The room was moderately clean. There was gum left on the wall, but the sheets were clean. The staff was wonderful. The gym floor was dirty, had no towels or water, and the bathrooms off the gym had no soap. The pool was out of order. Room cleaning had to be requested (so we missed out). This looks like it used to be a beautiful property and could be nice again if the bathrooms were renovated and main hall carpet replaced. They even used to have a sauna and tanning bed, which were out of order. But the staff was extremely nice and responsive.

Checked into room got in and room was not what I had reserved. Rude front desk They told me someone switched my room with a cheaper one and saved me 40 dollars I stated that’s not what I reserved or paid for she stated a big tour group came in and took the 2 bedroom I said that’s unacceptable and they switched it from someone else’s room so they got screwed too Pool has not been in operation since October and isn’t going to be fixed anytime soon hotel needs a full remodel is stuck in the 70s beds are terrible pillows terrible trash lined up in bags down hallway breakfast was good no elevator and outside doors are always unlocked hallways are really hot and smell moldy even in middle of night will not stay again

Comfortable bed, pillows and rooms. Clean inside. The halls and lobby, are dated and hot. NO ELEVATOR so plan accordingly. Nice pool and hot tub.

The hotel had a musty smell in the rugs, the shower curtain was too small and the pool was out of order in the middle of summer. The website still advertised that they had a pool. I would have never booked if I knew that the pool was out of order.

Decent visit. Friendly staff. One of reasons I chose location is indoor pool for my 8 year old. Unfortunately pool was closed. Both Ice machines I could find were broken and area where they serve breakfast was very cramped. Looks like they just took a room on second floor and made it breakfast area. Overall good foe the price.

THe first room the door was left open so we were concerned if it was clean - but it had a bad oder. The second room had a dirty towel in the room and the trash had a stinky diaper in the trash. And the room had a much worse smell. We were in a time crunch and checked in late and could not change hotels - WE WOULD HAVE - NEVER STAYING THERE AGAIN!!

This hotel was a huge disappointment. The entire place smelled terrible, and the carpet reeked and felt filthy. It looked more like a rundown motel than a proper hotel—cheap and neglected. The smell was so bad it felt suffocating. Definitely would not recommend.

Lots of little red ants in the room; once they sprayed, we did not see any more. Baseboards need caulked in bathroom. Paint peeling on the ceiling in the bathroom. Mattress needs replaced, it sinks from use, pillows are too thin. Overall, the room was clean, and it did not smell. Check in area is nice and cool, the hallways are way, way too hot and not inviting. Breakfast was not replenished and there was a 1/2 hour left until it closed. The person working did not seem concerned and was not readily available. Not all the food in heating containers was hot; glad there was a microwave. I did like the waffle maker, and it worked well.

Room was small, and ac hardley worked. Shower curtian was partly in toilet when I walked in to the bathroom, I had to remove it FROM then toilet. AC unit barley worked and had browm marks on it. There were hand prints on the ceiling. One of the beds hair black hairs in the sheets, that were supposed to be clean! After some tears our family found another hotel and checked out after less then an 1 hour stay! Did not appear the hotel was well maintained, stains and hair in halls too. The one positive is the lady at front desk was friendly. We left and went to a different hotel in the area!

Mold on bathroom ceilings, carpet in rooms and out in hallways terribly stained and dirty. Locks on room doors don’t work properly, air conditioning doesn’t work much, breakfast room extremely hot no air, was 10 till 9 and breakfast not being put out. No refills of anything in breakfast items. Smoke smelling in rooms, hallways. Didn’t feel very safe at all but had no choice but to stay. Was upset to see how bad this has deteriorated, stayed a few years ago and it was a really nice place. All employees I met was very nice.

The room I stayed in was one of the first in their remodeling phase. Carpet and paint were all new. The furniture was dated but it was clean and functional. The room was across the hall from the entrance to the office and starting at 5:30am good luck getting any sleep... It was like sleeping in the middle of a train station. I would return, but definitely request another room. STAY AWAY FROM ROOMS NEAR THE OFFICE.

Clean, no frills lodging. Pool and game room have seen better days, and the room's HVAC unit could be sampled as and used as punk rock percussion. Very comfortable bed, and great water pressure in the shower.

Average hotel. First room we got into, it had a bad smell to it. Went to the front and requested another room. Second room smelled much better. Staff was friendly and cooperative. Room and hotel was clean. I’m not sure I’ll stay here again though. Price is decent.

The only thing I could negatively critique is the carpets as we’re a bit elderly with slight musty odor. Almost like there had been smokers in the room at some earlier time. The bathroom fan was quite noisy. It needs replacing too. But otherwise,the bed was comfortable, tv worked ,bathroom was clean with everything necessary and the room was quiet. The location was convenient.

