms - clearly left from the 1970s and despite the really immense efforts by the staff to maintain them, they are really, really old. Oxidised metal surfaces, doors not closing, crumbling ceiling panels, rock-hard mattresses, a pervasive smell of damp. Some surfaces obviously are damaged enough and are simply painted over. No hot water throughout the morning (usually only available after 2pm) and the water was (because it's desalinated) horrible to the taste. Also, breakfast was bland, most of the time cold and largely flavourless. BUT, the staff are mostly amazing, friendly and they will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable.

After 6 Days of Safari we were looking forward to some comfort as it seemed to be a 5* Hotel. We were a bit disappointed, the Hotel facility is really old, pool is so-lala, the rooms are not in a good condition, we had to change room as not even TV was working. also, very salty water (we have been told its normal in Diani though) and it was quite noisy until late at night. The buffet was OK, but really not what you expect from a 5* hotel - and i am aware you can not compare to europe - but if you do, its really a 3* hotel. The best thing was the staff - super friendly although a bit slow at time..but thats ok, its holidays. however, i would not come back here as too many small things were not as expected. if you book and expect a 3* hotel, you might enjoy it but dont expect a 5* facility here.

Me and my wife loved the stay there. The rooms were cool after a long day in the sun, the beds were very comfortable and the staff were all very friendly. The food and bars on the resort are the best we’ve had at a hotel.

Hotel is not a 5star but a 3star. Everything need a turnover. The staff was excellent. One pool and the spa was closed during our stav,it was one of the reson why we booked this hotel.

Location is excellent as right on the beach. As it’s a resort there’s a lot of kids and also lots of live entertainment which may be a distraction if you want some quiet. Rooms are a bit old and the amenities don’t always work. The water in the tap and shower is very salty and so feels rather uncomfortable. Even the sheets smell of salt! Excellent buffets if part of your package. Beware of the monkeys! They grab your food whilst dining!

Beetje gedateerd maar schoon hotel met goede airco en de vleugel waar onze kamer aan lag had helemaal geen last van geluiden. Ik ben rug patiënt en vond het een zeer acceptabel bed. Heerlijk strand, parasols met wat afstand ertussen waardoor privacy. Beperkt aantal goede bedden waardoor helaas wel iedereen voor het ontbijt al gin 'handdoekje leggen'. Daar moet je dan uiteindelijk wel aan meedoen want anders heb je een slecht bedje of geen bedje.

From the moment we arrived at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and looked after. Every member of the team was warm, attentive and incredibly professional – nothing was ever too much trouble. What stood out most for us was how personal the service felt: friendly smiles, remembering our preferences, and always checking that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. They created a relaxed, homely atmosphere while still being very efficient. The room was spotless and well presented, the grounds are beautifully kept, and the facilities are excellent – but it’s really the people who take this hotel to another level. We left feeling very well cared for and would happily return. Highly recommended.

I don't know how you make your VIP rating because for me the service was only just above average. I spoke with reception about the lack of any hot, even warm water, and finally on the last day got lukewarm water. Meals improved markedly once it went to buffet style. I was also charged 3000 KSH more than the price on there price list for a snorkeling trip and then when inquiring about a jetski ride found them to be 3000 KSH more expensive than the one I found just down the beach. Overall I don't think it was very good value for money.

Der Service war exzellent, sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen das Hotel auf alle Fälle weiter! Das Essen war ebenfalls sehr gut! Für uns perfekt. Zu meinem Geburtstag hat man unser Zimmer schön dekoriert und am Abend gab es sogar noch eine kleine Geburtstagstorte inklusive einem Happy Birthday vom Service! Herzlichen Dank.

Ingen gold fordeler selv om de reklamerer om dette. 8 netter tur Resepsjon: dårlig mottagelse, ingen svar på gold medlemskap og ingen interesse og finne ut avtalen om dette. Rom standar: helt ok langt fra 5 stjerner, slitent rom. Dusj: hotellet har ikke varmt vann, dusjen kan bli en kald opplevelse. Frokost: den var god standar. Basseng : 2 bassenger, 1 med bar i. Ok løsning. Stranden : stor forskjell på høyt og lav vann, flott strand. Vakthold : mye folk , som jobber med orden. Kveldsshow : utrolig koselig. Resturant/ bar: de vanner ut gin og selger .mye de ikke har selv om det står på mat eller vin liste. Er sånn halvveis, dyr mat og dårlig kvalitet i forhold til Resturanter innenfor 5 min fra hotellet. Dette hotellet synes ikke beskjeder og tilbake meldinger er noe viktig, gir ikke svar på henvendelser. Oppgradering av rom, fikk vi ikke svar på fra onsdag til mandag, selv om vi henvendte oss flere ganger, safen var ødelagt og måte henvende oss flere ganger over 1 1/2 døgn. Am glad I chose diani reef for my stay and do I'll give it 10/10 from very friendly staff that ensure your comfort, the view from the hotel is awesome the rooms,the beach and everything... I'd reconsider it upon return😊

Hospitable staff and excellent service. The property is not new but still in good shape. We saw monkeys hoping in the big coconut trees from our balcony (seaview). Everything is clean including swimming pool, nice fresh air. We hopped on tuktuk (three wheel motorbikes) to the town (about 2km away) for forex and shopping. We detested the salty shower at first but got used it eventually (just don't drink it).

