We didn’t stay and went home instead. Good points, nice staff and free parking. Now the rest. The mattress was extremely old, it was grey/brown, no mattress topper, springs digging in, base is broken so you not only tipped inwards, the head of the bed tipped downwards at an angle. There were old dirty towels under the mattress too. The shower didn’t work properly, no air con, dirty coffee stained wall by the entrance, Very old and tired building . If you want a good nights sleep, do not stay here it’s not worth it. If you don’t care about sleep, then it’s not a bad price.

The two young staff on the front desk were lovely. The location of the hotel was perfect for what we needed. However, the condition of the hotel really needed a refurbished. Peeling paint, marked grout in shower etc. Be warned, this is advertised as a hotel with parking. What they don’t tell you is that you can be blocked in and have no way of getting out (I was lucky as managed to track down a guest who was able to move one car so I could escape!). This hotel just needs some tlc!!!

I wasnt impressed with this hotel. I found it too dirty and run down and not comfortable. It is a perfect locarion though, only short walk to the beach. I wasn't expecting extra potentional fees like £75 if you loose a room key. Also credit card detail for £50.00 in case of damages. The good think was that there was no fee for a car park over night stay.

The Expedia listing says FREE PARKING, that is only on a first come first serve basis, the listing say bed and breakfast, when checking in I asked if there was breakfast available at an extra cost, I was told they don’t serve breakfast and that the was a restaurant across the road where I could get breakfast. There was black mould on the bathroom window frame, thick dust along the skirting board, I have allergies to mould and dust. I had to park my car at another hotels car park with my expensive musical equipment in and was told to block other cars in. I didn’t sleep as I was worrying about my car, my allergies flared up because of the mould and dust. The Expedia listing does not match what the hotel offers. One of the rooms had the light switch a long way from the door, door shut couldnt find the switch , my mum tripped and fell and hurt herself . Bathroom really dirty , couldnt use the bath at all . Loo roll had been soaked and dried again . Huge room just not clean and poorly laid out . The other room wasnt too bad . Staff were ok, they did stsy up for us to check in late . Car parking terrible

We booked a cosy room and it was a disgrace. A few years ago, we booked a room in this hotel, and it was a lovely, clean place; therefore, we decided to book again this time. Perhaps we had a different type of room years ago. Unfortunately, it was a mistake. The room is so small that it is like a matchbox, and you can say single room; however, with a double bed, there is nowhere to hang your clothes, we couldn't even bring our luggage as literally no space. Mould everywhere, the bathroom is very small, and water pressure barely exists. Nowhere to put your washing stuff and nowhere to hang towels, even. There is no AC or fan. Luckily, we had a fan with us, so we somehow survived. At the entrance, there was blood on the floor, which no one bothered to clean up. There is free parking; however, the narrow lanes between the cars, and once you park, you can't get out of the car, and since we have SUV, we parked and paid elsewhere for safety reasons. Unfortunately. We do not go back there anymore.

1st room bed was broken, 2nd room mould in bathroom, dirty flooring, toliet not clean, shower door replaced with a curtain, half the door left on. hole in bedroom wall. i do have photos of all and more of this. I was asked for ID and a £50 deposit to be held, I think i should be asking them for a £50 deposit to stay there, WE WILL NOT EVER BE COMING BACK.

On the good side, the bedroom was clean, the bed was comfy and I slept well. The staff I saw were attentive, the room was cheap, the area was quiet enough and there were great restaurants close by. The bedroom has a great tv. The hotel is close to the beach and the town centre. However, I have never been asked to pay a damage deposit before. What kind of guests do you get? I am ten years in the hotel trade and I have never had to charge a guest for damages. If I had understood this before I had completed the booking I would not have chosen this hotel. On the down side, the bathroom had black mould. The room was not serviced during my stay. The hotel does not offer a breakfast. The bathroom fan did not appear to work and the bedroom window did not fit airtightly. The hotel looks tired. Overall, I got five nights decent sleep and an enjoyable holiday. I suppose I was a bit naïve about what my money would buy in a resort like Bournemouth.

Hotel was ok just to get ready and sleep in only. Cheap spring mattress that pinged ever time you turned over . Unfortunately quite a bit of damp in bathroom and the room also a rusty toilet paper holder. Hotel did have hot running water .

The photos on Expedia do not reflect the reality of this hotel today - or I guess for many years. There’s no breakfast offered, the room could only be described as “pretty grim”, the shower and bathroom were musty and dank, and reception was almost always unmanned To be fair the bed and towels were properly clean, which is the most important thing about anywhere - but that’s a pretty low bar really, not a selling point. If I’d paid, say, £40 a night and had seen real photos so I would have known what to expect it would have been OKish - but that’s not really what this website (and some of the reviews) led me to believe. Very much at the bottom end of budget accommodation in Bournemouth - which, having stayed at a few places in my time, is really saying something.

Booked a standard double room for one night, but room we had was more like a small double and didnt look like the pictures. A kettle and old coffee machine provided but only 2 coffees and one was decaff. A few tea bags which tasted stale. Bed was clean but not very comfortable. Plain walls and wallpaper was coming off. Hot radiator but was rusty. Shower was okay. Would we stay again - No.

