Nautilus Inn - Daytona Beach

Super clean and friendly staff. Right by the beach so everything is super accessible. Parking can be a little tricky though when it’s busy around.

This is our third time staying here. Nautilus Inn is one of our favorites in Daytona. It's always clean and everyone is friendly. The access to the beach is perfect. The pool isn't huge but it's big enough. All the rooms have at least a little bit of a beach view. The ice machines do run out of ice in the morning with everyone filling up coolers to go to the beach. We will for sure be picking it again the next time we go to Daytona.

It's affordable, the staff was very friendly and let us check in early. Beds were comfortable, pool clean, right on the beach, there were plenty of lounge chairs by the pool and patio. It's on the quieter end of Daytona Beach so the beach wasn't too busy. We only had housekeeping 2 days out of 6 but if you go to the front desk they happily give you tp, fresh towels and anything else you may need. We would stay again.

Use to be free self parking but now charged 10.00 a night to park. Took away coffee and muffins because of renovations. New furniture is uncomfortable. Employees were pleasant. Everyone gets a beach view which is nice.

We got a nice room with a great view at a good price. Everything was clean. The pool was nice. I wish the jets on the hot tub had been working properly. I tried to turn them on but no luck. I asked about a late check out but was told I would have to call back in the morning which would have completely defeated the purpose of the late check out for us, which was so we could sleep in longer. Lol. But overall this was a really nice place right on the beach. There was a fridge, freezer, stove, oven, and microwave. We would definitely stay here again.

Very easy to park. Pool is beautiful, but we had King Tides and 30 m0h winds , so we never got in the pool or on the beach.

This property is like a little oasis in an area that obviously has a few issues. Both properties on either side of the Nautilus suffered severe damage in the last batch of hurricanes to hit the area. One property looks as if someone is trying to make repairs, but this will be no easy feat, as the damage is substantial. The property on the other side looks as if it could be condemned. Adjacent to that property, there was construction underway to install a seawall on a vacant lot. Now that being said, we had a room on the side where the construction was occurring, and with the doors/sliders closed, you could not hear the noise. According to the lobby staff, the Nautilus also sustained some hurricane damage, but repairs have been made, and you would never know. The hotel is spotless, the staff is friendly, and they go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The only complaint I have with the property is that the hot tub does not work properly. We've stayed at this hotel several times and the hot tub has always had problems. My feeling is fix it or don't advertise it as an amenity. The pool, however, is perfect You need a car if you're planning on eating out or use a delivery service, since there is no restaurant within walking distance. There are two supermarkets, and since the rooms have full kitchens this is less of a problem than you would think

Everything was wonderful, the pool was tiny and the hottub was greenish. Other than that, we loved it!

Excellent location, right on the beautiful beach, walking distance to pier and shops. Hotel was spotlessly clean, room had full kitchen. Pool area was excellent with hit tub, plenty of table and chairs, loungers.Hitel staff were friendly and professional.

Room infested with roaches …didn’t have another room for us and had to heavily spray poison in room and specifically the bathroom…

Room was great and very clean. Plenty of parking and easy access to the building from the parking lot. We can't wait to visit again soon!

Great staff, very affordable for the surrounding area for an ocean view room. Easy parking, great location. Did find a questionable red stain on a white towel. Easy fix. A small bug or two in the room was reported. But hey, it’s summer. I would stay here again.

Nothing was unique. Mold on the ceiling. Door wouldn't close unless you had to slam it. Room was stuffy, light bulbs blown. And no food.

We had been there before and had a wonderful time. Sadly this time was just the opposite. There were cockroaches in our room and the room was not clean. Our check in wasn't enjoyable either because there were 6 parties waiting to check in and only one clerk.

Place was very clean

Hotel is dated. Musty smell in room and hallway. Lobby had an overwhelming air freshener smell.

The facility appears clean, but the room has a somewhat aged scent. I had to purchase an air freshener. While the bathroom is satisfactory, the area around the tub shows some discoloration.

