Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albany

I didn't take any photos, the room wasn't worth it, everyone from staff that talked to us was beyond rude, the rooms weren't even cleaned properly, we stayed for a few weeks as we had no other choice, brought our own cleaning supplies and deep cleaned on our own and found several wrappers and a pacifier even that clearly didn't belong to us as our youngest child is nearly 10 and never even used a pacifier, they don't have the pool they claim to have and haven't in well over a year, there breakfast is a joke and should only be called a snack at best, and the fitness room they brag about is 2 machines. They should be sued for false advertising.

There isn't a pool to use, the excercise room is 2 machines, the breakfast is more of a snack, and the room wasn't very clean when we got here.

One downfall was that the vehicule charging stations were out of order.

This Hotel didnt have the bateoom cleaned at all, the floors were Filthy, some outlets didnt even work,didn't have a coffee pot or a hair dryer. Pool and spa have been shut down since Covid. They have bums hanging out in the empty lobby. Was not happy overall.

It had snowed and snow removal was non existent

Pretty good property for the price. Convenient location. Needs some renovations. Pool closed without notice and appears permanent. Fitted sheet was on inside out. Very weird. Very sloppy. Parking lot not plowed. That said. It was relatively clean. The bed was comfortable. The water was hot. Shower had good pressure. Spacious. Towels were in great shape. Front desk agent was accommodating and didn’t dawdle. I’ll go back.

Office should be marked better. Some stairs were blocked

This property is very rundown and poorly managed. The room smelled like smoke and the bathroom door lacked a lock. The pool has been out of operation since COVID until now, April 2024.

Pool wasnt working overall dirty

Walls were patched and badly done. Ceiling had seams of drywall and coverings peeling. No soap or options for toiletries. No central light in the room. Low water pressure. Facilities and vending machines in very poor state. Would not have guessed it was a Days Inn at all. This location is privately owned and no longer a function of the chain name.

This hotel is so dirty The showerhead wasn’t working I had to bathe with the ice bucket. They didn’t have soap for bathing and there was no hand soap. Furthermore the people from the other rooms were using the hallway as a living room since they were talking amongst themselves and making noise very load and the smells of marijuana was terrible The room was dirty and worst of all, it was infested with cockroaches Staying in this hotel was the worst experience I’ve ever had

The room had fleas, the door did not lock - neither the deadbolt nor the security latch. To say I felt unsafe is an understatement. Unfortunately, I had COVID and was too sick to move. The vent cover in the bathroom was hanging by a thread, and it was scary. There were large gaps a rodent could easily get through, and the property is a disaster.

The room was so dirty that the hotel should have been closed. We photographed everything! There were bed bugs! Mold in the ventilation! Dirty smeared mattresses! The floor was sticky and there were dried drinks stains. There were splashes of dirt on all the walls, everywhere! The bathroom was a horror and super disgusting! Toilet dirty, paint chipped off the walls. Shower defective and did not work! Dirty sink! We had booked the room for 2 nights but left immediately after the first night. This was an imposition and the health department and travel department should close this hotel! Wyndham shame on you for not living up to your name. We are happy to make all photos available!

Very dirty rooms, not clean beds and there was a bunch of dirt underneath the bed which was disgusting

The room was dirty when first entered room, hair on floor, bathtub not clean, floors dirty and didn’t look like it had been mopped in weeks, smelled like 12 pack of cigarettes in room when I asked for nonsmoking and killed several roaches in room.

The dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The room was not clean.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room, hallways and elevator were filthy. We had cockroaches and dead insect parts all over the room and bed. I wish I took more pictures of them. I asked for a refund and was denied. I guess they think the infestation is acceptable.

Place was nasty housekeeper didn't clean reused sheets that weren't clean

The room weas dirty at check in. There was a part of a used razor in the shower, broken ceiling in the bathroom, floor not properly cleaned, "remains of dirty" inside the toilet and even still remains of toothpaste in the sink... The moment i went to the reception to ask for a new room, all they said was we don\'t have more, and only give me email of GM and totally ignored me. In the check out was the same. I couldn\'t ask for a cancellation because it was late at night and I needed to sleep after a long drive.

From the first look it was clean but tub was very dirty purchased my own cleaning products and hallway smelled like cigarettes. Later in the night started seeing roaches in the bathroom

The bed was very comfortable. The pillows were Excellent and the air condition work perfectly

The room was spacious and clean, though it had a musty smell on arrival and some dampness that could be felt in the sheets. That said, the beds were very comfortable and nice to sleep in, and there was a good selection of television stations to stay entertained. I was startled awake when a young child banged on my door and tried the handle after confusing my room for theirs. It was surprising to see a 6-7 year old running unsupervised in the hallways around 9 PM. The neighbors were noisy, and cigarette smoke carried into the hallway. Breakfast was advertised, but the actual options were just granola bars and prepackaged fruit cups, which was disappointing since I had several hours of travel ahead and, being unfamiliar with the area, had to find a more suitable meal elsewhere. Despite these issues, the overall stay was pleasant.

