Staff were excellent and always very friendly and willing to help. The room could do with a bit of a refresh, particularly the bathroom (a fair bit of mold and staining on the walls) but it was functional. Breakfast was disappointing. The tables felt crammed in and were difficult to navigate at times and the selection was limited. Bacon was like cardboard every day. Parking was decent value and our space was always available however the spaces have big pillars in them and not much room to negotiate so larger vehicles be aware of this. There is parking just down the road as well. Room facilities were good, with a fan, iron, TV and plenty of clean towels.

Hotel was nice with a good breakfast buffet. Room was a nice size and was quiet. The only issue I had was with parking. The hotel had limited parking space so I ended up parking at a municipal garage about a block away. Downtown Aberdeen was going through a lot of renewal and did not have the shopping that I wanted.

Parking was limited within the hotel however there was a council ran card park 5 mins up the road. The breakfast was not the best. Yes there was variety but not cooked to best of quality. Walls are paper thin and anyone walking up and down the corridors amplifies regardless of the time of day

10 car parking spaces for 155 rooms. Wasn't clear on any marketing material so ended up paying for multi-storey car parking, off-site. Unclear as to how you would be allocated one of the 10 spaces as the reception didn't appear to know. Noisy during the early hours with other rooms doors closing. We've been before and didn't encounter issues (we haven't taken the car before however). A little disappointed this time around.

Bar not stocked very well. Tennants lager ran out after 2 nights, whisky choice very poor and no lemonade after first night. Housekeeping were pestering us to leave at 10.10 am. But emails stated quite clearly check out was at 11 am

This is certainly does not meet the standards expected of a Holiday Inn and I would never stay there again. They charged more for the room than was agreed of Expedia. The room had no hot water from the bathroom sink and after 4 days it still was not repaired. The TV did not work properly and gave repeated no signal available. Again for the 4 days it did not work properly, or cut out mid show. There was no information in the room regarding how to use the TV, phone etc. No information regarding what to do, local placers of interests and nearby restaurants even though they do not have a restaurant. There was a bar but they ran out of beer on Saturday night. The hotel was fully because of the World Short Mat bowling competition so moving was not a option. I made one local call to a toll free number and they tried to charge me 10 pounds. Everyone I talked to at the hotel which was a lot as most of us were in the competition agreed we would never to stay there again and as the majority were from Europe the Holiday Inn brand is now one to avoid.

The hotel was very rundown and shabby. I was put into a disabled access room. The bathroom wasn’t clean when I arrived and the light switch was broken, meaning I couldn’t turn the light or fan off during my entire stay. Apparently, this is good “because the floor gets very wet in that room because of the open shower.” Between the bathroom light and the bright green exit sign right above the inside of my door, I got a terrible night’s sleep after a very long day of travel. Thankfully, I was only there for one night before moving on. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

Bathroom in the room in very poor condition door handle hanging off, shower hose leaking more water than coming out of the shower head, painted floor tiles in poor condition and the sink tap the noise from it when you open the tap was horrendous reported to reception and they didn’t seem interested very poor state for a holiday inn.

I’ve stayed in many IHG hotels before and this is by far the poorest in terms of room cleanliness. The bathroom / shower floor was in need of repair or full replacement. I felt the need to wear my shoes or socks in the room as the floor did not look clean at all. Thankfully I only needed to stay a couple of nights and was out all day for work. I will not be returning until the rooms are fully renovated.

Have stayed here quite a few times over the years.. But the last few times it seems to becoming a little run down and needs a good freshen up. Never used to have to book a breakfast slot.Booked one on this trip as only staying one night. The breakfast area wasn't that busy and have never been turned away in the past that there was too many people. So no idea why this has been introduced Thats one part of going away.. Not having to rush for breakfast. The room was up on the fourth floor. Generally clean.. Yet alot of long hanging cobwebs on the roof. Silicone on shower room is in need of a redo.. Alot of black mould on it Staff friendly and helpful Only booked this hotel for the location.. Near to a music venue Will be looking elsewhere in future Plenty more selection in the centre of Aberdeen Shame they've let if go like this

Great location, looks a little tired in places. Need to move the smoking location as its right outside the front door as with someone who has a lung condition not ideal having to walk through cigarette smoke to get to hotel. Car park was tight and not alot of spaces. Room was OK bed comfortable although alot of noiss from doors slamming (need soft close mechanism on doors) Breakfast was a good selection and very nice, fresh.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, good hotel breakfast, central location, good bed, great price. Cons: Worn-out room, thin walls (very noisy). I stayed at this hotel for 5 days, and there’s a lot to like, although there are some major downsides. For the size of the hotel, the breakfast was very good. The staff were very helpful, and always gave me a warm welcome at breakfast. The bed was comfortable, and the room cleaning was good. The room was one of the cheaper options in the city, so you can’t expect too much. I was placed in room 101, a handicap-accessible room. Although the room was spacious, it was worn-out. The bathroom was especially outdated and in need of a serious upgrade. The worst part about the room was the noise. It was very noisy between the room, the hallway, and other rooms. You could clearly hear the neighboring room's TV, conversations, and other activities. If you’re sensitive to noise, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. However, if occasional noise isn’t a big deal for you, this is overall a very good deal for the price, as you get everything you need at an affordable rate. I’ll choose this hotel again the next time I’m in Aberdeen.