The rooms and hotel had a clean refreshing smell. Very clean and very organized. Only thing i found odd was as it only had instant coffe and tea for breakfast. But i would definitely stay here again

Overall we really liked this place. Other than a constant battle of never enough provided towels (there was **ALWAYS** a wait on them), Nautilus Inn was excellent for our Daytona Beach experience. Every room offers a beach view (some rooms a better view than others but nevertheless, every room has a view). Loved the private beach access also.

Amazing room with full-size refrigerator and kitchen. View was beautiful and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Staying at this property was one of the best decisions, during our visit to Daytona Beach. We were here only for a day and had booked a deluxe oceanfront room, and the room was amazing and fantastic. It had amazing sea view. It had multiple windows overlooking the road as well as nearby buildings and it felt enormous. It came with full kitchen, two queen beds and a sofa bed. It’s a beautiful property and this particular room for anyone visiting the Daytona Beach.

Firstly, we got the ocean VIEW room which we understood would be a side view of the water and the view was perfect for us. We still got a little breeze and was able to hear the ocean and see the sunrise from our balcony. (Attached pic of when we walked in the room). The kitchen does have the bare essentials, so if you like to whip up some meals make sure to pack your spices and pots and pans and cooking utensils. Fridge stayed very cold and even froze some of our items. We didn’t see an issue with the water pressure in the shower like I’ve read in some other reviews. Water pressure was fine and the hot water definitely got HOT. The beds were comfortable to us. However bed comfortably is always subjective to you. Soft pillows and a medium firm bed is the best way I can describe it. The coffee bar is a singular machine with a few packets of creamer and sugar to choose from with a few muffins. There’s also a coffee maker in the room so there wasn’t a need for us to use the coffee bar. The staff was friendly to us including the front desk, cleaning and maintenance. Easy check in and check out and the staff was never hesitant to toss us some more towels when we ran into them. We didn’t use the washer machines but they take quarters and there’s a sign that says you can purchase detergent with front staff. Overall was an easy and pleasant stay.

Very clean and comfortable. Could use a few upgrades, kitchen appliances were rusting at places. The views were awesome, pool and pool deck very pleasant! Easy access to the beach.

The room was nice and clen, very spacious. The bed was comfortable. Having the kitchen was a plus. You can grab pool towels on your way to the deck, with convenient drop off spots for wet ones. Handy! Note*The sliding door to the balcony was nearly impossible to open! But we managed! Overall we had a very enjoyable stay!

The person that help us at front desk, was not in the best attitude, the moment that my wife spoke to me in spanish, so we dont apreciate that

The front desk staff was very rude.. they were not accommodating at all .. however the rooms were very nice and the pool was alright.. the “free coffee” is ridiculous.. breakfast should be offered

Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. They offer morning coffee bar and muffins but only put out one basket of muffins each morning. Those are easily gone in the 1st hr. This could be better! They must upgrade their room door system. We had to have our room key rekeyed daily because of it not working. I heard a lot of complaints throughout the motel about everyone having the same problem. Money needs to be spent to update this system.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel itself was very clean. The only negative thing I would say is that I wish they would have coffee available a little later than 11 am. Would definately stay there again.

The Location is great. The staff is Ok, they are Not willing to really accommodate the guests, it seems they have an, "I don't care attitude". I stayed 1 night and booked another hotel down the street even though it cost more. I will not return here. The Hotel is old, needs work, the bathrooms are very small and need remodeling.

This was a great place to stay. The staff at the front desk were very friendly. The maid did not make our beds one morning and just piled the towels on the counter. That was not a big deal, but still. Need more help maybe? I did see one bug in the bathroom. If I saw another one, I would have called. The room itself was good. The bathroom needed to be updated. Kind of run down. The access to the beach was great. Overall we would possibly stay there again. Price was decent.

