The room itself was very nice, the balcony was beautiful. The two things I did have a problem with is the charge for parking ($16) per day and the pool has no chairs or loungers around it. Do if you want to sit by the pool bring your own chair or stand up. Which being on vacation and NOT laying by a pool for a moderately priced hotel is a major bummer

Wouldn’t have booked there if I knew you couldn’t easily get to the beach. They didn’t have access to the beach because they had it all blocked off so you couldn’t get to the beach. The back parking lot was blocked off because of two sinkholes on each end of the parking lot. The ice machine was broken. They definitely should update the website to say they don’t have access to the beach at this point in time because that was a huge disappointment.

Hotel was nothing special. Wish is was kept up like the surrounding areas. No access to the beach and no functioning hot tub. Bed was one of the worst. Definitely not going to be a next trip choice when booking. But it wasn’t the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Housekeeping only every other day. No towel racks so they just sat in a wet pile (not knowing they only clean every other day). Patio door didn’t lock (on 8th floor!). Parking lot partially closed and charged $15 per day. Told after made reservations that beach access was closed. Elevator made horrible noise. No laundry detergent in their store. Washer charged $5 when it said $3 right on the machine. But that’s it!

The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was good. No pool. Damage to the parking lot. No beach access. And you only find all this out when you go to check in. And at check-in they charge an extra $25, God knows why!

Once you booked they send you a text message that the beach accès is close and the spa is close :( the pool is as cold as the ocean and they charge 15$ per day for parking

Booked through expedia, but didnt find out until arriving that access to beach is closed, pool and hot club closed (hurricane Milton). Should have been indicated in the ad. Also one of two elevators wasnt working either which they never told anybody about. Place is tired. I book Hampton Inn because I expect to get good value but not this time. Disappointing.

Room was okay. Pool, Spa and beach access were unavailable. We were told in an email after we booked about the spa and beach access. We found out pool was closed when we got there. It’s convenient to inform after you book, then not tell about pool closure till you are there. Elevator inspections are expired since August 2024.

Rooms and Halls were dirty. Used towels were not removed after 1st day and no additional towels given. The patio door would not stay closed, apparently had a broken lock. Since when does Hampton Inn charge for parking on their lot. Hotel and property still has extensive Hurricane damage. I stayed there pre-hurricane and all was fine this time major downgrade. Will not return.

This hotel is in serious need of attention. The carpet in our room turned our feet black it as so dirty. It appeared someone had vomited as the smell in that room was of vomit and mold. The shower curtain was tattered and torn. There was takeout food left in the frig. Clearly these rooms are not being adequately cleaned.The slider leading to the deck is broken. It worked if you only open it about a foot. The ice machine is out of order on our floor. There was not a single umbrella in the pool deck to get out of the scorching heat. No beach access-ou have to walked down the street to get to the beach! I expected better from a Hilton property. Shame on you!

found major hairball on floor upon arrival. Front office Staff moved quickly to clean. Cleaning staff did not want to hear or be bothered. Stayed for a while, sheets were not changed after n3 days, as expected. As they were my sheets, decided not to push another issue. Really surprised as the HILTON standards have reverted to lesser chains. My second stay at HILTON IN two weeks. HILTON has become a second tier property. In my mind, just above super eight and best western. EXPECT LESS from this formerly premiere rental.

We arrived 4 hours late due to our flight being delayed. I tried calling several times to let them know but it was super late at night. They gave us a room and it wasn't ready. Trash bags around the room and bed wasn't done. TV was on. They gave us a second room and again that one wasnt flipped. I took pictures and went back down to the front desk and showed her the photos. She was shocked and said I need to talk to the manager on duty in the morning. She told me they would give us a full refund. She herself would tell the manager. I talked to the manager and she they couldn't give a refund but would give free parking. We were trying to decide if we wanted to stay or leave. It was 4am and we wanted to sleep so we stayed. No soap or shampoo was in the room. So had to ask the front desk. Then one day the 2nd floor rooms smelled like pot. Awful smell. So had to move to the 3rd floor. I do have say staff are nice and friendly. Pool isn't the cleanest. Lots of hair and cigarettes. The lady who does the breakfast is amazing and fun. Food for breakfast is great.

The oceanfront view was amazing. The beach was huge and the sand was clean of debris and rocks. The carpet squares in our room were gross. They need to rip them out and go with tile. The staff was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious.

Terrible smell. Horrid. I know it's ocean front, but I've stayed at plenty that never smelt as such. It looks the property is under remodel but I honestly wasn't even sure as nothing was being actively worked on. All I can remember is the smell, the wetness of the rooms. The balcony was run down and it just needs a lot of love. The location was nice.

Parking at the property is an issue if you get there late, and the room, even though, that the view was spectacular needs TLC, tue balcony doors didn’t close all the way, you have to hold the door in order to lock it, the mirror was rusted and the base of the furniture detached

Stayed for a night as we had an event the next morning. It was suitable for a night stay. There was a lot of noise around us from balcony doors opening and closing which caused the walls to shake a bit. However, the room was comfortable!

