Great hotel with pool and roof terrace with hot tub. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice for everyone. Lovely staff. Really good location by the shops and restaurants. 10 minute walk to the free public beach (albeit small, but plenty of room in early June)

Perfect central location. Parking is limited and 25 euro a day.

Views of the mountains and the sea. Pool was fantastic. Staff goes above and beyond.

We stayed in Hotel Villa Maria in Sorrento for 9 nights. The hotel is located in very close proximity to all the restaurants and shops, very walkable and very safe area to stay in. It’s right at the beginning of Corso Italia the main street all the way to Piazza Tasso. We enjoyed having breakfast in the hotel every morning which was very convenient. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with accommodations, and giving us information about the places we wanted to go, bus stations, the nearest beach which was 15 minutes walk from the hotel, ferries, train station. Our room had ocean view and every morning we absolutely enjoyed looking at Mount Vesuvius and the ocean from our balcony. The room was outdated but in Italy that’s how the rooms are. Overall we truly enjoyed our stay in Hotel Villa Maria and Sorrento. I highly recommend this hotel for those who want to visit Sorrento. Everyday we picked another city to visit: Pompeii with train, Capri and Anacapri with ferry, Positano with ferry, Amali/Ravello by bus. The hotel has a pool and bar/restaurant that you can order drinks or dine in addition to the main restaurant for breakfast which was included in our hotel booking and dinner which you will need to pay. We also had room service every day.

We originally booked here because it was close to the hospital, where our daughter was being treated. Just one minute away! At the base of a beautiful scenic 400m hillside, the Hotel Villa Maria has exceeded our expectations! Our room was clean and comfortable and comes with a private balcony! The hotel staff is very accommodating and the restaurant manager Luigi makes everyone feel special upon arrival! The pool is very nice and full of sunshine, and the pool bar is very reasonable. The drinks are delicious! Wonderful pool staff! Don’t forget on Thursday night that you have a pool party with a DJ, which is quite entertaining! 😂 The front desk staff has been very helpful as we have needed a number of things printed and prepared for the hospital, and they have been very accommodating, and full of smiles! They speak very good English, not needed but use Google translate to help sometimes. 😊 We’ve had to extend our trip a couple of times and they have been been helpful. The hotel is close to the main street of Sorrento. Just a short walk to everything it has to offer. I think you pay a little less because you are off the main strip, and it is probably quieter too. Don’t forget to go up to the sixth floor and take some pictures! You see all of Sorrento, Naples, Mount Vesuvius and all the other cities nearby. Just beautiful! Excellent close to main attractions & when we did our excursions they picked us up right outside the hotel. Clean, pool is nice , rooftop nice view, breakfast was great 👍

Hotel Villa Maria is a beautiful hotel with the most amazing staff. The location is perfect for a visit to Sorrento and surrounding towns. We enjoyed meals and drinks by the pool and watched the sunsets on the rooftop patio. On-site parking was not available however but the hotel offers a valet parking option which is quite reasonable.

Mycket bra service både i reception och övriga funktioner, rent, bra valet parking funktion då det är svårt med parkering i Sorrento. Bra frukost.

Everything was good pleasant helpful staff clean rooms good food. Just the parking was small and a little inconvenient. But overall really good

The location and pool were nice. The room was clean but the bathroom was small and the shower was clogged. When you turned it on, dirt came up from the drain. Absolutely disgusting. We were told that housekeeping wouldn't be in until 9am the next day, so we couldn't take a shower after traveling all day. Overall an ok stay

The location of the hotel is great as well at the pool area and bar. The buffet breakfast is ok with all the usual food types. The low rating relates to the cleaning staff leaving our room unlocked and with the door open after cleaning for approximately 8hrs while we were out sightseeing. Also we requested for our mini bar to be removed on check in and twice more over the next 2 days without a result, on the second last day they removed the contence and just left it in the room. There was also mould on the ceiling of our room.

The pool and continental breakfast is what sold me on this property. The kids loved it! The heated pool was nicely sized and there were always lounge chairs available. The beds were comfortable so we got a good night sleep. The windows were great at blocking out most of the noise from commuter cars and bikes. We did have a few of the sea. The room came with a small safe for vaulables and refrigerator. The refrigerator was mainly filled with hotel beverages for a cost and restocked daily. The staff was efficient at the main front desk, in the restaurant, and at the pool bar. The property could use some modern improvements in the condition of the room/ presentation. The bed covers look like they are from the 90’s and had a fool scent. The additional bedding comforter provided in the linen closet had multiple stains. The light switch plates were falling off the wall, and the shower head holder in the bathroom was broken. Hotel Villa Maria overall is a nice place to stay and within a few steps of downtown Sorrento. I would recommend this property.

Really great hotel in a fantastic location. Brilliant friendly service and high level of cleanliness, the pool and sun terrace facilities were also a nice addition with stunning views. Could be a little noisy in the evenings (doors/ people etc) fine for me as a solo traveller- maybe a room on a higher floor is better for those with families!

Location is excellent. Decent breakfast options. Friendly nice Staff. The room given to me was noisy next to the street and the pool and bathroom.AC in the room extremely cold and the remote wasn't working until one of the staff came and reset it. Still it was too cold. I was told to turn off the vent which I did and it got hot. I did mention about the room next to pool bathroom but was told if I don't like I can change. But room change time next day was too late and the day after we were too busy to pack and again and move. So had to stay and deal with this.(didn't get good sleep on the nights stayed)Except for the room, Everything else was good. I would book here again and not economy room and def not this room.

