We checked in and the room had a terrible smell. No other rooms available and after complaining 3 times they decided to clean the carpet so we couldn’t get in the room till 11pm. Air conditioner is very old and loud and you can hear everything from the rooms next door. For $500 a night you expect alot better

I didn’t like the blood stained pillow case that stayed throughout the trip. I didn’t like that the room was so tiny for the amount of money I paid. I didn’t like that there wasn’t a single drawer in the entire place to store our clothing. Do better if you’re going to charge nearly $500 per night

Why we gave it two stars is bc of the mold in the shower, we got a nicer room for our stay and finding mold in the shower isn’t something you would expect for the price we paid. We did inform the front desk so hopefully they took care of that. During our stay in the area it also was the only hotel that charged us for parking. The one thing that is nice about this hotel is the location and the staff is kind.

Hotel was “okay”it’s an older hotel with its age showing. Dirty carpet along hallways, lobby is tired and dark. Rooms were a good size with comfortable pillows and bed. Bathroom was tiny. Worst part of our stay was the noise from The hallways and other rooms. Can hear people on the phone from arrows the hall with door closed.

Paid for the superior room with balcony. Was put in a room facing parking lot with a couple of chairs in front of patio door. Asked to be away from parkade and moved to an upper level (no patio) which is cheaper. Not reimbursed for cheaper room and was told it was the same cost. Very loud AC unit that goes off and on all night leading to poor sleep. No cabinet to store clothing. Very small unit. Very overpriced for lack of quality in room. Not a great place to stay with children. Positives were beautiful area, easy access to main area of town and nice gym/pool.

We stayed two nights at the end of August. In town for a wedding, we chose this location based on the bride/groom's recommendation and its proximity to the wedding venue. We were busy all weekend so didn't get to take advantage of any of the amenities (pool, restaurant/lounge, workout facilities), but our room was very comfortable and clean. We requested a quiet room and were placed on the 2nd floor at the end of the hall overlooking the back parking lot (by the way, we found it so much easier to park back there than in front which was super crowded). While we could occasionally hear our neighbors above and beside us, it was overall peaceful. There are some food and drink options right outside the hotel doors, and you're also an easy 10-15 minute walk to downtown Canmore. We happily left the car parked at the hotel and did all our exploring on foot. Staff was friendly when we checked in and greeted us each time we returned. My only gripe is that they charge for parking. It's a nominal $10/night, but I'd guess most people staying here are driving a vehicle, so why not just work this into the room rate? Anyway, I'd happily stay here again.

The property was ok but service could be better. Check in and check out as the worst experience. Their billing and accounting is screwed up if you probably book with third party like Expedia. I still have pending billing issue and spent a long time and still they screwed up and. Charged two different cards. I have left multiple messages for General Manager but still has not heard back. A lots of inconvenience and frustration while my family had to wait in the car.

The hotel was average. Minor issues like missing items in the rooms and raisins in the ice bin. Front staff were not super welcoming or accommodating. They had a lot of issues with their system and could not check us out. Did not offer anything for the inconvenience.

I didn't like that you had to pay for parking. The cost of the room was $600 a night, there to attend a wedding at 4, and they couldn't ensure those booked in for the wedding could do early check in. No breakfast was offered either and it was an older hotel, nothing special in Canmore

I accidentally booked a room that does not allow dogs, even though the hotel does. I also required an early check-in as we were attending a wedding at the same time as the usual check-in. No GOLD VIP perks here! The staff refused to honor the free room upgrade, even though there were multiple options available. This property should not be listed as VIP. They actually expressed a lot of annoyance and inconvenience with Expedia guests, so perhaps they should be removed from the platform entirely to relieve them of the responsibility of honoring Expedia promotions that customers expect. Also expect to pay a surprise daily parking fee here upon check in. I've stayed in Canmore a lot and this is the only hotel I've come across that charges for guest parking.

Not sure why this is VIP hotel. Totally average and I had to pay 10.50 for parking, which is unheard of in Alberta for staying at a hotel. No food option at hotel due to renovation, but then no recommendations near by. No options for breakfast.

Very convenient location. Easy walk to downtown via the Policmans Creek trail shortcut. Blake and the Grizzly Paw restaurants are also within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and Table, the hotel restaurant was very good too. I would stay here again in the future!
