The building where the hotel is located is shared with the AC hotel and amenities and check in are located on multiple floors. We were attracted to the hotel because of the rooftop bar which was closed for renovations at the time of our stay. Good location if you need to be in the uptown area of Charlotte.

The hotel was great! Didn’t know that parking was $35 more till an email just before arrival. Valet was$43 , so we valet since it is a 22 story hi rise. Double charged by the valet 2days later!

The room was excellent. Only complaint that i have is having to wait on elevators to get to and from your room. Being that there is 2 hotels in one, it took me 20 minutes to get to my room with the elevators going up and down constantly.

Everything wss perfect for our stay. The view was amazing. The breakfast had good enough options for my children. Ill definitely be staying again. Parking was 42 a night i wassnt please with parking fee but it was a garage attached to hotel with easy in and out.

Beautiful rooms, clean, modern, great location. Excellent communication in days leading up to stay (esp since we were coming in for Bananas). They do need to add some signage, we used valet & then had no idea where to go to check in (who thinks of 14th floor). The elevator service was a total mess. Not sure if all running, lines & at least a 5 minute wait to access one.

The building is too big to have only four elevators. Twice we couldn’t get on one because it was already full of cleaning staff and their carts. When we returned from our event, along with a large number of other guests, it took almost an hour to get an elevator to our floor!

Fine experience, good location, quiet and clean. I just couldn’t justify giving 5 stars and here is why: the garage is a problem. We were here 24 hours and each time we were in the garage we found lost people: I’m not even kidding. They could solve this problem by adding two signs per floor and clearly have chosen not to. Check in was fine. We had two rooms, checked in at the same time, but my husband got a whole different version of the check in person than I did. We had 4 people per room so clearly we were planning to use the pull out couch. But we weren’t given linens for it and didn’t have enough towels for even 4 people. Then they brought linens but no towels or pillows. The king bed had a nice mattress but the pull out is definitely the old soft mattress from my grandma’s house. Also it’s a full (I think) and only 2/3 of the couch actually pulls out. The rooms are very clean and very quiet. The television is on a swivel with wires crossing over the furniture. Not safe or ideal for kids. We’ve stayed in nicer hotels in bigger cities for less money and without these issues so we probably wouldn’t stay here again, but it was a fine experience.

We had a great stay and loved our room and view. I did notice there were gum wrappers and accumulated dust behind the night stand when i had to move it to look for something I had dropped. Overall, however, our room was spotless and comfortable!

Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout our 2-day stay. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. Also, we heard no noise in the hallway or in neighboring rooms even though it was a weekend. We were in town for a Hornets game and the Residence Inn was the perfect location to stay at. It was within a just a few minutes walk to the Spectrum Center. CVS was right around the corner which was convenient. However, there were few dining options within walking distance. We had a car so we drove to find a restaurant. This was especially necessary because it rained both days that we were in Charlotte. I would definitely stay there again.

The sheets on the bed had not been changed. There was hair on the bed so I requested to change sheets. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable. My concern is if they didn't change the sheets what else was overlooked? Spacious room. Great view

Rooftop bar was great but very expensive like NYC pricing. On Friday & Saturday nights there is a DJ until 1am so if you're on the 20-21st floors just below the rooftop you definitely hear the music

So disappointed! Booked and paid for the room in Sept. 2023 to stay June 1, 2024. We should have been able to check in at 3:00. At 4:30 the lobby was still full of people unable to check in because the rooms weren’t ready. We left to attend a concert. I called the hotel at 7:00 to tell them that we would be staying and would be there to check in after the concert. I was told that was fine and my reservation was confirmed. When we arrived to the hotel around midnight, we were told that we no longer had a room, along with numerous other guests. After much back and forth with the staff at the counter, the manager refused to come out to speak with anyone, we were given a “comp” room 45 minutes away. When we arrived there around 1:30 am, it was evident that the facility was less than par. My original reservation with Marriott was almost $400 for the night, the “comp” room was $73 for the night. This trip was a gift for my husband and not nearly the experience that we had hoped for.

Our stay at the Residence Inn Charlotte City Center was absolutely PERFECT. Jazz (Check-In Desk) on the 14th floor was Superior in her welcoming and customer service. Jazz provided clear and concise details on the amenities with 5 star class and articulation. Our room was immaculate. Clean, fresh, spotless. The views of the queen city of Charlotte from the hotel room as well as the roof top dining was nothing short of AMAZING. All the guest we met were very friendly as well. Thank you Jazz and Mr. Cote for an unforgettable wonderful experience.

The property was nice. Clean room with everything we needed. Food was good at the restaurant with fast service. The negative is that we had to wait over an hour to get checked in. There was only one person working the desk. Carol was spectacular when we finally got to the check in desk. She had a big smile on her face even though she was the only one working. Management definitely screwed up on this weekend with a Morgan Wallen concert at the stadium down the street. We missed our dinner reservation with friends due to waiting so long to check in. No luggage cart to be found so we hauled all our luggage ourselves and stood in line in a very warm elevator lobby. Other than that, it was a good experience.