Tivemos uma ótima estadia, atendimento dos funcionários foi excelente em tudo que precisamos, estava com crianças pequenas e meu marido ficou indisposto então precisei pedir ajuda com comida e fui muito bem atendida. O espaço do quarto é muito bom, decoração temática, de muito bom gosto. Único Ponto a melhorar: chuveiro. O chuveiro era bem pequeno e sem pressão da água, a área de chuveiro pequena é bem antiga.

Clean room, decent space except shower which was size of a phone booth. Our room 113 was next to main thoroughfare therefore noisy 24/7

We booked an economy double room. Unfortunately, no exact size information was given on the website. The pictures made the room look much larger, so we were disappointed by the actual size. For two people, the space was very limited, there was only a single-door wardrobe, although the photos showed a two-door one. Overall, it was hardly possible to move around in the room with two people. The photos definitely gave a different impression. In our opinion, the room is highly overpriced for what it offers. The room was located on the 4th floor under the roof, with sloping ceilings and oval windows that you could not look out of. In addition, the elevator only went up to the 3rd floor. On the positive side, we would like to mention the very good location, the cleanliness of the hotel, and the friendly staff. Everything else was fine – only the size and furnishings of the room did not meet our expectations.

It took them 2 days to fix the TV.

The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The delicious breakfast was an additional bonus. We love the sea view from our room.

Shower big enough for average size adult to stand (barely) & not bend over. Bed basically 1950s couch. Some staff superb, others not. Asked for glass or bottle of water at check out in order to take a pill- told to walk upstairs and buy one from pool (€500 / night room). Asked for change at Desk for €20, told they don’t have change. This is a Motel 6, but in Sorrento

The staff were incredibly helpful, professional and couldn't do enough for us. We travelled with our 6 year old daughter and they made her time both fun and easy. We look forward to returning in the future.

The restaurant and pool bar staff were friendly. The breakfast was delicious. The staff in the lobby answered all of our questions. The location was great and within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach. The view from our balcony was beautiful. The air conditioning in our room worked. Room was just a little on the small side but since we only slept there and sat on the balcony in the evenings it was manageable.

Front desk Francisco ioly Spanish girl everyone was nice Except at check out I checked out my bill one day before and paid on the original check out day we where in a hurry and got told off call thief lady Anna kept saying Mr Mr u haven’t paid and double charged me and I ask for respect but she kept screaming Mr u need to pay we wife showed her all the credit card charges and they even try to charge me a extra $10.00 drink so sad I got embarrassed very bad and screaming was not wright Anna must be talked to thought she was nice bad

Every time you enter the lobby it smells like cigarettes. Our original room only had ONE outlet, holes in the wall. I paid more for ocean view there was none. Also I paid for a triple room as we were 3 people. The room was so small we couldn’t even walk around each other and all shared one electrical outlet. They moved me after two nights to a better room with a nice view and electrical outlets on each side of the bed. I asked the hotel to call a taxi to go to Maya Beach. They said it was 150!! That sounded high but relentlessly I agreed as I had a reservation to get to on time. The taxi showed up with two men, I asked why he said a second driver. Very suspicious. They spoke in Italian the whole time which was rude. The taxi was dirty and the driver stopped short constantly and was unsafe. I called a private driver to return to hotel he charged me 100, I had a polite well dressed driver. The hotel affiliates with crooks because 50 Euro difference for the same trip is ridiculous on its own, then add two male drivers speaking in Italian the whole ride, and unsafe driving. I would never recommend this hotel or Umberto from Sorrento city cabs. I would recommend Rino from Sorrento easy travel. Professional, clean cars, fair prices.

Hotel was in a great location, close to the main street of shops, bars and restaurants. Ten minute walk to the train station to travel to Pompeii and Vesuvious. Rooms are dated, but adequate. The pool area was excellent, very clean with lots of longers and a good bar. Seven minute walk to the Ferry Terminal to travel to Capri ans surrounding islands.

We had a wonderful stay in early July. It was wonderful to cool off in the pool after our daily excursiona. Located just outside of the busiest walking area, so we have the convenience without the bustling noise.

The hotel location is perfect for someone who likes to be near the shore specially if you get the sea view room with balcony as I got. The staff are very polite and helpful. The rooms and furnitures are old style as seen in the pictures but they’re clean. The breakfast buffet is perfect.You can walk to shopping area, restaurants and to the seashore to get your tour boats. Overall got a very good vibe.

Notre séjour s'est très moyennement passé en raison de la vétustée des chambres qui ressemblent plus à un 3 étoiles qu'autre chose. La nourriture au bar est très chère et de qualité moyenne. Le simple fait de s'asseoir à une table à 3 coûte deja 15 euros ! La puscine est correcte sans plus, le jacuzzi pourrait être bien si l'eau était chaude! Autre point négatif : le transfert en taxi de l'hôtel à l'aéroport (env 40 km) coûte 170 euros!!! La plupart des choses sont très chères pour une prestation et un matériel très quelconques. Les chambres sont tres coûteuses alors que là aussi, tout est très quelconque.

Great place to stay. Staff is very helpful and service was excellent. Breakfast was great and the drinks and food at the pool was my families favorite. The only thing we didn’t like was the size of the shower, it is small. And our wives didn’t like that you have to hold the power button down on the hair dryer to keep it working. Bring your own. But we will definitely stay there again the next time we are in Sorrento.

Helt okej hotell. Aningens hårda sängar men välstädat och det finns tillgång till extra kuddar i rummet. Poolen är bra med maten som serverades vid poolrestaurangen föll oss inte alls i smaken. Trevlig frukost! Cirla 15 minuters promenad (1,6 km) primenad från tågstationen.