My stay was fantastic. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I was going to stay at another hotel, but we had a family member pass and the service was the day after we were supposed to arrive in Florida. I called to see if I could adjust my dates by one day, and the staff was incredibly rude. I reached out to Nautilus at the very last minute and not only was it significantly cheaper, it was much nicer and the staff was more than understanding and compassionate. The day we were scheduled to return home, the weather wasn't looking so great. I work for an airline and kept receiving texts offering overtime, so I knew our flight was going to be disrupted. I asked the woman at the front desk if I could add on another day due to weather concerns, and she was very happy to assist. She even gave me a deal (without me asking) on the extra night. 13/10. Cannot recommend more.

Excellent weekend stay! Kitchenette was perfect, room was clean and smelled nice. AC worked, VERY well! Comfortable beds and the beach was excellent... Key cards were a bit of a pain, but if you tried enough times, it worked eventually. Overall, no complaints! I would definitely stay here again.

Great location on the beach that is walkable to downtown, the pier and the convention center. The rooms are comfortable and feature a complete kitchen with full size appliances. The staff is always friendly and helpful!

The perfect location right on the beach. Beautiful views from the ocean front rooms and balconies. You can walk right out to the beach from the complex. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available to rent for $65 for the entire stay. The ataff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great for dining options and recreation. Would definitely stay here again.

The views were very nice, but overall I was a bit disappointed with the general condition based on the high review score this property received. It is a decent place to stay. Also you need to pick up your morning muffin early as they would not replenish it. My advise to property: either keep it replenished or do not provide it at all!

Pros: Direct access to beach. Decent ocean view room for family of 4. Kitchenette. Comfy beds. Missed the breakfast this hotel used to have. (Last visited in 2019.) Coffee bar now in it’s place. Cons: “Pressure wash” shower in rm. 509. Bathroom fan wasn’t totally effective. Water constantly drained out of bathroom toward the front door after showers. Had to park across the street due to inadequate parking. Not enough towels (Asked for 1 more at front desk. Was told they ran out?? Given a beach towel & sent on my way.) Cookie sheet in oven hadn’t been cleaned & had remnants of a previous guest’s food.

Good service, great hotel at a good price! Everything was clean and no issues with anything. The coffee bar is just regular or decaf coffee with cream and sugar and no other breakfast to speak of but there is laundry on site (for a charge) and vending machines. Location was great as far as the beach is concerned, right on it! The pool and hot tub were very nice to have. The only thing I would say would be that the AC units are outside and so the condensation leaks down from above. Not really a huge deal, just more of an annoyance if you're sitting out on your balcony and water is dripping from above.

Excellent beach front property. Clean and well run. Breakfast is limited (coffee, tea and packaged muffins). Overall nice place in Daytona Beach.

Nautilus was located amongst the quieter end of Daytona. Lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance and/or short drive. When you walk into the hotel it has the nicest smell. Honestly I wanted to ask to buy whatever it was that they use. The room had a kitchenette. There was plenty of dishes and cookware for basic cooking. Full fridge, big microwave, and smaller stove but still full size. There was very clean carpeting. Rooms were decorated tastefully. Big balcony with beautiful view. We left the door open all night and the waves were easily heard crashing. The whole property is non smoking. You can’t smoke anywhere. Pool and hot tub were clean and it wasn’t too crowded while we were there but I could see it being a little crazy at peak time. Lots of chairs and tables. Nice stairway directly to the beach. Honestly my only complaint is that they have a coffee bar and the coffee is terrible. It comes from a little machine and it was terrible. I drank it but I didn’t like it haha. The place is awesome and for the price was well worth it. I also loved how close it was to the shops and a very well walkable distance. The elevators were very clean and pretty but could be slow at peak times. 10/10

Front desk check in was fast and friendly! Property clean ! Beds comfy! Deluxe room with an amazing view . Pool is good ! Access to beach is stairs so prepare to carry up and down . Hot tub had a yellow tinge color not sure if it was discolored or urine so didnt go in that . Location is great and close to alot of restaurants and stores
