Liked: The price as compared to other hotels in the area. Disliked: No elevator. We were given room on second floor and were asked to somehow carry the big bags up the staircase. The hotel provides no help with carrying the heavy bags. The inn comes across as not customer oriented.

Quick day trip to get 2 days skiing in. For the price the hotel was great. No pool or hot tub but for a last minute booking the price was unreal.

Great location, very nice staff especially the woman who checked us in. Beware though, we were parked in their parking lot, we checked in at 11:20, our car was ticketed $75!!! Hotel took care of that and we also saw other cars had tickets on their windshield. Perfect for an overnight stay!

Clean sheets and good shower pressure. Good sized area with 2 queen size beds. Really small sized TV, small fridge is available which is very useful to put your soda bottles and take outs. Wished there is a microwave in the room though which is standard to have them in the room but they do have it in their reception floor location. Wished there is an elevator and a cart to bring up or bring down your stuff. My husband had injured his knee and had a challenge doing so. Super friendly staff. The pillows were a little flat and had to ask for a couple more pillows and staff gladly accommodated my request. View of the mountain is awesome, you can hear trains passing by but we didn’t mind. Limited parking, no spots left after 9:00 when you come back to the hotel after going out for dinner. Good location, great access to food, groceries with supermarkets around. No hot tubs and pools but they’re close to Elevation place and has a great pool and other activities that kids would love. All in all, good place for a weekend stay. They can lower the rate considering there is no hot tub or pool.

The location was great. The hotel is older and some updates could make it an excellent choice. Carpeting throughout building is quite worn and may hold some scent not totally pleasing. Room was large. Clean. Bed was comfortable. Pillows were excellent. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Bathroom was clean.

The only good thing about this inn is its location, which is close to Banff. All the other conditions are very poor and old. The shower head is broken, hair was found on the towels and bed sheets.

I was staying in Canmore prior to an appointment in the morning. I found it not as clean as I wished as there was hair on the bathroom floor. This just made me wonder about the overall cleanliness. Some spots in the bathroom floor I think we're more wear and tear. I could hear the train rumble down. The tracks both at night and in the morning.

The location is good, but you can hear everything, we were lower level and could hear walking above us. Rugs are dirty and some areas could use updating. Would be nice to have a breakfast included for the price you pay, but all hotels are expensive in Canmore.

Great hotel for decent price. Booked through Expedia got a decent rate for a Sunday night stay while traveling. Clean bed comfortable room. I always get a room away from the parking lot and lucked out got Mountain View it was nice. Carpets in the entrance way area bit worn but this is a resort town upgrades are difficult when peak season is almost year round. Great pillows , clean bedding. We didn’t use the micro, fridge or snacks but amenities were all clean. Would stay again. Get there early parking is at a premium.

Thin walls, my young son and I could hear people arguing loudly in the halls, which was a bit intimidating, rodent (mice) sound/light deterrent in the main hallway (not comforting!!), an over-powering glade plug-in the bathroom that I didn't discover until morning when it was too late and my sinuses were completely congested. Tight parking stalls. The young guy at the front desk was friendly and helpfully pointed out that there is no one available at night... You would need to call security for assistance. If you need a place to stay for one night because you are passing through, this may suffice?...

We arrived late after a 12 hour drive. We were unable to check in and had to wait almost 15min for a member of staff to turn up. He was kind and helpful. On the way to our room we noticed a large patch of carpet that was lose in places. It was taped down and just looked odd. Once in our room we went straight to bed only to be woken by the most awful sound of rushing water. This was caused by the person in the room above having a shower. The noise went on for 15min. Then we were woken a number of times by doors opening and closing in the corridor. Its the worst night we have ever experienced.

The stay was actually good. However, during thr check in, the front desk staff asked to take my physical credit card for deposit purpose which made me suspicious right on spot. And it’s the only place where I provided the actual card. Two weeks later, I have multiple fraudulent transactions posted on my card. Am I supposed not to connect the dots?

This is a cute little gem of a budget hotel in Canmore if you don’t need anything fancy such as a pool, gym or hot tub. They offer free coffee at the reception which I though was a nice tough. Drip coffee makers, mini fridge, hairdryer in room. Rooms are clean and fairly large compared to other budget Canmore hotels. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, and not far from downtown Canmore. We had a great mountain view!

Mountain View Inn is a great place to stay in Canmore. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay while in town and go to Banff with ease. We love its close proximity to local restaurants, stores and shuttle bus areas. The room is nice and clean with a mini fridge, microwave and sink. We would stay longer but they were fully booked. This is a beautiful property. I chose specifically because it doesn’t allow animals.(a barking dog @ a different hotel near this one) It’s clean & conveniently located. There’s lots of restaurants up the road. Only a short drive to Banff hot springs!

A very basic hotel room. Cleanish. Tiny soaps. No dedicated parking. No elevator. No front desk personnel after 10 p.m. The listing did not state this was a 2 star property. Also not stated that if you stay longer than one night room cleaning is extra!!! Would not book again.

Mountain View Inn is a great place to stay in Canmore. We couldn't ask for a better place to stay while in town and go to Banff with ease. We are a family of four (two adults, two kiddos). Mountain View Inn was clean and comfortable. Budget friendly. Easy parking, friendly staff, and good eating options in Canmore. (No dining at hotel itself.) Be aware that there is no elevator if you are on second floor.

“You get what you pay for” don’t expect a 4-5 star service. You will get an actual key for your room, if you lost it you will pay $100 for each key. No microwave in the room, didn’t bother to ask coz I assume they don’t have spare for the guest. There’s common area with tables and microwave and coffee in the morning. Unlucky us, we’re almost on the end of the hallway so we have to walk far just to heat up our food. Front staff people are nice tho but if you have extra try other more decent hotel to stay in Banff or Canmore..