Big spacious property, my room with 2 queen beds also big and spacious, and clean. The building is old, I can smell meth in the hallway to the room, maybe one of the guests is using. No coffee pot in the room so I had to go to the lobby to get one, juice, bars, and fruit cups are all the breakfast available in the lobby. And all shutdown at 10 AM. For budget stay this is ok.

The bed was lopsided. It leaned down at the head of the bed. Every time I moved it made a noise. I had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed. The walls were thin. The tv was so small you could not see it. The small frig in the room was scratched and dented. All of the furniture was mismatched. The bathroom sink was cracked. No soap in the soap dispencer. We heard our neighbor all night watching tv and coughing. You could see places in the wall that were patched and the ceiling paint was peeling in places. Place was a total dump! Do not stay there!

Best rates and rooms are spacious and clean. Have stayed here for 2 nights over the past 2 months for work and it has been great. No complaints and rooms are good for what you are paying for.

Staff at check in were friendly. There were people hanging out in the hall way and playing music at 12:30 AM. The “no-smoking” building also smelled like stale cigarettes.

It was affordable and the rooms were nice and comfortable.

I barely had any bedding and the shower controls were reversed for hot and cold. The door latch was hard to lock. Otherwise, temperature control in room was great, a lot of space in the room.

This place needs an upgrade. The stains on the walls, in the carpet, and on the shower curtain looks horrible. The tv is little. The chairs in my rooms were peeling. One room did not have the couch like it should've.

When I checked in the front desk clerk told me I had to pay $10 cash to park. I asked him why and he said because we booked through Expedia. After I paid my aunt asked him again why we had to pay $10. He told her for tax. He said since we booked through Expedia we had to pay him $10 for tax. We dropped off our belongings in the room and went to dinner. When we returned to our room I pulled the curtains shut and noticed 2 bugs fell. I smashed 1 of the bugs then got a better look at the 2nd bug and noticed it was a cockroach! I pulled the corner of the sheet bed up to look at the mattress and saw black specks! Shined a light on it to get a better view and saw crusty black and white flacks…. Then another cockroach ran out from the sheet. We grabbed out bags and went to the front desk. I told the clerk we were leaving because of the cockroach’s and I wanted my $10 back. He offered to place us in a “premium room”. I asked if it came with premium cockroaches because they travel and this place is infested. He returned my $10 cash. I asked for a refund and he said he could not refund my stay. I’m requesting a refund. We contacted on to our destination over 4 hours away.

I called ahead of time to ask if they had a travel crib available- they had said they did. We arrived at 12am and I checked in and asked about the crib and they said they didn’t have one.

Upon arrival I had an easy check -in. Went to room and dropped off bags and left to go explore and eat out. Didn’t get back to the room until 10:30 pm, 3 hours after arriving. Upon entering the room we could smell pot and cigarette. The bathroom door was dysfunctional. It took all my weight to open and close it as it was dragging along the tile floor. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for a different room and was reprimanded by the clerk, asked why I waited 3 hours after check in and was informed we had 10 minutes to report issues after check in. I asked if smoking was allowed and he answered no but refused to go investigate who was smoking stating “it wasn’t his job”. Sadly no other rooms were available. I was scheduled to stay two nights but decided to check out the next morning cutting our stay short. Very disappointed with this establishment. Will never recommend and highly suggest others to read reviews regarding the smoking if you don’t smoke.

The experience was good we stayed here for a few weeks while we looked for a new apartment and the staff was always friendly and accommodating prices were good and it made a stressful transition much easier on us

My door would not open with the key. I went to the front desk he scan the cards again. I went back to the door and the keys didn’t work. Went back to the front desk and the clerk came to the room with a screw driver and opened the mechanism with the batteries all out in the open. He opened the door and then left. As I left the room the key didn’t work. He never tried the key or changed the batteries. I didn’t feel comfortable in the area. Seems like a lot of sketchy stuff happening. The comforter had burn stains. I left right away. I did not feel safe . Especially after the door was opened with a screwdriver

Upon arriving to our hotel, the area looked nice and the hotel itself was updated and great. The staff was less than inviting, but I looked passed it as we had been driving for a while and I wanted to get to my room. The front desk proceeded to tell us that we had to LEAVE THE HOTEL to get to our hotel? I was already upset by this and then once we got to our room, it was not what we had booked. We had specifically asked for a king-sized suite with a jacuzzi in the room and what we got was a room with a king sized bed, but no jacuzzi. I called front desk and the clerk was extremely rude with me, telling me that I was wrong and that he wasn’t going to help me in any way and then he hung up on me! I wasn’t being rude or mean, I was simply asking for help as this is not what we had booked. On top of the terrible service and the fact that this is not what we paid for, the room was disgusting. The bathroom was dirty, the bed was stained, the fridge did not work and the TV did not work. I called a second time to ask about the fridge and TV and the clerk told me there was nothing they could do and hung up again. Needless to say, we will not be returning and I would really suggest finding a different hotel. The pictures they use for their site are false advertising as none of it is accurate.

