Property has a hot tub but it was closed during time of stay and seems to have been closed for some time according to other reviews but this information was not provided by property online. Waited fifteen minutes to get our room (was booked in advance) which was fine but the sheets had stains near the headboard which was odd for a room that should've been freshly cleaned. Overall the staff were decent and there were no problems with them, the property itself could be unkept a little better.

free breakfast buffet was good. The pool towels were never available which means people dripping wet throughout the hotel. The hot tub has been closed for ever. Really disappointing. This was my favorite part of the hotel. I won't be staying again until its fixed.

Nice hotel. Hot tub was out of service and was one of the main reasons we had picked this hotel. Also, when booking the room, I thought we'd get a bathtub, but it was just a shower. That's not bad, but we have a 4 year old and were hoping to let him play in the tub. Otherwise, we had a very nice stay.

Checked in around 7p and staff was running around saying there were no rooms, after waiting several minutes to check in while 3 staff members were behind the desk talking, got a room that was “just cleaned”. Chips on the carpet and ground in the carpet. Used washcloth still in bathtub. Used kcup in coffee maker. Body wash container was empty.

Pool needs routine cleaning. Air vents in rooms need regular cleaning. There was mold inside the actual unit and the air filters have not been cleaned in a while. Over all clean and friendly. All services were professional and quick. Bartender Francis was the best.

Moved a chair closer to the lamp and found previous guests’ clothing. Pillows were flat and worn out. Asked for a different pillow at front desk and was given a slightly less worn one from a vacant room. Brown splash on door frame of bathroom. Sink leaked onto countertop, apparent attempted repair with thick second layer of grout. Bed was comfortable and bedding and towels were clean. Staff was friendly.

Liked the vibe of the hotel. I have started in this chain before and would have liked to see more taxidermy. The fireplaces were great though. The room was much larger than expected and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Loved the fireplace in the room, so cozy.

Not much around it so you have to drive a bit for anything. We had to have the sheets changed when we showed up due to wear and stains. One of the lamps didn’t work, and the charging station would just stop working randomly. I wish there were curtains because the blinds don’t block enough light. The bed was fairly comfortable and the breakfast looked standard - I grabbed a bagel and cream cheese before hitting the road. Water pressure was good. The hotel itself was a bit dated but seemed decently kept up. I really appreciated the fans in the hallway as it was 90 degrees during my stay.

We had a 2nd floor annex room and it had a dormer window in it of all things. Woke up at 5 am due to sunlight pouring in. This is a very poorly designed feature. Customers should either be able to block that dormer or it should be redesigned to make the window and huge open area in the ceiling blocked off.

The room was nice. The only problem, the coffee maker wasn't working. The breakfast was poor. We went out to eat. The biggest problem was they double charged me. I had already paid through expedia. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Even though the manager said, she dropped the charge it was posted to my account.

We got here at 3 pm which was check in time and was told it would be 30-40 minutes . I checked back in 30 minutes and was told another 30 minutes. By the time they came and got us from the lounge it was 545 and the girl at the front desk was very rude. At one point she told me we can just give you your money back and you can be on your way.

They seem to be having staffing issues as they weren’t able to handle the amount of check-ins on a holiday weekend in a timely manner. It took over 2 hrs for a room to become available. They offered drink tokens as apology but it was hard to find service in the bar area. Very disappointing stay.

The first room we stayed in for the first part of our day was excellent. The staff has absolutely gone over and beyond to help myself because I have a broken wrist so they helped carry items, really accommodated what I needed. We had to move to another building due to them working on the water heater. I upgraded to the premier suite. Unfortunately, we had a couple issues with that room. The cable wasn’t working, there were a few things that were broken. The other issue that I had is that there’s no Manager on staff for the weekend. That is one of the busiest times of the week so it was hard to have to wait to talk to somebody to get these things fixed. We ended up having to stay in the room without the Cable in the living areaand the other issues. But, I cannot compliment the staff enough. The manager that I was able to speak to Monday, was very upset that our stay had ended like it did. She made sure to get the maintenance staff right on that room to be fixed for the Next guests. She was absolutely wonderful and very understanding. She made sure that we were taken care of. So as far as a hotel that has wonderful staff, I would absolutely recommend there. It’s not very often that every staff member you run into at a hotel is extremely nice like they were. Even the housekeeping went out of their way.

No power 3hr delay in check in. Upon checkin our accessibility room has no walkin shower and the tub/shower has no seat. This location never answers the phone. We stay here every year at this time and every year its difficult to ever speak with anyone at the desk at this property. I never complain ..we weren't allowed to check in on time (power outage was out of their control traffic accident knocked out power) not being able to get into our room ruined our dinner plans ... next morning we wanted to do a late check out but I tried 11x's to get front desk to answer the phone 8a-10a. Finally gave up ...loading our car at 11:02a. Our keys quit working.. i know its probably an auto lock out at 11a but couldn't check in for 3hrs passed time and 2 min late i cant get in our room as we are trying to leave. Maybe answer your phone would help. Years of staying at this property i doubt we will ever return

Hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. The room was clean, inviting and restful. The scenery is pretty great in that the hotel overlooks the river. A hidden gem for sure! We will be back.

i arrived at 9p.m . with an Expedia Reservation afterdriving for 2hours to be told there are no rooms available and staff would only tell me i had to call Expedia and rejected my request for a conference call with Expedia. piss pour reception and even lesser service from staff behind front desk. I am in no hurry to return. Yes i did resolve my accomdation issue no thanks to Stoney Creek's staff. if this an example of service level my experience not consistent with property reviews.

There was no daily or even every other day housekeeping. My trash was full! Would be nice to have that service at least once in 3 nights of a stay. The whirlpool was out of service which was a disappointment. This is not the fault of the employees but the breakfast area each morning was total chaos! Rude guests, messy with the food, no sense of waiting in line just taking over the whole buffet like it was their own kitchen and the poor staff could not keep up! Very crowded for any number of people to enjoy.

The hot tub is still broken. The beds were not queen size. Our breakfast was not good. There was no drinks except water, they were out of everything. We even went down at 8am and there should have been drinks left. No coffee or milk even. There were no towels in the pool area. This is the second time in two months I have stayed and it was the same the first time. I do not think I will go back.

I had to book last minute. The room was clean and nice. The bed was not firm, and I had to use all the pillows to get comfortable as none of them had any firmness to them. The breakfast was not good. The bagels may have been fresh several days ago, but they were hard.