Great location but the web site is not reflecting the current condition. The hotel and pool, gardens, accommodation all require total renovation and maintenance. The hotel suite was dated, poor condition, missing tiles in bathroom, mouldy and generally very tired. The cleaners worked hard and the staff were friendly but apparently the owners are interested in spending the money that is required to refurbish the hotel and ammenities. The pool bar is empty has no glasses, drinks or staff. The food is disappointing, cold, incorrect many times and quality overall below par. The menu was very limited and generally the food tasteless. Really wish we didn’t book the hotel and definitely not full board. We reported several times to the staff but apparently the Chef advised he didn’t care what the customers said he only reported to his boss. To make it worse the cleaner didn’t lock the patio doors on one occasion and the suite was invaded by monkeys that took everything from fruit, crisps, chocolate, drinks etc… defecated all over the suite, broke glasses and left monkey blood on the floor, bedding, bathroom, etc is was disgusting and took the cleaners 3hrs to clean…. All the affected clothes had to be specially cleaned and as a result I received an infection to my hands resulting in horrible blisters and now been treated by the Tropical Disease Center in London. Sadly there are much better hotels close by that we visited and wish we hadn’t paid upfront.

Location is excellent as right on the beach. As it’s a resort there’s a lot of kids and also lots of live entertainment which may be a distraction if you want some quiet. Rooms are a bit old and the amenities don’t always work. The water in the tap and shower is very salty and so feels rather uncomfortable. Even the sheets smell of salt! Excellent buffets if part of your package. Beware of the monkeys! They grab your food whilst dining!

The rooms And facilities are outdated compared to the photos online , maintenance required. The beach was really nice, and the restaurant on the beach had good service & food. Overpriced resort for the current condition

Best vacation EVER!... Where do I begin... This resort far exceeded our expectations, in so many ways... We looked forward to each and every day that we were there, and we really hated to leave... First and foremost, the staff was excellent... The food 😋 was soo good... All three meals were buffet style and each meal had so many choices... There were mini bars throughout the resort, to include being served on the beach... Lastly, but certainly not the least, were the beautiful monkeys, who were so gentle... We can't wait to return next vacation, and we will definitely stay much longer... Thanks for the opportunity to share...

Ingen gold fordeler selv om de reklamerer om dette. 8 netter tur Resepsjon: dårlig mottagelse, ingen svar på gold medlemskap og ingen interesse og finne ut avtalen om dette. Rom standar: helt ok langt fra 5 stjerner, slitent rom. Dusj: hotellet har ikke varmt vann, dusjen kan bli en kald opplevelse. Frokost: den var god standar. Basseng : 2 bassenger, 1 med bar i. Ok løsning. Stranden : stor forskjell på høyt og lav vann, flott strand. Vakthold : mye folk , som jobber med orden. Kveldsshow : utrolig koselig. Resturant/ bar: de vanner ut gin og selger .mye de ikke har selv om det står på mat eller vin liste. Er sånn halvveis, dyr mat og dårlig kvalitet i forhold til Resturanter innenfor 5 min fra hotellet. Dette hotellet synes ikke beskjeder og tilbake meldinger er noe viktig, gir ikke svar på henvendelser. Oppgradering av rom, fikk vi ikke svar på fra onsdag til mandag, selv om vi henvendte oss flere ganger, safen var ødelagt og måte henvende oss flere ganger over 1 1/2 døgn. Hotel sjef fikset etter direkte kontakt 3 dager igjen oppgradering Dette hotellet setter ikke gjester øverst på listen. Velvære avdeling: har ikke produkter og det er ikke mulig å f.eks farge hår hos frisøren uten 5 dager vente tid. Badehåndkle: utrolig lite og som oftest tomt Hotellet har en standar som er langt fra 5 stjerner.om det er et sterkt 3 stjerner er nok mer riktig. Rolig beliggenhet . The staffs are friendly and good. Specially Paula and Joel they were really helpful. But the resort has aged quite a lot .The TV was not working the Spa is out of service. Only one of the restaurants are working. There is no swimming past 6:30PM which is quite early to close the pool. Their breakfast is mid. Also I recommend not to go there on the off peak season there is no activity to do except for the same thing you will find outside of the resort.

I stayed there recently for 4 night and it was my second time there. We had a half board (breaktfast and dinner). The buffets were good but not great however the a la carte choices for lunch were great ( and I would highly recommend the Cobb Salad or the BLT!). The room was fine however the warm in the shower was warm but never close to hot. The staff were very good.

We stayed for a total of 4 nights in March, 2026. Our room was good however the room cleaning was in the afternoon rather than the morning. We had half board and the buffet food was good but not great. The a la carte food was very good. The water in the shower was warm but never hot which was disappointing. The beach area was very nice however often all the loungers were taken. The staff were very good.
