Liked the lounge sitting areas and bar facilities. Liked the dining area and particularly at breakfast the service provided by Ling was exceptional, she is a great asset. The corridors were dark and gloomy and the carpet dirty.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Heritage Mountain Hotel. The staff were excellent and catered to each guests needs. We enjoyed relaxing in the lounge after our busy day hiking and sightseeing in the Blue Mountains. We loved having a drink and watching the sunset, while listening to the pianist.

Very nice old fashioned hotel . Very close to scenic world and other national park areas. Everywhere was very clean , very nice big bedroom and staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great place to stay for blue mountains. Be careful if staying as they have no lifts so if you struggle walking up and down stairs ask for ground floor room

Old world charm hotel. Lobbies/lounges are cosy with fireplaces and ample choice of board games to play with the family. Bar and restaurant are also lovely especially for the views of the Blue Mountains. Walking distance to Katoomba St where there are restaurants and shops and short drive to Katoomba Scenic World, Leura and the Chocolate Company. Room tidy however a bit dusty in corners e.g behind bedside desks as I have asthma and it affects me. Could provide some basic amenities like shower caps. Hot water took long time to run for shower and wasn’t much force. Bathrooms could be renovated. Laundry service not available (was under maintenance) and we were relying on doing some washing however they allowed us to use their dryer which was nice. Lovely staff especially Tracey at the restaurant.

The property in many aspects is looking tired; exterior paintwork. The carpets need a good shampoo; just to remove normal wear and tear traffic dirt. Cleaning was generally good but more attention is needed to cleaning into fittings e.g. toilet cystern buttons were clean but the surrounds had small amounts of dirt around them, which would have been easily removed with attention. Still enjoyed our stay there.

Heritage hotel with spectacular views & a nostalgic charm as well as pianist playing in the bar area to enjoy a drink & snack. Stayed 3 nights though overpriced. Unfortunately housekeeping was lacking as beds left unmade, dirty tea cups, snot on one of the pillow cases, carpet need a thorough clean to remove their odour.

We enjoyed three nights here and after paying for an upgrade we secured a nice room with a small gas fireplace and spa bath. We didn’t use the spa, however the fireplace was a nice touch and kept our room surprisingly warm. We always like a room with a couch and table also. The bathroom was a little worn, with chipped tiles and very dirty grout around the toilet base. I was disappointed with housekeeping. We used wine glasses, drinking glasses, coffee mugs and spoons on our first night, which I rinsed out and left on the vanity, however in three days these never moved, they were not replaced or washed up. Also disappointed, that despite paying close to $1500 for our stay, I was charged an additional $3 for about a tablespoon of Hollandaise sauce on the side of my breakfast. I was informed of this charge prior to receiving the sauce, but it still didn’t sit right. The views, the front desk staff and restaurant staff all did a great job and seemed genuinely happy to work there.

The bed was comfortable. Bathroom small but ok. Bedroom furniture is old and has had a few knocks and scrapes. The breakfast was included in our rate and ok but no fresh fruit so had to pay extra for that. Housekeeping on day one not great as no coffee pods for coffee machine, glasses not cleared and towels not changed. Second day was better. Food in restaurant in the evening was nice and service very good

Check in not geared to paying via card stored on phone. Told it would take longer than with physical card! So returned to car to retrieve same! We were alocated a room which is not represented on website except by photo of bedside table! It was a 'dungeon' room, guessing created out of original basement. One descends from reception downstairs via narrow corridors to a room with: No view, no blackout curtains no comfy chairs no safety rails over bath. Coupled with noise from movement in upstairs room including loud plumbing noises. A very disturbed night. No adequate lighting in car park or at late entry door. The communial areas are charming as are the staff but the 'below' stairs rooms are appalling. The property was not by any means fully booked on a Monday so why irritate customers by allocating dungeon rooms. I admit we were on a discounted rate but chose room on description on Website which is definitely misleading. Beware of downstairs rooms.

Amazing views from the mountain view room. The hotel is old (heritage listed) so don't expect all the mod cons but what they do have they do well. Staff are ultra friendly and it's actually the only hotel I have had that has called me to ask if everything is ok. The walk to the main street is close although a bit hilly. Lovely large fluffy towels that my wife loved

The reception staff were wonderful..the dining room staff a little less so. The food was not as good as I had expected considering the rest of the stay..we were there Christmas eve/ Christmas day and had a gift on the door another on the bed and some sweets handed to us on arrival. There was a mix up with payment and the staff handled it with such courtesy it was not a problem. The premises are a little aged, but still better than a similar hotel further up the mountain.

The building was beautiful and well maintained. Reception staff were amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant was a bit disappointing. Very expensive and the older waiter was very rude and the food was either undercooked or overcooked. Would stay there again but would probably not eat at the restaurant again.

We had a great stay at this hotel. All the services were excellent, and the location was very convenient — close to the town center and nearby attractions. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist with anything we needed. Check-in was very fast and easy, which made the whole experience even better. Beautiful location with a warm welcoming feel. The Christmas in July theme was a nice touch. Our room was spacious, clean, and very well presented. Check-in was fine but service overall was poor. We waited 2-hours for breakfast before we had to cancel our order due to the delay. We were also unable to order room service the evening of our stay due to Yule. This celebration was not communicated with us as part of booking or check-in as we would have made a reservation. We had a 1YO with us so having the leave the hotel once we found out the restaurant and room service was unavailable was inconvenient. All staff were friendly but overall service standard in the restaurant was a missed opportunity.

We chose a mountain view room & had a wonderful view of the mountains. Nigel was great, he gave us good advice & was fun to talk to. Location was good - a short walk to Katoomba main street. The hotel had an outdoor veranda where you could have a drink & take in the amazing views.

Lovely property with eclectic furnishings. My only concern was when walking to the property from the station I was faced with steep stairs. Carrying my luggage up them I considered almost dangerous. It was only after that I found a safer option at the back. There were no signs indicating this alternative entrance to the building.

We had paid for two full breakfasts. When my wife ordered a smaller breakfast option "eggs your way" ,...but with bacon, she was charged extra for the bacon!. So her much smaller meal cost more than my full breakfast.!!

Kids absolutely loved the room - it was spacious and clean with a cosy fireplace in the room. The only thing was that the restaurant was a bit nitpicky with making the kids pay for an 18 dollar continental breakfast when they are only 3 and 5 years but eat barely anything, even though the adults already ordered a full breakfast and the continental breakfast is meant to be complimentary.

The room and adjoining bathroom were both spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed. The restaurant was lovely with a beautiful view of the Blue Mountains, although, the picture windows could do with a clean. The breakfast was wonderful, with grab and go options, as well as order from the menu hot meal options, both sweet and savoury. We had dinner once, in the dining room, and the meal was beautiful. It was a fine dining experience, but casual dress was acceptable. The hotel has old world charm, and is quite lovely. The floorboards do have a bit to say, so I'm not sure how much noise the rooms downstairs would hear? You do hear residual noises from doors closing, but otherwise, it's a very quiet hotel, within walking distance from Katoomba train station and the main shopping precinct. The hop on/off bus was a fabulous way to see the Blue Mtns if you don't have a car. We would stay here again.