OK so new for this week was an odd smell in room 303 (a bit like fusty dettol) but not enought to warrant a room swap, TV still cuts out after half an hour and still no bbc 2, they need to get this fixed. That said the loaction is nice and central, wi-fi solid, and staff very good indeed.

Ok and very reasonably priced. No air con and very stuffy room. Mattress very soft, probably old and needs replaced. Sofa bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast good. Location excellent and parking very useful

The hotel is fine, we stayed for one night and had breakfast included (it’s a lovely spread but very salty). The check in was frustrating as there was nowhere to park our car (disappointing as I had picked the hotel specifically because parking was said to be included, you now need to reserve a spot in advance and pay £10) and ended up having to park in the staff carpark (then told if I don’t move I’ll get a fine…) my partner took our bags to the room while I tried to find another place to park. I came back to learn for the past 5-10 minutes that he was locked out and told that he wasn’t using the keycard properly. So I went down and explained none of the keycards worked for the room we were given, only to be told the same thing that my partner had been told. After some pressing on my part, someone came with me and lo and behold the keycards didn’t work at all. Eventually, we were assigned another room opposite the original one, but I didn’t appreciate the waiting around and the repetitive brushing off during check in.

Was made to wait almost an hour after check in time of 2pm as the room wasnt ready. Staff werent exactly the friendliest with the exception of one female member. The staff refunded my security deposit wen someone else checked out and didnt speak to me about wich meant up check out i was called a liar and treated disgustingly which caused myself and my newly married husband of one day to check out early. When i made a complaint i was told nothing would be done i will never recomend here for a stay ever and i will never be coming back here. In future i will go elsewhere and recommend strongly for people i know to go elsewhere.

A great spot for this hotel, close to some of the main sites (art gallery and old town) plus the bars and restaurants around Union Street. A very clean bedroom, with super cosy bed (and a choice of hard or soft pillows) plus shower room. Very accommodating and pleasant staff too (they gave me a sewing kit and shoe polish kit when I realised I needed them).

I can't say enough about these incredible people. From the moment we arrived we felt completely taken care of. We met Rachel first, checking us in and making sure we had everything we needed. Maya and Yulia are any employers dream of employees. There were many others whose names i cant remember, but I'll never forget my stay in Aberdeen and the beautiful people who live and work there.

Typical from the brand. Purposeful and spotlessly clean room and shower room. Comfortable bed and quiet sleep. However there was no one on check In when we arrived and a queue formed with none of us being checked in. Cutlery supplies non existent. One girl doing her best to do everything but with a busy breakfast room she could’ve done with help !

Great location for venturing into the city, parking available locally at low cost, excellent breakfast choice, clean and staff very welcoming. On the downside, the street facing bedrooms are noisy when revellers exit pubs in the early hours of the morning and whilst earplugs provided by hotel it disturbed our sleep.

Room freezing radiator on but very poor. Just warm . No heating in bathroom. Bed too hard. No bacon for half an hour on Saturday but on Sunday it ran out again but the manager was excellent and brought more straight out. Receptionist totally disinterested in any issues when raised

Buffet food is very little. Canned fruits used to put on the plates for customers are rotten, have bubbles and are mushy, which is not checked by the hotel. The room is very small for a family of four people, the price is for four people. Will not come back here again.

Staff were excellent and always very friendly and willing to help. The room could do with a bit of a refresh, particularly the bathroom (a fair bit of mold and staining on the walls) but it was functional. Breakfast was disappointing. The tables felt crammed in and were difficult to navigate at times and the selection was limited. Bacon was like cardboard every day. Parking was decent value and our space was always available however the spaces have big pillars in them and not much room to negotiate so larger vehicles be aware of this. There is parking just down the road as well. Room facilities were good, with a fan, iron, TV and plenty of clean towels.

We had a great stay at the Holiday Inn Express. It is situated conveniently for town centre shopping and 5 minutes' walk will take you to Union Square Shopping Centre. Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a really well-appointed bathroom. The breakfast was excellent. It is a treat to have decent orange juice and excellent, strong Americano coffee. Great choice of both cold and hot breakfast items. Staff were really helpful both at reception and in the restaurant. A great stay!