I had two separate rooms. Staff were polite and rooms were clean - however, both rooms had no heating (January!) and windows were not closing properly, so it was freezing cold all night. I had to be up early and at 6am there was no hot water and so I couldn’t take a shower. Music was played in reception downstairs late and sound insulation is poor in this place, so if you are looking for a quiet and early night you won’t get it at this hotel. Overall - very disappointing

Very small room for quite a high price. We stayed in a small double, initially given a room that was right next to reception and includes ear plugs to block out noise. Why have a room so close to reception that needs this? We were then put in a different room though this was not much better. The entire place seemed cramped. This is sadly where a house type building has been convered but shouldnt have been. There was also some kind of larger gathering in a social room linked to the hosts which could be heard in the room we were relocated to. Huge waste of money, far from impressed.

Room was tiny, most of the time no one at reception during the day when we needed toilet paper, asked for a spoon, "didnt have anymore". Toilet stunk really bad like a gutter, most disappointing was the room size and the structure / furniture/ bed was nothing like what is shown in the pictures. Thankfully it was close to the beach and shops so we could stay out mainly but overall so disappointing as it was my patners birthday and i was a bit embarrassed when I unlocked the room and walked in.
Room was tiny, most of the time no one at reception during the day when we needed toilet paper, asked for a spoon, "didnt have anymore". Toilet stunk really bad like a gutter, most disappointing was the room size and the structure / furniture/ bed was nothing like what is shown in the pictures. Thankfully it was close to the beach and shops so we could stay out mainly but overall so disappointing as it was my patners birthday and i was a bit embarrassed when I unlocked the room and walked in.

It was dirty and the guest (a member of staff) had to change hotels in order to feel comfortable. I received confirmation from the hotel that I would get a refund for the two nights I paid for, however, when I asked them to execute this they stopped responding and have not processed the refund.

The listing says they might ask for ID. They will ask for ID and will refuse to check you in if you don't have one. The listing also claims daily housekeeping but there wasn't. Watch out for the door to your room slamming on the powerful springs so as to not disturb your neighbours. Not too much disturbing the nearby rooms with the noisy shower pump, meanwhile, as the tray fills up with water and you won't take too long as a consequence.

The photos on Expedia do not reflect the reality of this hotel today - or I guess for many years. There’s no breakfast offered, the room could only be described as “pretty grim”, the shower and bathroom were musty and dank, and reception was almost always unmanned To be fair the bed and towels were properly clean, which is the most important thing about anywhere - but that’s a pretty low bar really, not a selling point. If I’d paid, say, £40 a night and had seen real photos so I would have known what to expect it would have been OKish - but that’s not really what this website (and some of the reviews) led me to believe. Very much at the bottom end of budget accommodation in Bournemouth - which, having stayed at a few places in my time, is really saying something.

On the good side, the bedroom was clean, the bed was comfy and I slept well. The staff I saw were attentive, the room was cheap, the area was quiet enough and there were great restaurants close by. I booked 2 rooms , 1 of them for my 17 yr old granddaughter, i did ask if we could have rooms close , but 1 was on the top one was on the ground floor , when we walked into my granddaughters it smelt wonderful and was nice and clean , but when we went up to ours it smelt of stale cigarettes, was awful i opened both windows , the shower made such a awful noisy, the quilts were made for summer so we all were so very cold , i was very disappointed, was ok for the one night , if we were staying longer i would have complained, close to the beach and amenities, but would not book again

The Expedia listing says FREE PARKING, that is only on a first come first serve basis, the listing say bed and breakfast, when checking in I asked if there was breakfast available at an extra cost, I was told they don’t serve breakfast and that the was a restaurant across the road where I could get breakfast. There was black mould on the bathroom window frame, thick dust along the skirting board, I have allergies to mould and dust. I had to park my car at another hotels car park with my expensive musical equipment in and was told to block other cars in. I didn’t sleep as I was worrying about my car, my allergies flared up because of the mould and dust. The Expedia listing does not match what the hotel offers. You only find out after booking the hotel that there is limited parking!!!!! Not good when you’ve been working until late and then arrive back at the hotel only to find NO PARKING SPACES AVAILABLE!!!

The receptionist was brilliant, but probably an error on my part ,but no breakfast, more of a back packers stay accommodation. Shower knob fell off and Shower initially wouldn't work, i eventually found a switch on the wall in the bedroom to get power to it. Room 9 be aware.

The hotel is ok for quick get away, no luxury holiday. Room was very drafty, cold at night. Small room for a small price so satisfactory and served its purpose. Shower screen was bit mouldy at the bottom, but overall cleanliness was no issue at all. Booking email wrongly states that you can buy a breakfast for £10 per person, they do not cook at all. Plenty of places to eat near by.

Check in was awful, the chap was really rude and difficult. Demanded photo identification, which we didn’t have. I pointed out that had he wanted it, then they should have pre-warned us. He said no ID no room, we had pre-paid. In the end he backed down with a huff! I was brave enough to ask about breakfast and he said no food. I questioned why I had an email detailing the times and cost of breakfast and he dismissed it. The parking although free was difficult, as the only was to park is to black someone in or be blocked in yourself. The room was grubby, dirty carpets and dirty curtains, Damp bubbling in the ceiling and a very uncomfortable bed. We are aware it was a cheap night, but it was quite dreadful

Excellent hotel! I was really pleased with my choice, especially when I walked past some of the others. I booked late and arrived an hour after that. No problem at all. Check in was smooth and fast. The room was spacious, airy and clean with tea and coffee facilities and toiletries provided. Staff were friendly and well mannered. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again
