TVs we not connected to the internet for streaming of personal content. No service at the pool for drinks so everyone had to walk to order. Seems like an opportunity for the hotel to make money but also be a nice service. Needs a bit of an upgrade

Pretty out of the way from the main strip in Katoomba, probably more preferable for those with cars. Facilities were fantastic and the rooms were clean and spacious. Oftentimes staff took quite a while to address issues, as a lighbulb needed changing and I had to ask 3 times over about 7 hours before someone finally came and changed the lightbulb, and also water often took a couple of calls to be delivered. But staff were friendly and helpful when approached directly, also the maid might have been one of the most friendly people I ever briefly spoke with.

This was a great properly that has an amazing location. You can walk to so many great trails. We enjoyed having cocktails by the pool as well. We'll be back.

We have stayed many times over the last 20 years. The spa facilities need a serious revamp, and the outdoor pool was closed. It used to be open in winter time. It is a beautiful hotel, but in need of some TLC.

A beautiful and unique accommodation. Easy walk to many of katoomba's natural sites but quite a walk to the main street. The old style building was so interesting and nostalgic. I loved the snooker room and library and pool was a godsend after long hikes. Staff were lovely and breakfast was good.They did say it was being given a little facelift soon which will make it 5 out 5.

Beautiful boutique hotel. Basement parking great however entry unsatisfactory for a upmarket hotel. Need to jump out of the car to press the door button. Otherwise great place to stay. Short walk to 3 sisters.

We loved the room so spacious. We had a lovely lunch in the lounge area, the service was great and food was delicious. I found a piece of stringy piece of cloth in my mushrooms at breakfast shown to the chef who delivered my omelete, they said sorry. Some was staying in a room two doors from us and the hallway stank of smoking cigarettes.. let front desk know but the smell was still there the next morning. Our bathroom sink had a lots of chips in the enamel.

There’s a lot to like about the Lilianfels - classic old hotel feel, spacious rooms, courteous staff, excellent breakfast, and a great location for accessing nearby hiking trails and one main detraction - the property shows its age in a couple of ways (the carpet in our hotel room was somewhat threadbare, the skirt on the bed was partially shredded and the carpet in the “studio room” adjacent to the exercise room was filthy). Notwithstanding the age-related issues, we would stay at the hotel again if we were visiting the Blue Mountains area.

The staff were very friendly, beautiful location but the hotel needs to be renovated (rooms), very noisy rooms as the wind kept us awake, windows rattling! The shower door leaked a lot and the bathroom floor got very wet behind the basin area and under the bin. Overall we feel the resort is overpriced.

Are at the main restaurant in the hotel all night I got sick vomiting the place was filthy behind the side tables drink spills, carpet dirty bed rails dirty Walk and talk very loud staff communication.. overall never stay here I did tell the receptionist didn’t sound interested about me getting food poisoning

Some staff are selective and seems they don't know about surrounding properties and amenities. The maps were not comprehensive. The promotional photos were deceiving and not worth the price we paid. The beddings were terrible. There were no options on tv channels not even a simple cable channels to name a few

Had a lovely weekend away with my daughter staying here. Bedrooms are a bit dated (including needing to borrow DVDs from the front desk cupboard!) but we enjoyed dinner and breakfast and being close to morning walks and three sisters. Would stay again

Grounds and location lovely. Welcoming foyer. For the cost, would expect perfection. In-room dining menu limited healthy options, TV not working, bed head noisy, hands-free speaker on phone beside bed came on randomly throughout the night?? Beautiful hotel. We enjoyed the Christmas in July decorations. Excellent location, short walk to Echo Point and Scenic World. The only minor negative is that there’s no coffeemaker in the room, just packets of instant coffee.

A little disappointing. I have stayed previously and thoroughly enjoyed my experience, however this time my experience was quite average. Common areas are gorgeous, but my room was far from “luxurious”. While clean, it was simply not up to the standard I’d expect from a 5 star establishment.

Beautiful property conveniently located at Echo point. I loved the two pools, indoor and outdoor and the surrounding gardens. The room was generous and the bed comfortable. The lounge area was also very comfortable and inviting. However, I found the service to be terrible for a five star property. Check-in was very slow and late. We arrived an hour and a half early and not only were we not allowed to check in early but they checked us in after the advertised 3 PM time. We were not offered anything not even a drink of water while waiting for almost 2 hours. I was brought the wrong order of food on one night, plus the soup was half cold. At breakfast they said they would come to our table for an order and never came. For room service they charge an extra $10 “tray charge” which I have never seen before. The restaurant in the hotel is expensive.

Room decor we loved. Room size was amazing, we felt very spoilt. Enjoyed our dining in the lounge. Staff very professional and pleasant. Only thing against was the slow service of getting a ‘simple’ coffee with buffet breakfast. Had to ask several times. Obviously forgot our order. Apart from that incident , very enjoyable stay

Beautiful property most staff were amazing except the restaurant manager was rude didn’t even greet me. The waitress though was lovely and polite but the rude manager was treating her horribly infront of all the dinner guest which was disturbing my dinner aswell as making me upset because she was doing a much better customer service job than he did. He made me want to leave the restaurant and go elsewhere.

Staff was fabulous, tried so hard! but room was disappointingly worn and tatty. The place is under renovation and really cannot charge top dollar for the inconvenience and mess guests experience. Very very overpriced and disappointing

Arrived with a confirmed booking and was turned away. They had double booked the same room. I was holding a confirmed reservation with a confirmation number and a message “no need to call to confirm, your room is confirmed”. Appalling. Three hour drive to get there from Sydney in traffic and two hours back. No acceptance of responsibility, blamed it on Expedia. No offer of a room on a different date at a preferred rate. Terrible. Worst experience. Pretends to be up market but basic systems don’t work.

Perfect location just a short walk to Echo Point and Three Sisters. Decor is very traditional and formal (my grandmother would’ve loved it) and the grounds are lovely. Beds were comfortable and the staff were very professional.

It's a great location, just a 5-6 minute walk from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains. All the staff were very kind to me, who is not good at English. The room and the bath were spacious and comfortable. The pool in the garden was also nice. The breakfast buffet was available from 7am. It was delicious. I walked from the nearest station. It was easy going downhill, but it was very hard to walk while pulling a cart on the way back because it was a steep uphill slope. I recommend taking the bus to the

It's definitely not a 5 star hotel, The gym is pathetic, breakfast has limited chooices, the dinner room is so small you have to squeez through wherever you go. You have to queue for everthing, service is very slow, ordered coffee, it didn't come until we almost finished breakfast. when I was asking the waiter where is the milk, i was pointed to a empty milk jug, i said it's empty (pretty obvious) the response was just wait i will get to it. Ordered room service, there is $10 delivery charge???? I mean just price in the food, feels like jetstar.
