We loved our stay here and would definitely stay here again when in Nice. Location was great within a 5 minute walk to the centre of town. The staff were super friendly and on hand if needed (A big thank you to Alex and Moreen). The room was great (we booked the delixe with balcony overlooking the pool and courtyard area). The rooms were clean and very comfortable and adequate for a city break stay.

Bon hôtel sans parking avec juste une place devant ( si elle est libre). Parking de la gare à proximité mais onéreux. Bon accueil. Belles chambres avec un style particulier. Salle de bain avec toilettes beaucoup trop petite et à renover. Petit-déjeuner trop simple.

Lovely stay, staff were really friendly, coffee, squash,water and biscuits available at all times. Plenty of choice at breakfast. Tiny gripe is no real milk at coffee station in your room or through the day as its milk powder but this is only a tiny thing. Hotel is 5 mins from train st so easy access to Cannes/monaco etc. 20 min walk to old town and the sea front!

Staff were excellent as well as the breakfast! Gutted we didn’t get a chance to use the pool area especially as the new garden furniture had just arrived! Good excuse to visit again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️½ (3.5 stars) We stayed at Hôtel Excelsior by HappyCulture for five nights. The location is a big plus — just a few minutes’ walk from the Nice-Ville train station, making it convenient for day trips to nearby destinations like Èze or Monte Carlo. The hotel also provides a complimentary filtered water and coffee station, which is a thoughtful touch. The front desk staff were consistently helpful and professional throughout our stay. However, the room setup left much to be desired. The “king-size” bed was actually two single mattresses joined together, making it impossible to get a good night’s sleep. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, and the room design included several unusable millwork cavities instead of practical closet space. The door closers on rooms were extremely loud, often startling us when others exited. Lastly, the breakfast quality didn’t justify its price. Overall, a convenient choice for train travelers with courteous staff, but with several comfort and design issues that hold it back from being a truly enjoyable stay.

Excelente recepcion!!.. Jean -Claude fue increíblemente amable, nos explico todo sobre el hotel y la ciudad. Hay muchas plazas libres de parking frente l hotel, todo muy tranquilo y seguro. El parking se paga de 09:00 a 20:00 (30 minutos grstis, luego 1,20 por hora.cash o tarjeta. El hotel hermoso, solo ecitar habitación 105 pues el baño es demasiado demasiado pequeño!!…(mi hija estuvo en la 108 y era perfecta!). El desayuno super completo y el hotel hermoso y todo super limpio:))

Definitely not a 4 star hotel. It was the worst room. I strongly do not recommend especially if you are planning to stay in a group of 3. Many of the staff are very nice and the front building exterior is very cute. The building we were guided to was an old two-storey building behind the front building and the pool. It's a terrible room with a small, mildewy smell and dusty look. There are always people by the pool, so you can't open the windows or curtains.There is absolutely zero privacy. The room is very compact that there is no space to open your luggage. I moved the annoying closet in the middle of the room and found a lot of dust and insects. The air conditioner smells mildew, and my throat hurts the moment I enter the room, and since we cannot open the window, the air makes us difficult to breathe. I asked the front desk to change rooms, but on the first day they told us that the room was full, and on the second day they said they need to clean the room and can’t change it. Even after saying this, they didn't refund so we checked out for our well being. It's not a space for humans to stay. The WiFi is very slow (0.4mbps) a frustrating online experience. The old two-storey house and the front building is disproportionate for the same price.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. And breakfast was delicious. It’s a quiet, quant area. About a 8 minute walk to the tram and the train was 3 minute walk. Tram could take you to Old Nice in minutes. We would definitely stay here again!

The room had cockroaches. The bathroom was very uncomfortable. When you showered, the bathroom floor got flooded. I asked to be changed to another room, the front desk wanted me to leave my luggage with them and leave us without a room for 6 hs to change my room so that he could change us to the same room we paid for. He should have easily given us an upgrade after the cockroaches incident. The new room was not properly clean. There was so much dust below the bed. The beds were 2 singles out together. I won’t be coming back.

Half the staff were very good, particularly Jean-Rene who checked us in. There were a pair of younger men who worked there in the afternoon who were disinterested, but they were in the minority. The room was small and comfortable. We visited in a heat-wave and the aircon was excellent. The toilet is very small – if you’re any taller than about 175cms you’re not going to have any room when you sit down. The bathroom was average – the shower did not drain properly, so we had to improvise with a series of towel-based dams to prevent the entire room flooding. This seems to be a long-standing issue, as the room showed some signs of water damage on the floor. For some inexplicable reason our room was not serviced on the last day of our stay. Breakfast was good, but as with any buffet, the earlier you get there the better (for variety’s sake). One of the coffee machines was more efficient than the other. There’s a filtered water machine in the lounge, but there were never enough clean glasses over the course of the day. They included both a welcome and departure gift, which was appreciated. It’s also in a pretty central spot, especially if you intend to use the trains to travel around the region. It’s ‘near’ the beach, but I wouldn’t stay here if that was your interest in Nice. Overall, it was a very positive stay, but there are just enough issues with the hotel to prevent me from unreservedly recommending it.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Etwas eng. Ich bin 1,74m groß und wenn ich auf der Toilette war konnte ich die Tür nur mit Mühe schließen. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral aber es ist nicht laut.

A nice stay overall. Amazing staff and breakfast but thats where it all stopped. The room we stayed in it was so unpractical we nearly wanted to check out and find somewhere else.. No wardrobe at all,or any units or drawers that we could have used for out stuff , so we had to live out the suitcase for 3 days . very small shower which was leaking everywhere and an impossible to use toilet . It was so small you could not sit comfortable on it and have the door closed. Sounds like a joke but it was literally that. Luckily we are both short people and we somehow managed with just a few head bumos and scraped elbows but taller people would stood nk chance for pravicy😅 The hotel is very convenient located by the main train station and thats a bonus.

Had a very enjoyable 4-night stay. I found the staff very friendly and welcoming, the room was comfortable, the breakfast was really great and I found the location really good - short walk to old town and promenade that allowed you explore other parts of nice on the way.

Stayed with my child for 4 nights, very conveniently situated next to Nice Ville train station. All staff were amazing, very friendly, helpful with all requests. We felt very welcome. The hotel is super clean, with coffee and tea facilities in the room. The breakfast was nice, and apart from the usual fresh croissants and cheese had a choice of boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages. On the downside, the room we were in was quite small but this is typical of Nice/ Cannes so kind of expected. What was unexpected, the quirky design of furniture. The bedside table that look styled as old fashion suitcase or pirate chest, but wouldn't open! The wardrobe was very small, and lack of storage was obvious. Lucky we only had 2 carry on!

Tiny gripe is no real milk at coffee station in your room or through the day as its milk powder but this is only a tiny thing. Hotel is 5 mins from train st so easy access to Cannes/monaco etc. 20 min walk to old town and the sea front!

Great. Enjoyed our stay. Staff went out of their way to be very accommodating. Each and every staff member we came across was so lovely and friendly. Property (reception) was very clean… breakfast in the morning was simple but nice. Only thing I would say is that you should get to breakfast before 10.00am otherwise there will be nothing left to eat. We were left without eggs today when we arrived at 10am which was quite sad… their eggs (which we were “in time” for the previous day) were awesome and tasty! Just wish we got what we paid for in terms of buffet breakfast… especially considering breakfast finishes at 10.30am. Anyway… on the whole really great experience. Would strongly recommend. In terms of location - I’m sooooo glad I picked this stay! Walking distance to all of the main sights!!!! Brilliant!
