Kukun Reforma & Downtown

We enjoyed our stay here quite a lot. It’s a brand new property with great facilities and perfect for someone travelling and having to work remotely! We loved the rooftop patio, garden, workspace and pool and our unit was nice. However, there is only one keycard per room which was inconvenient but the concierge could still let us in if we separated. Also, during the day there was loud construction in the units above us as they were obviously still building them. Staying on the 2nd floor there was some street noise so consider some of the premium rooms on the upper levels if that is a concern.

Very nice apartment with good amenities (pool & gym) A couple of annoying things are that they only provide 1 card, despite being 2 travelers; they don't have luggage storage despite saying they do in the website, you cannot use the pool or gym once you have checked out. The last 2 things were very annoying as we had a late flight and wanted to use the facilities

Very calm, clean and friendly staff! The surrounding area got me thinking that maybe I wasn’t going to a nice apartment. But once I got to the building I gained security. They have cards that allow only the tenants to go in, out up and down the building. The busy road there makes sleep hard but they provided plug to help! Although the apartments are espectacular, they provide shampoo conditioners, cooking oil, wifi and many more good things! And there are many restaurants they recommended in the booklet that came with the apartment. The rooftop is chefs kiss! I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

The facility is beautiful and equipped with nice amenities. However, we encountered a few issues during our stay. The internet in our room was not connecting, and this problem was never resolved. Additionally, we didn't have hot water on the first day, and when we reported it, we were advised to fill out a work order. I believe that when I bring a complaint to someone, they should take care of the work order request themselves. The front desk staff does an excellent job managing the guests coming in and out of the property, but they seem unable to offer solutions for problems that arise. We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment on the second floor, and I would not recommend staying in any unit below the sixth floor. The area is very high-traffic and noisy throughout the day and night. The local culture seems to encourage frequent honking to move traffic, so we often heard car horns and police whistles trying to control the congestion.

Everything is brand new inside. Spacious and equipped with everything. Very central downtown location. You'll hear the traffic for sure. I wish the roof top patio had some covered areas so you can still enjoy when there's a light rain. The views are great

Don't let the few reviews fool you , this is a pretty new building, with great amenities from a pool, gym and laundry room. Very welcoming front desk and most things in the area are of easy access. I will definitely be back

Just be aware that this rental is within an apartment building (Nomad Bucarelli) instead of a hotel. The units are spacious. Comes with a self laundry facility. Walking distance to metro stations, groceries, and restaurants. The building has 3 elevators and a nice rooftop (plus pool). Not recomended for light sleepers. The rental unit is on the 3rd floor. You will hear the outside traffic. As it is an apartment, do not expect the ammenities expected of a hotel. There is no room service, no concierge, no turn down service, no luggage storage at the lobby, and no flexibility with early check-in and late check out. To store your luggage, they will direct you to take your luggage across town in one of their other properties. The couch was uncomfortable. No air conditioning.

La propiedad y amenidades son buenas así como la ubicación, lo que deja demasiado que desear es la limpieza, cabellos en almohadas, baño, asientos y sala, polvo acumulado en ventilador y en las esquinas y pésima limpieza en general, como que pasan el trapo seco y trapeado en seco, lo que hace que esté sucio todo en realidad.

Muy limpio. Excelentes instalaciones y seguridad.

In general it is a nice, clean and safe place

La ubicación está muy bien, pero lamentablemente el espacio no estaba limpio (pelos en las almohadas, microondas con comida, cobertor extra olía mal). Las cortinas black out tienen un espacio grande entre ellas por lo que entra mucha luz, hay muchísimo ruido de bares, música, coches, etc.

No se encantó estaba muy limpia muy amplia muy tranquilo con mucha seguridad muy céntrica volvería a rentar la recomiendo al 100%

Es la segunda vez que me hospedo aquí, la primera vez fue increíble, el lugar esta muy bien ubicado pero esta segunda vez tuvimos un tema con la limpieza ya que había sangre en las paredes, al comunicárselo a la persona que se encontraba en recepción se portó indiferente y hasta grosera, al final pude comunicarme con alguien de los administradores quien amablemente nos cambió de habitación pero está segunda estaba sucia, si arreglan los problemas con la limpieza el lugar es lindo y en muy buena ubicación .

Overall Kukun Reforma is a very nice place to stay. It is generally in very good repair and feels safe and secure - and on the rooftop there is a lovely garden and swimming pool - and a gym on the floor below. There were some negatives too - the room was not as clean as we would have expected when we arrived and it can be a little noisy - particularly at the weekend. It said there was a room safe - and indeed there is but it is just sitting in the wardrobe and not bolted the wall so it would be pretty easy for a person to pick up the entire box and walk off with it. Still the hotel did clean the room very well when we requested and some of the staff were very good. For example Daniela in reception was very professional, friendly and supportive - and was always happy to help with requests - and she speaks excellent English too. So overall I would recommend Kukun Reforma.

This is my second time at Kukun . The place is always clean and in good condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The stay and room was pleasant (room looks like pictures) but Overall I will rate it as a 3. Great location with a lot of things to do within walking distance, the security was good and you had you use your key to get in and out. For the CONs They were way too conservative with the towels - for two people they only gave us 2 big towels, 1 face towel, 1 hand towel. No towels in the gym, The furniture was small in the living area and could be more comfortable, could be two fans in each room instead of one with it getting so hot throughout the day and night and not being able to leave the windows open b/c the mosquito are so bad. Reason why I gave the cleanliness a 2 b/c there were lots of old, dead mosquitos on the walls, and ceiling with old blood that was very nasty. We also scheduled housekeeping to come at a certain time and they showed up early in our room before we could put our valuables away, and the customer service from everyone didn't feel genuine. They also had a problem with us burning citronnelle incense b/c we were trying to keep the mosquitos away and we kept getting complaints about we were smoking and we were not. Would consider it as an option but look for other places as well.

