The only window/view is from the bathroom not the bed so you have no privacy in the bathroom unless drawing a curtain in the bathroom and no view from the room… - tvs had no way to stream TV so you were stuck with whatever local Spanish channels with maybe some limited English. - room guide was confusing, had to call reception to explain what the dining/bar options are and was still confusing. Online information was hard to find. - very limited room service options - faint but strange foul odor in the hallway Overall the hotel is a reasonably clean, comfortable enough space but is a terrible design, lacks basic privacy in the bathroom. Beware travelers, it is not a 5-star hotel. Rooms are poorly maintained (dented and scratched furniture) and the common areas are worn out. Not worth the asked price at all. Very disappointed.

o I decided to stay at the W because it was a 5 star hotel and of course is a world renowned hotel chain. But I was sadly disappointed. The hallway by my room was a bit old looking and shabby and the room are definitely outdated. The pictures make the rooms look very cool and chic but honestly they look like they’re from the 80’s. Also there isn’t such great ventilation so the room smelled a bit musty. The bed was also very hard and stiff, so my partner and I had a few sleepless nights. Also the rooms had such thin walls so you could hear the shower turn on next door…. Or the neighbors dog barking. Definitely wouldn’t classify this as a five star hotel. The rating is either old or was given because it’s a hotel chain. Do yourself a favor and stay at a nicer 4 star hotel that also isn’t so overpriced.

The staff was especially great and helpful. Especially Rogelio, probably the Bell Captain. Very easy to get picked up within a couple of minutes by ride share services. The breakfast was very good, especially the espresso and variety of the spread. We got a nice room with a view on the 12th floor and the room was also of good size and extremely well maintained.

The hotel is located at a luxury area with a lot of chic restaurants. It is close to Avenida Presidente Masaryk and Paseo de la Reforma. The room is spacious, clean, stylishly decorated with a very good view. Staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, making me feeling at home.

The staff was very friendly, especially in the dining room. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t like the design of the bathroom. There was no door for privacy. The toilet and shower were enclosed in 2 separate areas but when coming from the shower it was very cold since the bathroom was open. The room was quiet at night, but we could hear other guests and water running. The concierge gave us a fan the next night and we slept better with the sound.

Mal. Pague tres noches de un suite. La primera noche mi entrada era a las 3 pm, pero mi vuelo llegaba en la madrugada posterior. Sin embargo como no llegué en el transcurso de la tarde, rentaron mi suite y me mandaron a una habitación estándar. Me dijeron que me darían mi suite a las 11 am, luego que a las 12 y luego que hasta las 3 pm. Me la entregaron hasta las 6 pm. ¿Cómo rentan una suite que está pagada?. Yo pagué la noche para llegar al hotel y entrar de inmediato a mi suite, todo desvelado y cansado del viaje y me suite rentada a otros huéspedes. La respuesta del personal del hotel fue que no avise que llegaría en la madrugada…Patético…

We booked this hotel last minute (day of arrival) as our travel plans changed. We chose the W because of previous positive experiences at other W hotels and that it was rated 5 star. First, W Mexico City is not a 5 star. - it is 4 star (in Mexico). our room was very weird, awkward bathroom with doors that open outward, dated decor circa 1995. disappointments included coffee in the lobby. there was complementary coffee in the lobby on Sunday. but on our departure day Monday (today), there was not. they directed me to the restaurant on the 1st floor where i got 2 take-out coffees. The host then gave me a room charge to sign - which surprised me given the bartender downstairs sent me upstairs to get coffee.... (see where I'm getting?). On the positive, the Concierge was helpful in translating a business voice mail directory in Spanish that i needed to contact. Also, The spa was very nice, with attentive staff. Lastly the location in Polanco is excellent, easy to walk around and enjoy and convienent to local attractions like the Anthropoligy Museum and Zoo. Personally, I would not stay there again. I would look at other options.

We had a wonderful time at W Mexico celebrating 70th Birthday of four friends. Concierge sers were amazing. LUIS, Jasmine, Javier and David took care of all our need. Axel Uribe greets us every time we entered and exited hotel.

Tengo vario tiempo hospedandome en w mexico en cada una de mis visitas a la ciudad y siempre todo excelente, peeo en esta ocasión fue decepcionante, llegamos un poco temprano y entiendo que aun no tenian la habitación lista, me dijeron que a las 3 de la tarde en punto tendrian mi habitacion, nos retiramos a comer y todo bien hasta ese momento, regresamos 3:30 y me comentan que aun no estaba lista que era cuestion unos 40 o 50 minutos mas, cuando yo le había comentando en la mañana a la persona del check in que tenia un evento y necesitaba la habitación a tiempo, me tuvieron esperando muchísimo tiempo, casi a las 4 me acerco de nuevo al mostrador y me dicen q aun nada pero la persona nisiquiera volteo a verme fue muy grocero, le dije q pues eran las 4 y q tenia un evento y de mala gana se pone a ver algo en la pantalla y me dice ok aqui esta la llave de tu habitación, fue grocero y descortes eso jamas me habia pasado en esta propiedad, decepcionante no vuelvo y todo por culpa de su personal

Nice rooms, great service, and excellent location! 24 hour room service, and be sure to try the fish tacos. Polanco is a safe area for walking to shops and restaurants. The food in the area is amazing! Everything is a 5-15 minute walk. Or Uber for only $3 - $5.

It was my second time staying in the hotel and again I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is located at a superb location - quiet and safe with lots of nice cafes and restaurants. It is close to many attractions including Museo Nacional de Antropología and the shopping street Avenida Presidents Masaryk. The hotel itself is very lively. There are always spectacular events and activities happening in the hotel. My room was very cozy, spacious and with a good city view. I again had dinner at the hotel restaurant Trivvu. Food was good, atmosphere was cozy and staff service was superb as always. In particular staff member Giovanny gave me excellent recommendations and dedicated service. I would certainly choose the same hotel if I visit Mexico City again.
