Shortly after arriving the hot water went off and stayed that way for two days. We were told all sorts of stories, from engineers on site repairing ‘now’ to caused by the digging work outside (which we were not advised about) to being repaired the day be fore we left. It was only on that update that we insisted we were relocated to another 4 star hotel in the area at the hotel’s expense. Then suddenly the water was fixed! As compensation we were emailed and told we would not be charged for the only breakfast we had in the hotel! Not exactly an equal compensation. To add insult to injury the hotel insisted on charging breakfast on departure and it took 10 minutes for them to understand their manager had waived it. By which time we were late for out taxi and were charged a waiting fee! We come to Paris regularly but this hotel was a big disappointment. It tries to be grand, but it isn’t.

When we checked in, I was told I had to pay a tax of a little over $100. Don’t know why that wasn’t disclosed on Travelocity. They also had no AC running and the heat wouldn’t turn off so they had to send a technician to kill the breaker. We just kept the windows open to keep the place cool. It worked, but that meant a lot of street noise and also no heat in the early morning when it was cold. Hotel staff were very polite and responsive.

This Hotel had very attentive staff and was very keen on quality of stay. It is very clean and comfortable. My son and I played Foosball everyday in their lounge area. They had an honesty bar were you can create your own drinks. The junior Suite we stayed in was very comfortable. I normally hate pullout beds, but i slept well on it surprisingly. The elevator went out of service for 2 days which led to grueling 6 floor walk up, but they accomodated us with complimentary macarons, madelines, etc and chilled champagne for the troubles. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby, and thebLouvre is around the corner. We walked to Eiffel tower, Louvre, Saint Chapelle, Notredame, Jardin de Luxembourg, etc. We walked up and down Rue St Honore, and many other main streets of central Paris. La Clef was a great choice to stay.

Unfortunately, the elevator at the hotel was broken for two days out of the four - so this did not help given I had senior citizen parents with me. It was a big let down. The rooms are nice definitely larger than typical of Paris hotel rooms unless you go to a larger brand name. But I just don’t think it’s worth staying here again because of it I’d rather go to a standard large hotel brand.

This is our second stay at La Clef Louvre and we’ll be back. It’s a great place. Rooms are comfy and it’s so nice to have the space to relax after a long day of sight-seeing. We were on a two-week vacation and it was great to have a washer/dryer in the room. The kitchen is perfect for having breakfast in the room (baguette, cheese, and fruit every morning😉)

This was our honeymoon. The hotel never informed us there would be roadworks outside the main entrance. This also resulted in NO water on the first night and barely any water on the second day. There was no hot water for the entire stay. We decided to check out at 7pm on the second night as the hotel could not guarantee any water. This was all very disappointing and not in keeping with a 5* hotel. I have asked the hotel for a full refund and expect hotels.com to refund me in full next week.

En general no se destacan por el servicio , la Sra que está en el desayuno es grosera, desayuno costoso susceptible de mejorar. The hotel is nice, the rooms are spacious and the staff is friendly. It’s right next to the Louvre and within walking distance to many other attractions. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes close by. The room was comfortable and having a well equipped kitchenette was nice. We would definitely stay at La Clef again.

Amazing location. The kitchens in the rooms are well appointed and so perfect. Grocery stores is literally one block away. Quiet rooms. The mattresses should be upgraded - definitely not terrible. But not a luxury hotel mattress. But otherwise perfect stay.

My wife and I stayed here for a few days when celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. The hotel is located just a 5 mins walk from the Louvre but is tucked away from the busyness of that area. We got the train from CDG and walked from the nearest station. It was about a 13-15 min walk with a suitcase and was absolutely fine. Upon arrival were greeted by lovely staff when we arrived, offered a drink and shown all of the facilities around the lobby. We had booked a premier suite which was lovely - we had told them we were celebrating our anniversary so were greeted to a bottle of champagne, a box of fudge, balloons and rose petals everywhere which was such a nice touch! The room had a little kitchenette with all you would need to cook for a couple (though we didn't use it) and a washing machine. The bed was actually two beds pushed together - we would have preferred a double bed, but it was fine, and the giant round top bath in the room was gorgeous! It also had a decent size en suite with a large walk in shower. We were really surprised by how quiet it was with the windows shut as there is a busy cross junction just 30m from the hotel, but we couldn't hear it at all. They have a help your self/honesty bar in the lobby which was a really nice touch, though we didn't use it as we were out and about most of the time. The hotel is in a great location and most tourist places are walkable if you are willing to. Would absolutely stay here again!

Very nice room with living area and nice kitchen. Lovely decor. Newly renovated. V nice staff. Only 2 problems: the pillows were uncomfortable and the street noise was v bad. We were on the third floor and were woken up two days at 7 AM by Construction. Also, Friday night there were drunk people yelling and loud music until 5 AM. Difficult to sleep. The hotel is on a busy square.

Beware! I prepaid for my room weeks in advance, and paid a premium for the location. They sent me an email a day before my arrival, stating that they overbooked the hotel and moved me to the Le Clef Tour Eiffel, in an area of town that was much more inconvenient. They refused to offer me any compensation in any way - no free breakfast, no room upgrade, nothing. I was shocked by this treatment and lack of any customer service for a problem they admitted was solely their fault. And their mistake cost me extra in time and transportation costs. I had stayed at the Le Clef Louvre on a previous trip and loved the location. But they won’t guarantee you a room, even if you pay them in advance.

Most receptionist were friendly however the gentleman was standoffish, unhelpful and very rude. The sofa bed was not made up and products only for 2 people not 4, not enough blankets and given that it is supposed be a 5 star, every request made we were made to feel like it was too troublesome. Would not stay again.

The staff at Le clef make it an extraordinary stay. The area is busy and noisy and they don’t have AC in the winter (they do have heat but we like it chilly) but that did not take away from an amazing experience. The unit is newly renovated and pristine in every way, the hotel is located in a prime zone, has a beautiful comfortable lobby and the staff is simply stellar. Especially Yelitza and the gentleman at the front desk in the evenings. Amazing experience. Particularly recommended highly for families with children.

Our stay was excellent. Perfect place for a family- walking distance to everything. Thought my phone was lost and the team was incredibly helpful especially Ekaterina. When it was located they sent a taxi with it to the airport. Very grateful. That’s five star service.