This place was nice but not a quiet place. 1 had floor #2 and ever night I could hear the cars, my room was facing the street , but the pool was really nice

The location of property is good ,easy to walk around in historic area, the apartment is big space and condition , the only problem is too noisy due to glass of windows are too thin to block sounds on the street which is heavy traffic in 24 hours ! There is an air conditioner in the units , it is ok with electric fans.

Everything was great.. only this is my room didn’t have ac n dam it got hot at night

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed at. First night room was 82 degrees and they only provided a small portable tower fan to cool room. They don’t have an air conditioner and rooms get really hot. It’s also extremely noisy in room. They have room only on second level and you hear honking and loud noises all night because rooms aren’t insulated. The bed is terrible as well. It’s extremely hard and small. Highly recommend to not stay!

No hay aire acondicionado y el ventilador es insuficiente para generar una temperatura agradable en las estancias, ya que hay que moverlo de una a otra y es muy ruidosa para dejarla encendida para dormir. Por lo demas, las habitaciones que dan al exterior son muy ruidosas por el trafico... el sistema de ventanas deberia tener un mejor aislante. Por lo demas fue una gran experiencia.

I loved this apartment/hotel. It is centrally located and not far from various landmarks. I stayed street side and the noise was not a problem if the windows were closed. The apartment was spotless and the internet worked fine. The only problem i had was that the microwave kept blowing a fuse. Had they told me where the fuse box was I would have gladly fixed it myself. Best part was the conciege Daniela she was always there to help or with suggestions. My stay was worth every penny/peso!

The hotel was okay. The staff wasn’t accommodating. I asked to upgrade my room and no one never reached out to me. I had asked for towels several times during the week and had to wait hours before I could get a towels because house keeping didn’t arrive until 9 am They had no wash clothes and was told no. I had to air dry myself which was the worse. We had to go to another location to hold our bags because we had a very late flight. That location employees was much friendly are and way more accommodating. My stay at this location was not what’s a great one. Overall it wasn’t worth it. I would of pay more for a better experience

Pool was nice. This is not a hotel and for any issue you are referred to a whatsapp agent. It took 45 to check in because they wanted to give me a room with 1 full size bed even though i clearly reserved a two double bed room. They dont clean your room unless you want to pay. I was placed in front of three elevators and a noisy street and nothing could be done by the front desk person that day.

Staff refused to give us the 2 bed apartment we had booked and spilt my party into 2 studios instead, meaning we had to sleep in the kitchen area, rather than having a separate bedroom. I had a four-day battle with them to get it changed. Staff were deceiptful, and lied to me about other available options. Expedia were of no help either. The place is conveniently located for downtown and the roof terrace is nice. But if you don't get what you paid for and as the flats have dirty floors, are poorly ventilated, hot and noisy, and the electric trips out a lot - it's best to find somewhere else.

Las amenidades en el hotel son muy buenas. Sin embargo, es muy ruidoso en la noche y así te quedes más de una semana no hacen limpieza, también es importante saber que es imposible comunicarse con las personas de kukun.

Great location and building. It is very safe. Guard upfront and you must have key fob. Only downfall is communication is through app and they don’t respond right away. So if you need towels or anything else you won’t get a response right away. Other than that the rooms are spacious with small kitchen and great view from the top. 15-20 minute walk to the Zocalo, very convenient.

Staff were very friendly and courteous and location was very central with easy access to metro stations.

The only issue we had was that our apartment was not ready when we arrived at check check-in we had to wait over 30 mins past checkin time

Great property, but a place to store luggage before or immediately after checking out would be a welcome improvement.

The property was overall good. It is located in the heart of traffic and in this particular time a massive protest was happening. If you stay here, request a room in the interior part of the building to avoid the loud honking and the early bird noises. The apartment was clean, except for they forgot to sweep up the dog hair. It was equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It is very accessible. The metro bus stop is right outside the hotel. Walking distance from many prime spots. Use the DiDi app to get around. Great coffee shop right in the corner. Oxxo across the street... they accept money transfer, FYI. Tons of Tacos spot around this place. Not far from the Arena Mexico, Lucha in MX is a must! Rooftop chillin is another must here too. We didn't spend enough time there. Enjoy Mexico!

Good location

Well situated closed to the center in a walking distance. Spacious and confortable apartment. Helpful and kind staff.

We liked that it was close to downtown

The property is just a few minutes walk to Reforma and a short walk to Downtown Shopping and the Old Mexico City Culture. Food is available every few steps along with all forms of transportation. The Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again DS

Very safe place to stay. Hotel rooms were clean and required key cards for parking and elevator which made us feel very comfortable. Street noise was a bit much but not the hotels fault. No AC or Heating in the rooms. Just a portable unit; rooms were still very comfortable. Great coffee shop downstairs with easy access to the hotel. Also a little store for snacks and water across the street. The upstarts patio was BEAUTIFUL and the pool was heated! Amazing view of the city at night. We will definitely stay here again.

Excellent location and property. The room was nice, clean and had more than I needed. It’s a great location too. I liked the bar across the street with a live band as well, it’s not a part of the property but it’s a close-by place to have a drink and hang out for a while. My only request would be that they add luggage storage before check-in and after check-out.
