Great location over a pub. The room was large and comfortable. The floor was wooden and very creaky so sleep was difficult. The pub was great and the staff amazing!

The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spacious and the addition of a safe was great. I would definitely stay here again. The location was perfect and there was a free car park next door.

Older hotel over a restaurant/bar in excellent location for walking to all sites. 4 block walk to The Old Course and several golf shops along the way. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Free breakfast was delicious. Rooms older and small as expected. We would definitely stay again. St Andrews is a treasure!

Stopped in for one night, check in was a breeze. Great security. We had a lovely view from our room on the second floor, which was a good size, and had a tea pot with the trimmings. The attached pub was brilliant, staff delightful and attentive. The food was delicious-dinner for us was an outstanding pea and mint soup and gorgeous chicken salad. But they had a varied and eclectic menu. Breakfast was included and was outstanding. The location is ideal-walking to the famous St.Andrews course, many stores and restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Would highly recommend.

Huge room!! Comfortable stay. Great location… staff were welcoming and having the bar -restaurant attached was a plus! It’s an old building so the floorboards were quite loud, but it didn’t bother us much. All in all, it was a good place to stay. We would definitely consider it again.

We stayed for one night as we were meeting friends for dinner at a restaurant nearby. There is free parking right beside the hotel which is a real bonus in St Andrews. The staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable. There was a great choice for breakfast which was included. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely 2 night stay! Room was big, warm and comfortable with a king size bed. Bathroom also big and spotless. Breakfast was delicious with great choice of food. Staff very friendly and, even though under pressure the first morning as so busy, remained calm and very friendly. Would definitely stay again

The staff was super friendly and helpful throughout our 5 day stay. The room itself was a good size! The bathroom was on the smaller side and very little counter space. The bed was firm. Typical small pillows. Just 2 complaints. 1) Even though the property was non smoking, our room smelled like cigarettes. 2) The hallway was super noisy and all the doors to the individual rooms do not close quietly so we heard everyone on our floor coming and going. We ate at the restaurant 2 times. Would have been more but the kitchen closes early!

Very central location. Riom was very large but the floors were squeaky so you could hear the people walkiing about upstairs. Pub downstairs was quiet untill 11pm when they decided to ramp up the music til it closed at midnight, so got woken up by that. Bathroom in the room needed a good scrub as lots of mould. Staff are nice but there aren't enough of them for everything that needs done.

We came to St. Andrews for a little golf and to visit the Castle. The hotel was huge and close to golf and other attractions. The breakfasts and other food offering were solid as well. I had a salad that was very good w/ unique flavors. Thanks

Great location and excellent service. Although above a hotel, it was a very quiet hotel. We had a great night’s sleep both nights. This hotel is located right in the centre of St Andrew’s with the shopping and restaurant areas immediately accessible. The breakfasts were great - best pastries we’ve had and a cooked to order hot meal with a really great range of offerings.
