Elevator was broke

We had a great stay. Very comfortable. Pool was freezing cold and there were no pool towels.

The hotel staff was very friendly and the beds and sheets were clean and bug free. However, the room was in poor condition. Broken pictures hanging lopsided in the bathroom, mystery stains on walls/carpets/seating, broken door locks and handles, the carpet couldn’t be walked on with bare feet due to an uncomfortable sticky type sensation throughout. The pool, which is part of why I booked (for the kids to enjoy while we were visiting relatives) had so much free chlorine that my oldest daughters eyes burned for several hours after and she had mild chemical burns around her eyes. I never put my head under the water, but I can confirm having had water splashed directly in my eyes and the burning sensation was intense and prolonged. As someone who owned a pool for 4 years, this is a poorly chemically maintained pool at best and a health hazard at worst. So be aware of that. Otherwise the pool was clean and warm. The breakfast offered was ok. There were some aspects that were good and others that weren’t. The juices watered down too much while we were there and a lot of the offerrings were tasteless or on its way out the door. Overall, it was unsatisfying as none of it was good enough to really fill up on. Overall, it met some of my expectations from prior reviews, but was a bit worse off than I gathered from the reviews left by previous guests. I would not bring my family back due to the lack of cleanliness, ill kept/slightly hazardous pool, and disappointing breakfast

All staff was super great and friendly. Breakfast was great also and the indoor pool was so warm.

My stay was good. The room was clean & lady at front desk was pleasant. The parking lot is well lit & breakfast was good. I’d stay here again if in the area.

When we got there, the lamp was not working and the TV was not working. We told the front desk and they even told us they should’ve never assigned that room to anybody because the smoke detectors were missing. They moved us to another room right away. The only problem is is every time someone goes there cause I have friends that go there too. The pool is always out. I needed to use the computer and that was all out so if there’s anything that’s out of order it needs to be fixed because we pay for those amenities. At least I did I chose that hotel because of the indoor pool. The staff was very friendly. The lobby was decorated with Christmas and it was really clean. I will say the carpets need to be shampooed or replaced, but I will be using that hotel again when I go back to Shreveport.

Very nice staff where were incredibly helpful and responsive. The gym was very run down and none of the machines worked. They could have had a water dispenser there and some dumb bells. Please fix the machines.

Breakfast was hot different meats, eggs, potatoes, sausage gravy every day (4).Breakfast bar was clean and it was kept stocked. Coffee was good. Waffle machine was in working order. Easy to get on and off interstate and plenty of restaurants near by.Would stay here again.Highly recommend.

Elevator was out of service. Had to lug everything up stairs. Ice machine was broke. Looked like black mold in the bathroom. Hallway reeked of cigarette smoke.

When we checked in, she told us the elevator was broken and the room we had was on the 2nd floor so we ‘d have to take the stairs. I was past the time frame to get a refund, so I asked if they had anything on the 1st floor and she said no. So, we proceeded to drag our suitcase and other things up the stairs to our assigned room. I was appalled when we saw the bathroom-it looked like black mold was running down the walls from the ceiling. The desk had sticky stuff all over it like it had never been wiped down. The curtain was broken and stained. We had just attended a funeral in the area, so I was tired and just wanted to change clothes and watch football so I overlooked the horrible room we were in. I changed and sat down to turn on the tv and several of the channels were pixelated, including the one I wanted to watch the game on. I should have headed down stairs and demanded my money back, but again we had driven into town that morning and attended a family funeral so I was distraught. We just left the hotel and went out for the rest of the day to watch football at a local place. We came back only to sleep there and head home. Absolutely disgusting and I can’t believe the price I paid!!!

This is definitely not an 8.2 rating. It should be a 5 at best. Other than the front desk person who was outstanding this place is a no go. It smells really bad. The floors are stained and dirty. The bathrooms had stains on the shower walls. The original room I requested was not available so they gave me two rooms with single beds. Normally that would not be a problem but this trip two of the adults could not sleep in the same bed. After complaining some how the room I selected was available and we got that. It took an hour to get it.

The room LOOKED clean but had an odor to it. I sprayed lysol and even a room spray, did not help.

The room that we were given smelled terrible and was dirty. It smelled like moldy/mildew everywhere and the bathroom was the worst. The floors were sticky. My husband wet a washcloth and wiped the bathroom floor and the white towel was black after.

