De ligging is perfect, vlakbij het collosseum (200mtr) en de rest van het centrum is vanuit het hotel goed beloopbaar. Parkeergarage onder het hotel is handig maar wel extreem krap, niet makkelijk uit te komen. Leuk dakterras met uitzicht, zwembadje is voor de liefhebber. Kamers zijn erg klein, voldoen en de airco is goed. In juli voor 1 persoon 950,- voor 3 nachten, komt nog parkeergarage a 30€ per dag en toeristenbelasting a 8,-€ per dag bij. Maar de ligging maakt alles goed.

Great location next door to the Colosseum. Walkable into central Roma with Metro, buses and taxis easily available. Our Privileged double room was spacious, well equipped, great roof top terrace with bar and food, roof top pool. A bit of a distance to some of the attractions but otherwise easily accessible. Great stay.

Excellent hotel staff and cleanliness. Perfectly located close to the Colosseum, it was an easy walk there and to many great restaurants. We loved the shaded rooftop bar and also enjoyed the swimming pool. We were there during the extreme heat of July and were so pleased with the GREAT AIR-CONDITIONING in the room. The breakfast buffet was also very good with plenty of options to choose from. Would definitely stay there again. 5 stars

Really enjoyed the property. However, air conditioning in room didn’t seem to work so was hot at night. Roof top views were great, no chairs set up at this time for casual time. Would be great to have had that.

My husband and I came back from a Mediterranean cruise and decided to stay a few extra days in Rome and we couldn’t have been more happy with the hotel and the condition and cleanliness of the room. The room was spacious and quiet, although it was a busy street, but we were able to sleep without any issues. The rooftop pool with the view of the Colosseum was icing on the cake because after a long day of walking, it was really nice to just get back to a comfortable room and a nice rooftop pool and bar to relax in. The hotel staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was great as well. The best part was, though the location because it was near public transportation, the Colosseum and all the major sites.

I stayed at Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo and the only positives were its location and the rooftop pool. It is a short walk to the Colosseum and the pool area has a beautiful view of it. Unfortunately, the hotel room was the most disappointing part. It was extremely dirty and small. The dirtiest hotel room I have ever stayed in. I had booked a Colosseum view room but what I got was a joke, just a tiny circular window on the wall with barely any view. The state of the room was unacceptable for a hotel of this level. The reception and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful, but I think the hotel is very understaffed on housekeeping because the condition of the room was shocking. Overall, this was not worth the price and I would not recommend it unless you only care about being close to the Colosseum.

While in line with most mid-tier hotels, the bathroom is embarrassingly tiny, the bed was harder to sleep on than the floor, and the abrupt wakeups were unacceptable. With the late checkout time of noon, I had planned to sleep in. The cleaning staff knocked and were told no thank you around 0900, the subsequent 3 knocks before checkout time were completely unnecessary and ridiculous.

We had a Privilege, Double Room. Like: - The bed was sizable and comfortable for 2 persons - Toilet was ok sized - Room size was pretty sizable too - The roof top pool had amazing view and good for cooldown during summer heat - bar up at roof was reasonably priced too - close to colosseum within 5-10 mins walk Did not like: - hotel is a bit dated interior - the windows are incredibly small so the room was quite dark overall - a lot of amenities were very basic, including cups for drinking and brushing teeth are paper cups - not a cheap hotel price wise No comment: - did not try the food So overall I think the hotel is ok but if we had more time to search we may look for another one.

Vi hade rum på sjunde våningen och där var det tyst och lugnt. Mina föräldrar bodde på våning två och stördes av ljud utifrån gatan. Rummen var rena med mjuka lakan. Påfyllnad av vattenflaskor uppskattades. Mycket bra läge. Bra frukost! Baren/restaurangen hade kunnat vara mysigare. Då hade vi kanske stannat lite på hotellet.

Amazing location with a great view of the coliseum from the pool area. The staff at the front desk were not the friendliest and seemed upset that people were asking for assistance such as calling for a cab. The last morni9ng that we were there, we asked the front desk employee to call for the service car earlier than what we booked. She said that she called and did not get someone to answer. I believe this not to be true. Area is safe around the hotel.

The hotel is perfectly located in the beautiful Monti district—just a short walk to the Colosseum and many other historic landmarks. There’s a busy public transit stop right in front of the hotel, and taxis/Ubers were always easy to find, making it super convenient to explore the rest of Rome. The staff were all very friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed.

The hotel itself was great, clean and very close to the colosseum and many great restaurants in the area. The rooftop terrace is great place to relax in the afternoon or night time, bartenders were fantastic, the only thing that kept this hotel from being perfect is the fact that when I got to the hotel, I couldn’t check in because it was not 2pm yet, however, the staff did said they had a room ready that they could give me right away but that I had to sign up for a credit card which it format make any sense, if you have a room available for a guest, even if it was before the checking in time, the staff should accommodate it’s guest and not try to get them to sign for a new card membership. Other than that, the hotel was great,

I had such a incredible experience here! The hotel was clean and easy to negotiate. It is extremely convenient to walk to all the Rome has to offer. Big shoutout to, two staff members Damien (the life guard) the rooftop pool was amazing and he made sure mine and my son stay was very special. Also front desk person Martina, she was so helpful in getting taxis information about local restaurants and just made our stay amazing.

I was profiled today after coming back from a long day at the museum, colosseum, and Roman forum and went to the small room before you get to the elevator, took a pic of the statue. A blonde haired woman from behind the main desk sent one of her little minions to ask subtlety ask if we belong here I said I stay here and showed him my card and he walked away without saying he’s sorry

We had a rocky start at the hotel — the initial room was dark, smelly- on the first floor , and the front desk staff member was quite unhelpful. But Sara at reception turned our stay around. She calmly listened, moved us to a higher floor, and even gave us an upgraded room. Her professionalism and kindness truly softened my heart and changed how we experienced our time in Rome. The location of the hotel, fantastic, my son loved the pool and was in it every day, The view of the Colosseum perfection. Two things that I found the bedsheet was too small for the bed and so every time we moved it pulled out minor but very annoying. The coffee for breakfast was excellent, and although the breakfast was sufficient, I did not like the pastries. They were not fresh and also the fruit was tinned., again minor issues but have had better in other hotels that I have stayed at. The hotel staff are very lovely and helpful, I would stay again but would ask for a larger sheets…

We booked the hotel because of the rooftop pool and bar. From that perspective, it was lovely. There aren't many sun loungers or seats by the pool, but the space is nice and the view of the Colosseum is incredible. The staff is also lovely. The room was less impressive. The windows that give you a view of the Colosseum are up high, so the view isn't great. And the bathroom door handles are fairly sharp considering how springloaded the door is. The hotel provides only a single wall-mounted bottle of 2-in-1 shampoo/body wash (no conditioner and the shampoo/body wash is fairly harsh), so I'd recommend bringing your own toiletries. The carpet was a bit dirty, so I'd also recommend slippers. Last, I would not add on the breakfast. For the price, you can get a much better coffee and some pastries nearby in a less chaotic setting. Overall, it's a perfectly fine hotel, but unless you're going to use the pool and spend time enjoying the view, I might try elsewhere.
