Stayed 2 nights

We had been really looking forward to a short mini holiday in Nice, especially our stay at the hotel, which looked absolutely wonderful in the photos. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed when we were shown our room. It faced directly towards a rock wall — something we were aware of when booking — but what we didn’t expect was that it was also enclosed by a wall and had a balcony from the floor above hanging over it. This made our own balcony completely useless, and even the windows offered no light at all. The room felt dark and closed off. We tried to pay for an upgrade, but were told the hotel was fully booked, so that wasn’t an option. That said, the hotel itself was just as lovely as we had hoped in every other way. The surroundings, atmosphere, and overall experience were great. However, we do feel that this particular room should not have been sold as having a balcony, as it added no value at all — even if other rooms were better, that didn’t help our stay. On a very positive note, the food at the hotel was excellent, and we really appreciated being allowed to stay in the restaurant while waiting to leave for the airport. We would definitely consider coming back — but next time, we will make sure to book a room with a sea view.

We stayed in the best room at Hôtel La Pérouse Nice, and overall it was a pleasant experience. On the first night, the jacuzzi bathtub was unfortunately not working. However, the manager handled the situation professionally and did his best to compensate us, which we truly appreciated. The staff throughout our stay were very kind, attentive, and provided excellent service. Despite the small issue, we enjoyed our time here and would consider coming back. I sincerely hope to return with my girlfriend one day, and hopefully, next time, she will be my wife and we will be here for our honeymoon.

Very well located, comfortable, but small bedrooms, nice bathrooms, very nice staff, very well located within walking distance of many restaurants, beautiful view of Nice Promenade des Anglais. But, strange set up with reception in a different building, connected with lift, restaurant often privately booked, no on-site parking, but good valet.