This place had mold growing and things were broken in the room.

I had an appointment at local hospital for test the day of my check in. Had another early next morning. Wasn’t an enjoyable trip. The room stunk, pillows stuck, carpet was nasty. Your hotel needs an upgrade terribly! Wouldn’t recommend staying there to anyone

The hotel seems to be dated! Phones didn’t work! The toilet didn’t flush!!!! The beds were dated! The room lacked color! Every thing needs to be updated!

I booked a suite so we would have two TV. only one worked. Rooms and property needs have repairs and maintenance

Staff was friendly. Bad reception with WIFI. I was able to work nor join important meeting.

Hotel was okay. The elevator sounded like it has water falling as you went up. I’ve never been nervous before in an elevator and I was then. Rooms were dated and needs some deep cleaning. We stayed because it was rated 8.2 stars but we figured out why when we got there. There was a gentleman’s club right in front of the hotel! The smoke detectors in the room were covered in painters tape. Room was not recently painted so hopefully it was being prepared to be painted!

The staff was friendly. The room was clean. The breakfast was good, but the gravy little too salty. The TV was good. The bed was not very comfortable. The exhaust fan in our bathroom did not work; no towel rack. The seating in the room was good and comfortable. The water in Shreveport taste like sand, so every drink using city water tastes bad.

Check in was horrible. I was given 3 rooms before they gotit right. First room was occupied, 2nd room no entry lights and lamps working and thermostat was loose and in numbers could not be read, 3rd room desk chair would not stay raised to work at the desk and toilet was loose. When I finally got a descent room I was 30 minutes late to my meeting. Room was quiet. Bed was just ok. No curtain to block light from coming into the room only a sheer curtain. Food was hot and good. No fruit for beakfast. Easy checkout.

Upon arrival, I asked about the pet policy. Normally at Comfort Suites, I’m able to pay a fee to have my pet stay with me. After checking in with special needs children, I was told that I would have to leave if I got another noise disturbance. I advised the front desk that my children have disabilities. They told me, “Call it what you want” when I said it’s discrimination. So you if have children that are louder than quiet. I would advise to book at another hotel.

Will never recommend! Will never support again! Canceled my 2 rooms without me knowing! Gave them to someone else! And the hotel was sold out! I booked these rooms a month in advance! I was there at check in at 3:00pm With 12 family members! I’ve always stayed at this property! Even when I’m out of town! I can honestly tell you! They lost a long term customer! I will never support this company again!

I walked in a few minutes after my husband and was not acknowledged in any manner. The receptionist was on a personal call and my presence seemed to annoy her. Once in the room, I began to make myself comfortable and went to place a few items on the nightstand. I was appalled to discover it still had a large amount of wet food substance on it. We requested another room, although it was clean, it was evident maintenance did not complete a regular "walk-through" on each room . The light on one side of the bed was dull, we checked, both bulbs were burned out. Instead of replacing the bulbs, the moveable reading light was pointed into the lampshade. In addition, one light in the bathroom was burned out. This made the room very dark and difficult to shave or apply makeup. As for sleeping comfort, this hotel should consider replacing the mattresses. The middle of the mattress sunk so deep, it was shameful and was far from comfortable. If we were able to request a refund, we would have eagerly spent our money elsewhere.

Friendly, competent, and professional staff with drama-free check in and check out. A calm and quiet stay.

My overall stay was good, but the front desk clerk Sharon is very RUDE!!!

This hotel isn’t in the worst part of town, though some of the surrounding businesses are obviously aged or abandoned. Nevertheless, the hotel is clean, well managed, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. This is the nicest stay I’ve had in Shreveport to date.

Close to job, easy access to high way Much quieter than I expected

The hotel felt safe and secure, had good parking, delicious free breakfast (would have liked it to last until 10, but I’m sure 9:00 is the norm), staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The only drawback was that the room carpet had a musty smell when we’d walk in the room. Not a deal-breaker though. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. I got a suite but the TV was located in the bed area. Would have been nice to seat on the couch to watch TV. The breakfast was absolutely horrible. Everything was microwaved. There where no options other than microwaved fake eggs and sausage. I expected alittle better for the priced I paid.