The parking was a bit confusing. The receptionist who answered the phone was VERY RUDE AND HANG UP OUR PHONE when we called to check. We got different instructions from a parking guy when arriving. The parking was a bit confusing. The receptionist who answered the phone was VERY RUDE AND HANG UP OUR PHONE when we called to check. We got different instructions from a parking guy when arriving. He told us to park at P1 and put our parking card on the dashboard. We called the hotel receptionist to check. She was VERY RUDE AND HANG UP OUR PHONE!!! Finally when we arrived at 14F to check in. We had a quick weekend away as a couple and enjoyed the Residence Inn Charlotte City Center greatly! It was in the perfect location, clean and comfortable, and easy to navigate (for a in-city hotel). The room was very spacious and well equipped with beautiful views. But for us it was the staff that set this place apart. Our pre-registration requests were honored without having to bring them up again. They were always helpful with answers to questions, greeting us, and smiling. Even when we returned to the room late on July 4 and found leak in the ceiling, the staff moved us within 10 minutes of phoning apologetically to an upgraded room. When we return to CLT we will seek out this property again.

Room was fine. Location was great. Unfortunately though the lack of staff at this hotel made this a hotel I would definitely not recommend or stay here again. When we arrived to check in no one was at the front desk. There was a sign saying they would be back soon which they were. Ok - no big deal. The day we were checking out (a Sunday) I had tried calling the front desk all morning with no answer. I finally went to the front desk, same sign saying they would be back soon. Soon apparently is relative because there was no one at the front desk almost the entire morning (I never did see anyone). Several problems with no one being around to help or answer questions. One of those problems is if you have to get back into the hotel from the parking garage (several floors beneath the hotel) and no longer have your key you are relying on someone at the front desk to buzz you in. Thank goodness the guests at this hotel helped each other out that morning and we were all talking about the lack of staff.

The concierge, Eric was fountain of information about the area. He was able to give amazing recommendations for restaurants, entertainment and things to do all around Charlotte. Just because of his personality and his ability to get people checked into their rooms I would highly recommend that you stay here.

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will stay at this hotel the next time I am in Charlotte, NC. Amazing experience! Beautiful hotel with beautiful views of the city. Great location. The rooftop restaurant is delicious and very scenic. The AC restaurant was good to go to for some late night food and a night cap. Their breakfast had plenty of options and that really means a lot because I am very limited with a special diet that I have to abide by.

Clean, good space, full kitchen, and conveniently located in the heart of Uptown Charlotte across from the Spectrum Center and walking distance to Bank of America Stadium. This is our second time staying here. Booked second time due to location and good experience when we stayed in Charlotte a few years ago.

Check-in was quick and easy. The staff was courteous and helpful throughout our 2-day stay. Our suite was very clean and comfortable. Also, we heard no noise in the hallway or in neighboring rooms even though it was a weekend. We were in town for a Hornets game and the Residence Inn was the perfect location to stay at. It was within a just a few minutes walk to the Spectrum Center. CVS was right around the corner which was convenient. However, there were few dining options within walking distance. We had a car so we drove to find a restaurant. This was especially necessary because it rained both days that we were in Charlotte. I would definitely stay there again.

The property itself is a great stay. Ms. Carol is an absolute joy. She does check in and is very knowledgeable about the area. The property itself is wonderful. The only downside is the extreme homeless population that hangs out in city center. That is obviously not a reflection on the property itself.

Our stay was wonderful! The hotel was beautiful & our room was perfect! Loved the beautiful views of the city from our room & from the rooftop bar! The small plates at the rooftop bar were delicious! Definitely try the smoked halibut!

Location was great as we were in town for the NCAA Basketball tournament. We were able to walk to everything. Property overall was clean and quiet. Parking was a bit confusing when we arrived and the front desk person who checked us in did not explain the details on where to park or that there was a parking card we were to use to park in the hotel guest area. Daily breakfast was ok but please include some options that are vegan-friendly.

Excellent hotel! Very nice, clean, great downtown location. We were coming from Toronto, Canada on our way to Jekyll Island in Georgia. Parking was easy contrary to other reviews that said it was confusing. The parking garage is attached to the hotel on the right, just grab a ticket at the machine, keep driving down in loops until you get to P3 or P4 and park your car. Elevators are through the glass door and go up to the 14th floor to check in. You exchange your parking ticket for the parking ticket you are given when you check in. We were on the 21st floor with a nice view of the Spectrum. Breakfast is very good with sausage, scrambled eggs, egg, cheese and sausage breakfast sandwich etc. We would definitely stay here again in Charlotte.
