Great central location, super helpful & friendly staff, reasonably priced, modern kitchenette & bathroom, spacious 1 bedroom apartment. A couple of negatives- balcony sliding door extremely difficult to open/close. Swimming pool needs some TLC…tiles off in places & rust stains on floor of pool. BBQ area well equipped & user friendly. Good laundry facility. Apartment was clean and functional with minimal issues. Yes would stay there again. Thank you to Angie & Sara amazing people doing a fantastic job!

Villa San Michele is wonderfully located on Macrossan St. Almost everything is within easy walking distance. The unit is airy with air conditioning in each bedroom and the lounge/kitchen area. The BBQ and pools were welcome, as was the complimentary laundry

The location was excellent very central. The room was clean and well appointed. The 2 pools are quite small and always had noisy children playing in them - so couldn’t really use them, but the beach is close. We would stay for a few nights, but wouldn’t recommend for a longer stay.

Very well located on the main street between the inlet and the beach. Generous size rooms and an outside balcony overlooking some greenery. Laundry facilities are not in the room but they are free and accessible. The car park is very tight and would not suit a large car but overall a great place to stay in Port Douglas, and reception staff we’re very friendly

Location is second to none. The heated pools are such a bonus too. The property itself is dated and run down. They are embracing the villa/tuscan style which allows for more grace when it comes to cleanliness and the overall appearance. This property was more budget friendly compared to other properties in the area. I like that our kids had their own bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a horrible smell come from the drains in the bathroom and we had construction work happening in the lot next door for our entire stay (they even work weekends....). Luckily for us we were not in the apartment much - as we were out exploring most days. The garage could not safely accommodate out patrol as it was such a large vehicle, so they gave us a parking spot out the front of the unit outside which I thought was great. The unit itself has all the things you need for a holiday ie. fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer etc. They even have free washing machines and dryers located in another part of the building. It just needs a major update (some new paint and furniture would do wonders for this property). If you're looking for super clean/new accomodations - give this one a pass, if you want somewhere to lay your head in a great location, you'll probably love it!

The location was very convenient for shopping, restaurants and the Four Mile Beach. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very helpful with organizing a tour to the Daintree rainforest which was just a short drive away. No elevators but staff carried luggage to the room and were very friendly

Villa San Michele is centrally located in the heart of town. Easy to walk to the beach and restaurants and shops. The WiFi and the smart TV are free and the kitchen is very clean. Also, there are free laundry services so it was a perfect place to regroup during our travels.

We arrived in mid afternoon and were warmly greeted and welcomed. We were told about the room and then made our way. The property is convenient to everything being right downtown next to restaurants, coffee shops and retail. The room was clean and most everything we needed was there. Staff were friendly and competent. The property is older but clean and we were sad to leave having enjoyed a wonderful sytay.

Beware Cockroaches! This hotel was an absolute nightmare. Instead of relaxing and enjoying our vacation, we spent the entire stay battling cockroaches in our room. It was disgusting! We found them everywhere – the bathroom, the bedroom, even crawling on the walls. We contacted the hotel staff, hoping they would address the issue, they sent someone but also told us that cockroaches were common and basically "the norm". Seriously?? If infestations are a regular occurrence, they should at least warn guests beforehand! To try to minimize the impact, they actually told us to go have a look in the car park and see how many cockroaches were there. Like that's supposed to make us feel better?! To add insult to injury, when we asked for some kind of compensation for this horrendous experience, the staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They actually hung up the phone on us when we called after checkout! This hotel clearly has zero respect for its guests. Avoid at all costs! I would never recommend this place to anyone and I certainly won't ever be staying there again.

Great value little hotel in an unbeatable central location of Port Douglas. Our room was clean and relatively spacious, although I would swap out the king bed for a queen to allow for more room in the bedroom. It was also a little musty when we first arrived, but running the aircon on dry alleviated the issue. The style of the hotel may be a little dated, but our kitchen and bathroom were renovated and modern, and made for a perfect budget-friendly stay.

The property is very well located in the heart of the village. Walkable to shopping, dining and Marina. The Apartment was clean and comfortable but there were a couple of things that could be easily fixed. One tiny hook in the bathroom is not adequate to hang Robe etc. The small wardrobe was full with safe, ironing board , cleaning gear and blankets so no room for hanging clothes and had those annoying coat hangers attached to the rail. There is only one towel per person provided for a 4 day stay although there is a laundry on site. An obliging maid provided us with hand towels which were not in the room when we arrived. I personally don’t go away for a short break to do laundry. The small wardrobe was full with ironing board, cleaning products, blankets and valuables safe but no room to hang clothes. Worse still it had those annoying coat hangers which are attached to the rail . Wifi is erratic, constantly dropping out and smart tv wouldn’t connect at all with password provided. The pool area is clean and inviting but generally the property is a little dated, could definitely do with a paint job. On site parking is great.

Unique property, can't beat the location for being central to everything walkable. Nice and quiet. Large rooms and roomy apartment. Well presented, clean, loved our stay. If we come back to Port Douglas we will definitely stay here! Thanks

A hidden gem right in town King size bed was so comfy and loved the Mediterranean feel of the place Everything is walking distance and the coffee shop underneath it has great coffee We had a balcony overlooking the street which was spacious and surprisingly not noisy We would recommend it highly

We had a horrible smell come from the drains in the bathroom and we had construction work happening in the lot next door for our entire stay (they even work weekends....). Luckily for us we were not in the apartment much - as we were out exploring most days. The garage could not safely accommodate out patrol as it was such a large vehicle, so they gave us a parking spot out the front of the unit outside which I thought was great. The unit itself has all the things you need for a holiday ie. fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer etc. They even have free washing machines and dryers located in another part of the building. It just needs a major update (some new paint and furniture would do wonders for this property). If you're looking for super clean/new accomodations - give this one a pass, if you want somewhere to lay your head in a great location, you'll probably love it!

The property is very well located in the heart of the village. Walkable to shopping, dining and Marina. The Apartment was clean and comfortable but there were a couple of things that could be easily fixed. One tiny hook in the bathroom is not adequate to hang Robe etc. The small wardrobe was full with safe, ironing board , cleaning gear and blankets so no room for hanging clothes and had those annoying coat hangers attached to the rail. There is only one towel per person provided for a 4 day stay although there is a laundry on site. An obliging maid provided us with hand towels which were not in the room when we arrived. Great central location, super helpful & friendly staff, reasonably priced, modern kitchenette & bathroom, spacious 1 bedroom apartment. A couple of negatives- balcony sliding door extremely difficult to open/close. Swimming pool needs some TLC…tiles off in places & rust stains on floor of pool. BBQ area well equipped & user friendly. Good laundry facility. Apartment was clean and functional with minimal issues. Yes would stay there again. Thank you to Angie & Sara amazing people doing a fantastic job!

The location was very convenient for shopping, restaurants and the Four Mile Beach. All the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Very helpful with organizing a tour to the Daintree rainforest which was just a short drive away. No elevators but staff carried luggage to the room and were very friendly

Location is second to none. The heated pools are such a bonus too. The property itself is dated and run down. They are embracing the villa/tuscan style which allows for more grace when it comes to cleanliness and the overall appearance. This property was more budget friendly compared to other properties in the area. I like that our kids had their own bathroom. Staff were friendly and helpful.