No housekeeping, no toilet paper or tissues in room. When attempting to contact the front desk, the phone did not work. When we finally got it to work, no one answered

Easy check in and the staff accommodated the needs of the person traveling with me.

I did not expect luxury from a Day's Inn, but this was worse than most. Needed a late check-in, so I called ahead four times, letting it ring for almost three minutes each time without anyone answering the phone. There was no soap in the bathroom sink or the shower, and no facial tissue. There was a toilet plunger next to the toilet. The bathtub was dirty, and the shower controls were so damaged that they nearly fell off. I was finally able to get hot water in the shower after a few tries. The stair leading to the second floor were also dirty, with coffee cups and spilt coffee on them. No elevator. When I went to the front desk to ask for soap, they gave me a little bar -- no shampoo. They also offered toilet tissue instead of facial tissue. I declined. "Breakfast" was only juice (I had OJ) a coffee (no cream, no milk, no artificial sweetner). Tea bags were available. They had sugar and powdered creamer. The only food was granola bars -- almost like candy bars. A garbage can for trash was on top of the breakfast bar, not on the floor. No tables for sitting. The bed, tv, and fridge were fine. The room phone was not plugged into the phone line, so I had to find the line and connect it. The price was inexpensive, but I still expected better basic service. And soap.

Didn't stay, called to cancel, was told it was all OK. Was charged several times despite not staying. Called to speak to manager and got the run around, emailed the manager with no reply, called again. After 5th call left my name and number and never received a call back. Currently working with my bank to dispute the charges. NEVER GO HERE

Wondeful hotel near plenty of shops and food options.

When I saw where this hotel was, and drove around the property and the next door property, I realized that I did not feel safe there, with the type of ' people' hanging out around the property. As I had prepaid, to get a cheaper hotel room for the night, I knew that I wouldnt be able to get a refund. So, I chose a much nicer location, nearby. So, remember- outward appearance, and safety issues of a neighborhood, ARE important for anyone wanting to stay. I will never take a Wyndham property, again.

Property is dirty, run down, and not anything like it seems in the photos on their webpage. Our first room smelled of stale cigarettes, so we asked to be moved. The pet fee was excessive, especially considering how dirty and unkempt the rooms are. Very dodgy part of town, lots of long term renters in the complex.

We had a good rest and the Mexican restaurant next door was the perfect place for dinner.

Great location. Fell in love with Umi Seafood Buffet during my stay here.

Wouldn’t recommend a family or single woman to stay here, hotel appears to be a refugee / asylum housing facility. Quite rowdy at night and unclean with faulty door locks. Cheap place you get what you pay for

Part of hotel I stayed in was far from registration desk and all doors were left wide open for just anyone to walk into. It felt unsafe in a city environment.

The hotel is located along the public transportation route and convenient to shopping mall also a short distance to Airport.

The area is safe, convenient to shop and multiple dining options available.

Well located from H87, easily accessible. Generally quiet patrons go there when in need of a break between point A and B. Clean and confortable, the room had a view on the parking, which allowed me to check my motorcycle once in a while; this is Albany after all, right ?! One downside for me was the ubiquitous cigarette odor everywhere. I tried « La fiesta » just across the parking, the restaurant was honest and clean.

The breakfast consisted of spoiled orange juice and fruit cups

The hotel bathroom was very, very dirty.And while I know it's not something the hotel could control, there happened to be a motorcycle group who decided to do burnouts in the driveway at eleven thirty at night. The breakfast consisted of literally only mandarin orange cups and chewy granola bars.

At this price point the room was fine, in generally good condition although the mattress covers had some significant stains. There were two issues causing my low rating. Breakfast was supposed to be included but consisted of two flavors of granola bars and Dole fruit cups. I wasn't expecting much but at least bagels or muffins and some fresh fruit are pretty standard. The second, more frustrating issue was that we were unable to shower due to a lack of water pressure. That is a deal breaker so I will not book here again.

The room is spacious and clean, but the TV remote control is defective, there is no bath gel and no hand soap in dispensers at the bathroom. They advertised c continental breakfast that didn't exist except for a rotten outdated fruit salad and granola bars.

It says « breakfast included » but we were then told it’s only coffee and orange juice. We chose this motel especially because breakfast was included…not nice.

Whole place needs deep cleaning. Pool still closed even though COVID restrictions are long over. The included breakfast was coffee and tea and a small baby granola bar.