This is the quietest hotel we have stayed at in a very long time. Also the best breakfast. Real eggs! Lots of variety. It is an older property with upgrades that are nice touches. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was clean but had an overwhelming smell of something trying to cover up cigarette smoke odor. Staff was helpful and treated in our comments about the room.

I parked in the Port Cochere and a regular visitor parked across the front of my car, so I had to squeeze out. The receptionist was more interested in talking to him than me. Then she placed me in a room as far away from the desk and breakfast room as she could. The room was about 64 degrees when I entered, so I had to turn the heat up on high all night. Bathroom was very clean and I think the maid took pride in arranging it. This location appears to be under renovation. The pool was empty with a sign on the door. Nothing on the web site states this was under renovation and it appeared that it would take months to start. Whole hotel was dated.

I had to come back up to Cumberland briefly. I'm glad to have stayed in this hotel another time to be able to spend more time with the amazing staff there. The room I had was very clean and comfortable and everybody was just there for me. The breakfast room is very nice and they have some pretty nice breakfast options. It was a pleasure staying again to have more time to spend with Macie, Aaron, Cindy, Patty, and Alan. I had a good night sleep. And I enjoyed talking to the people at the desk because I used to work the overnight shift in my early 20s. I like how the people here are for real. If there wasn't issue, they took care of things very responsibly and responsively.

First time stay for a Frostburg graduation, great hotel for the price and not far from the college. Breakfast was good, although a better fruit selection would be nice. The staff were amazing. We check in late and checked out late, asked for extra towels and they happily obliged.

1. I checked in on Sunday for 5 days, but later extended to 7 days. On Wednesday I asked that the room be cleaned on Friday because my wife was joining me. After returning to the room on Friday evening when we arrived to find the room not cleaned. When I went to the front desk to find out why it hadn't been cleaned the clerk said you have to give us 24 hours. I told him I gave you 48 hours. I didn't even get an apology. 2. There was mold in the shower/bathroom stall. My wife is a severe asthmatic and she woke up Saturday with an attack. 3. On Monday I requested that one of the light bulbs above the sink be replaced because it was out. Never happened. 4. The breakfast was a nice touch except the eggs were ice cold, inedible. The milk containers were empty and there was no yogurt. The young man replaced the milk and told me that I better get it now because that is all we have and we're out of yogurt. 5. The sink fills with water when you wash your hands or brush your teeth and is very slow to drain.

Pool was under construction or updates....did not tell me when booked. The woman that checked us in and the 2nd night was incredibly rude and condescending. Also WAY overshared her life and attitude about previous customers. Rooms arent cleaned, trash not emptied, towels not replaced unless you put in a request DAILY. Was not informed of this at check in. Came back to hotel mid afternoon only to have to walk around 4 employees around a swing apparently all on a smoke break. Not a very positive experience

When we went to our room, we found out that it was already occupied. You guys had double book a room we had to go back to the service desk and pick up another room. The more I thought about this. The more I thought we were in a dangerous situation thank goodness nobody had guns. Also, your commode is in the bathroom set way too low for anyone who has ever had a hip operation or a knee replacement. Difficult for any senior person to get up from.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. We had to wait about 30 minutes for our room to get cleaned, which was no big deal as we had to run to the store. Got back checked in, room was clean and smelled great. Although the ac wasn't working very well, we were in a hurry to get out the door for an event. Next morning I mentioned it to the front desk and they sent someone right down. We had to leave for another event and by the time we came back there was a new unit with plenty of cold air. Is the place in need of updates? Probably, but it is a great priced hotel with staff that care and are great at trying to fix any problem that should arise. As my daughter is a freshman at the college and plays a sport we will be down often. This will be our first choice of place to stay. Hopefully next time we will have enough time to visit the pool.

This motel was a find! Easy entry - between two main roads. Restaurant shares one of the three parking lots and there are loads of others around; yet, because of the trees surrounding and the beautiful creek right next to, didn't really hear road noises. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and the attention continues inside as well. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The room was large, the bed comfortable, the amenities way above average! Breakfast was excellent and served hot with loads of choices; the breakfast area was large and kept clean.

The hotel was definitely outdated and they seemed to have a shortage of front desk staff. The girl working the breakfast bar was friendly, but when i saw her put the biscuits in the microwave to heat them up and grab a box of liquid eggs to heat up in the microwave as well… it was kind of a turn off. I’m sure most hotels with the same rating do the same, but the microwave isn’t in the dining area with the guests

For a 3 star motel it is really nice. The free breakfast is the real deal eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, cereal you name it they had.