Great balcony views and perfect access to the beach. Parking is convenient, although you do have to pay an extra $16 per day to park. I wasn’t made aware of that until check-in. Breakfast is good. Lots of variety and it is served late, until 10am. Rooms are nice enough. Elevators are slow but there are two so it’s not too bad. Staff is friendly and give great restaurant recommendations! Overall, I was happy with the experience and would stay here again.

Bed was very firm and uncomfortable to sleep in. Not enough umbrellas at the pool area although the pool was very nice. Access to the Beach was difficult although I realize the hurricane damaged the Facility. I also didn’t like paying for parking.

We were only here for one night but it was a very comfortable room. The suite was actually very large and roomy. The bathroom was massive. The view from the balcony was perfection. Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy, but good.

The staff was rude and impolite. There is a daily parking fee. You don't get the same room what you see in the pictures and upon request they simply say the hotel is completely in the middle of the week and you can clearly notice from the ocean that most of the floors are available. The room service is only available alternate days even if requested. The breakfast provided was decent.

The staff at Hampton Inn Daytona Shores is super helpful. The breakfast was organized and constantly being restocked. The front desk folks are kind and thoughtful as elderly folks checking out were very confused about the process. With great patience the Front Desk manager explained in detail. Lovely setting right on the beach and don’t miss Porto Fino Italian Restaurant across the street!

Upon arrival at at 3pm we were told our room was not ready which was fine given check-in was at 4pm. We came back at 4:15 and our room still was not ready. We were told another 30 minutes. At 5pm our room was still not ready and at 5:10 we asked to speak to a manager. No manager was on site so we were put on the phone with the manager who said that 4pm arrival is not guaranteed and they were working as fast as they could. This room was paid in advance to Hotels.com however when we were able to check in we were charged an additional $25 for "incindentals". Upon our departure a $16 fee was deducted from the incindentals charge for parking. Very unhappy about this charge as we were not made aware of a parking fee from Hotels.com when booking OR from Hampton Inn at check-in. After driving for many hours we expected our room to be ready at the 4pm check-in time and to compound the situation the staff was not at all sympathetic or friendly.

We stayed there when running from Hurricane Helene.. brought my Mother in law and Father in law with me. My Mother in law has brain and lung cancer so traveling is very tiring for her. The ladies at the desk made sure that her room was up to par for her, doing a second check over before we went up just to make sure she had everything she needed to be comfortable and able to take a shower with a chair. They went over and beyond for us and it means more than they know! You could tell it was more than a job for them.. like she was family! The rooms were ocean view and was very clean w/ no issues! The breakfast was great and my In laws were very very happy with everything! Not sure of the ladies names but this was a lady looking to be in her 30s talk with dark brown hair and the head of cleaning, I think, was older lady with dirty blonde hair. Thank you 2 so much for a peaceful night!

I loved the location of this hotel, directly on a quiet beach. Only issue was parking. However, it was a holiday weekend and crowds were to be expected. Because of that, I had to rely on food delivery. I’m sure, had it been a regular weekend, this wouldn’t have mattered. Also, they had coffee available all day, we loved that. Everyone was very helpful and accommodating. I definitely will come back.

Great property and located close enough to all the annual action in Daytona Beach, but just far enough to have a quiet sleep. I'd rate the property 3.5 stars just because beach access was unavailable and closed off during our entire stay. We had to walk 3 hotels over to a public beach for access. Walking is good, but we do wish we had immediate access.

Hampton Inn is my hotel of choice, but the last 2 I've stayed in (Daytona Shores and Tulsa, OK) have not been up to the typical Hampton standards. The Daytona Shores location wasn't dirty or outdated per se, but it just felt shabby and not what I'm used to. The elevators are awful and their placement makes no sense at this location. The hotel is in an area that lacks any charm or ambience. It's an older area that is just a row of hotels and not much else.

The people who work here are friendly and helpful, they make the place special! The breakfasts were great, on different days they varied the potatoes and sausages (one day turkey sausage, kielbasa sausage, sausage patties) and other breakfast items. I thought the breakfast was excellent! I loved the spacious area where you could spread out to eat with beautiful ocean views. We had a couple fun beach days, jumping the waves and chilling under the umbrella/lounge chairs which we rented from a beach vendor. We walked to the Pier on the beach and back to check things out— loved our spot on the beach. Publix grocery store was less than .5 mile so we utilize that store a lot (great subs), and bought some fun beach things from souvenir shop across the street from hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable with a partial ocean view balcony which we enjoyed every day to read or just relax to eh sounds and sights of the ocean. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

We enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was amazing. Only thing that was slightly disappointing was the hot tub was out of order and beach access was closed off due to the hurricanes last year. Had a walk a few hotels down to safely access the beach. But the hotel can’t control the weather. Just wish it stated that when I booked. The staff was very nice. I would stay here again if the hot tub and beach access was fixed

Rooms need updating big time. I came to breakfast at 8:30am wanting waffles. Batter was out. The attendant advised it would not be replenished. Very disappointed.

There is not beach access due to the storms, the hot tub is green and nasty, their is no place to shower your feet, the breakfast was awful. My friend had black mold in her room.
